Windows will not install updates after "update definition for windows defender-KB915597(Definition 1.21.1279.0) 03/03/09 '"

Since I installed the updated definition for windows defender-KB915597(Definition 1.21.1279.0) 03/03/09, I was not able to install the new updates. I don't know why, but none of the updates I have been install, or at least try, are installation and saying "Success" next to them. I've used different methods to dispose of everything, if I have any, virus and still have not seen any progress. And unfortunately, I deleted all my restore points to keep the memory on my laptop. I have too many errors, report them all, but some of the things I did to check to ensure that I have no viruses do analyses of the complete system and remove a mysterious software they gave me an alert by (using McAfee Security). Any help will be considered. Help, please! :(

If you install the hidden recovery partition to do the cleaning, you will probably not the product key. Otherwise, use one on the sticker attached to the computer. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

But after restoring I have big problems with the installation of programs. I was able to install Firefox and antivirus (Avast) with no problems, but other programs - such as versions updates to Adobe Reader and Flash player and Libreoffice - will not be installed at all. I can download files facility but when clicking on it nothing happens. I checked the Task Manager, so they are not running in the background.

I also face similar problems with Windows update. It is stuck on the installation of Vista SP1. It is said that the installation can take a large amount of time and it may restart the computer several times, but what installation it goes very fast (without rebooting) and said that the installation is complete. But when you search for new updates of SP1 is still there and not installed.

Thus, recent updates do not keep install .  What's up with the updates? What is happening with this? Should I just go buy Windows 7?  I spend hours looking for solutions and never ask for help, but this time I am so tired so I'm going to ask.  Below are updates that keep a failure... Notice they're on SP2 * and IE8. My PC alread had installed SP2.  I tried an update for this.  I have switch from IE 7 to 8. I don't see any other reasons.

    Hello

I suggest you follow these methods and see if it helps:

    Method 1:

Try to install the update to the clean boot and check if it helps.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: Don't forget to start your machine in normal mode by following step 7 of the link.

    Method 2:

You can try temporarily turning on all security software and then try the updates again.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Important note:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

I suggest you to reset the Windows Update components and check.

    a. Click Start and type Services.msc and press ENTER.

    b. Locate the Windows Installer Service.

    c. double-click on it to check if the service is started or not.

    d. change the startup type to automatic and Start the service.

    e. check the same thing for Windows Installer of Module service.

    f. Press ok and close the Services window.

If this does not work then the safest course would be to remove all Adobe Creative Software using the uninstaller programs located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.  This should then remove the Adobe Application Manager folder also within public services.  Once the software is completely uninstalled and Adobe Application Manager is deleted, then you should be able to reinstall it from https://creative.adobe.com/.
