Windows Xp 64-bit will be able to run Firefox 7
I hesitate to try FF7 because I had to remove Firefox when I tried to install FF6 and then reinstall FF5.
What was the problem with FF6? If it were pages takes too long to load or crashes too, you can try changing the maximum number of connections allowed in everything: config.
try of Network.http.Max - connections - 48
FF6 number was changed to 256, and it's too much for some connection configurations.

My motherboard is capable of sli and currently have a processor intel core 2 duo processor, shopping for a core 2 quad. Hi Eloise,.
I believe you are referring to Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. If the tool indicates that the computer is compatible then you can certainly go ahead with the upgrade.
As for your question on performance, you can check out the following link.

How can you do recent items don't forget these past .avi and .wmv files
HelloYou can change some values in the registry. To do this, copy / paste the following text in Notepad, save it as a MP3WAVRecent.reg file and double-click this file to add it to the registry database:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.MP3]
"EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.WAV]
"EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00Note that plus save recently used for the Jumplist instead of frequently used must be checked in the Options of WMP - player, as well as the music at the bottom of life private tab.Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. I have a Windows Vista Home Premium with a 64 processor. It is able to run 64-bit programs and 32-bit. It seems (wired) LOL, to run 64-bit programs. I understand that it saves space on the CPU? I'm desperate to run the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player, but it will only work in 32-bit version of Windows Vista. Is it possible that I can get there? I checked my system & under Internet Explorer 32-bit, the only programs are JAVA STANDARD VERSION 6, version 1.6.0. & Speech text... Is there anyway I can use my 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to run some programs that I can't run currently not using the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer?
Hello
1. what happens when you try to install 32-bit programs?
2. you receive an error message?
3 are you facing this problem with any program in particular?4 is that the problem is with addons like adobe flash player works only in Internet Explorer?
Most of the programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows works on 64-bit Windows version. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs. Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. At the same time the programs designed for the 64 bit version of Windows will not work on the 32-bit version of Windows -

Do I need a 64 bit OS? Is this a BIOS problem, or it will never recognize the 6 GB of Ram? Make the slow computer run with much openAll versions of Windows 32-bit client (not just Vista/XP/7) have a 4GBaddress space (64-bit versions can use much more). It's thetheoretical upper limit beyond which you cannot go.But you can not use all of the 4 GB of address space. Even if youhave a 4 GB address space, you can use * autour * 3. 1 GB of RAM.This is because some of the space is used by the hardware and is notavailable for the operating system and applications. The amount you canuse varies, depending on what hardware you have installed, but canrange from as little as 2 GB to 3.5 GB. It's usually around3. 1 GB.Note that the hardware is using the address * space *, not the realThe RAM itself. If you have a larger amount of RAM, the rest of the RAMgoes unused because there is no address to map space to.You should get 64-bit Windows? It is difficult to answer, because there area lot of factors (see below). But you need exceeds the 3.5 GB ofRAM, you are able to use? It depends on what applications run you, but for the mostpeople, the answer is no.Here is my standard message on 64-bit Windows:The advantage of running a 64 bit version of Windows for the most part areonly if you are also running applications 64-bit under him. Don't forget thatThere is very little such available requests. If you arecurrently running 32-bit Windows, you don't have any 64-bitapplications, so to get a significant advantage, you not onlyhave to replace Windows, but also of your applications, * if * (and it'sa big "If") are 64-bit versions. Also note that you will need the 64-bit for all drivers your hardware. These drivers may not be available, especially if some of yourthe material is a few years old. So it is possible that you might alsoto replace things like your printer, scanner, etc.So the answer to your question, it's that it would not be a good ideaRight away. This will no doubt change in the near future, as 64-bitapplications are becoming more available, but for now, Windows 64 - bit oftenYou hear some additional trouble and benefits costs little or not.On the other hand, install Windows 64-bit instead of 32-bit Windowsallows you to purchase 64-bit software available, insteadolder versions of 32-bit. This means that the 64-bit installationWindows - even though it may not do much for you at the present time - putsyou in a better position for the future. One extra point: the 64-bit version allows you to use more than theabout 3.1 GB of RAM can be used by the 32-bit version. Very littlepeople must or may make effective use more than 3. 1 GB, but if youare one of those that can, it's something else to consider.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows desktop experience) since 2003Ken Blake

Windows XP 64 bit will run on a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF or Optiplex 980 SFF?
I intend to buy a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF or a Dell Optiplex 980 SFF, but I would like to know which one will work with Windows XP 64-bit.
For Windows XP 64 Bit its better to use the somewhat hidden (old ftp site):
http://FTP.Dell.com/Browse_For_Drivers/desktops/OptiPlex/OptiPlex%20780/
http://FTP.Dell.com/Browse_For_Drivers/desktops/OptiPlex/OptiPlex%20790/
http://FTP.Dell.com/Browse_For_Drivers/desktops/OptiPlex/OptiPlex%20980/
This has the old drivers listed in multiple versions, including XP x 64 drivers not mentioned on drivers and downloads. The new ftp site is currently slightly broken.

Upgrading to Windows XP 64 bit will allow the upgrade to 2 GB?
I have an IBM G40 with OS of Wndows XP 32 bits that I've recently upgraded to 1 GB of RAM. Upgrade to 64-bit will allow me to go up to 2 GB?
Your machine's CPU does not support a 64-bit operating system.
You will be able to maximize this G40 with 2 x 1 GB of RAM, regardless of the operating system that you are running.
Happy update.

Windows 7 64 bit will be hired not my Canon MF 5770 driver
I try to install my Canon multifunction MF 5770 on my new Dell Latitude E5500 computer that works with Windows 7 64 bit operating system.
I tried the driver on the Canon Web site, downloaded to my hard drive and it not compressed to a folder.
When I connect the MF 5770 via USB it tries to find the driver and do not recognize the driver on my local computer and suggests to find the driver online. I searched it online again and returned to the Canon Web site and download another copy of the driver. Window still does not recognize the new driver.
I tried the manually to add the printer via hdwwiz and navigate to the folder where the driver is stored. The installation in this folder information files are only 3 KB, 20KO and 3 KB for printer, scanner and fax, respectively. I tried to install the drviers and get the error message: error 0 x 00000002 "printer driver was not installed.
Help, please.
Have you followed the steps that have been described during the installation?
Before you start installing the driver, connect only the LAN cable first, don't connect not the USB at the moment. This is necessary for your printer to acquire automatically IP address before starting the installation of the driver and activate the function of the driver installation. Driver and application software files have been compressed. The following instructions show you how to download the compressed files and unzip them. 1. connect the printer to your network using the LAN cable. (If applicable) 2. to download files, click [I Agree-Begin Download] icon, select [Save] and specify the directory where you want to save the file. Click [Save] to start the download of the file. 3. downloaded are saved in the folder specified in a self-extracting form (.exe format). 4. double-click on the file to decompress them. A new folder will be created in the same folder. New folder has the same name with the unzipped file. 5. install the printer driver according to 'Readme.txt' stored in the folder. 6. after have installed the drivers, plugged in the USB cable to the printer. Linksys WUSB54GC driver problem Windows 7 64 bit - will not allow
I have a Linksys WUSB54GC 3 Wireless Network Adapter version. I downloaded the latest driver on the Linksys support page that says that it is fully compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. The adapter will not allow. After 3 grueling cat takes support sessions with Linksys, they could not understand it and threw the problem back to my Tower say it must be a problem with my Windows 7 64 bit. I searched for Windows and Linksys support forums and some people have had luck, and others have not. The driver has been installed manually several times as well as the removal of material, resettlement and loading the driver again and again. I am trying to connect to my router Linksys WRT54G which has the latest firmware and has another computer wireless connected to it without any problems. If anyone can help?
