Windows XP activation fails, even if my copy is authentic.

A few years ago, I bought a pre built PC and specified Windows XP Pro to electrify with her. This machine died years ago and sat idle, however, I have now rebuilt a machine using parts of this machine plus another and reinstalled my copy of XP Pro. Although I don't have the original key sticker, I used keyfinder to get an account rendered my key and then disappeared on Windows activation, which failed to activate. Because it is an automated service, I have no way to talk to Microsoft and this machine does not connect to the internet, its used just as a word processor now. My copy of XP Pro has been recativated a couple of times over the years when wiping once and replacing a faulty hard drive, but it is a genuine version, purchased by me, used on a single computer. EC who on earth can I now please?

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Windows 7 activation failed - 0xC004C008 error code

    Hello

Back in 2011, I bought a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium to upgrade my desktop computer.

I had to replace the hard drive at the time, so it was a fresh install of Windows 7 on the machine (not an upgrade in itself)

A couple of weeks, I had a new new office and think that because I already had a version authentic Windows 7 the disk, I might as well get a new machine without operating system and install Windows 7 top.

It has been working well for about a week, but this morning I got a message saying that my version of Windows could not be validated. It's the complete error which is to come:

    Code: 0xC004C008

Desription: The activation server determined that the specified product key cannot be used.

Most of the support that I've read online indicates that Windows has been activated too many times, but I don't see how this is the case. To be clear, this is only the second time that the product key that came with my version of Windows 7 Home Premium has been used.

I have to get Microsoft to put something else?

    Who should I contact?

EDIT: I've seen instructions suggesting I need to activate by phone to make it work. However, I don't seem to have an option to activate by phone. All the instructions I have seen suggest right click on computer > select Properties > activate Windows now and choose to activate by phone. However, I have no option when I try these steps. The only options I have are activate Windows online now or ask again Me later. So I can't find the phone number of an Activation Center to the United Kingdom.

EDIT 2: I'm sorry. Taken the lead. Figured it out myself! Thank you all the same.

    Thank you very much

    Neil.

If you buy a "full version" of Windows 7, or even an "Upgraded" version, you are limited to having it installed and activated on one PC at a time.

  • Lost Windows 7 Activation, get the message this copy of Windows is not genuine

I took computer at Staples after I turned off my computer when Windows 10 attempted to settle without my consent.  I lost everything, but the Staples technicians have been able to get all the return after a "factory reset".  Now 30 days after I plugged everything back up and reinstall all my software, I get message "this copy of Windows is not genuine".  Also the popup that says: "you can be a victim of software counterfeiting."  I called Staples and they said ' don't not to reply to the message to repair Windows and it's probably a scam ', and I had to bring my new computer (I is not happy that Staples course does not resolve Windows 7 in the first place because I now get these warnings).  My question is: can I trust the message that says to go on this web site to repair Windows?  Also, after the upgrade to Windows 10 for a long time, I am now wants to just go ahead if it makes me this problem... How do I do that?

  • R050sa flow 11: Activation fails after a clean install on laptop pre-installed Windows 10

I just bought a HP notebook 11 r050sa stream with Windows preinstalled Home 10, but could not start when it opened its doors to the top (circle kept spinning turn for hours).

As I was intending to do a clean install anyway, to remove any HP bloatware, I decided to delete all partitions and perform a new installation from a USB key using the official Microsoft Media creation tool for Windows 10 Home https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10.

Installation went well but the activation failed indicating that I have "do not have a digital right.

How is this possible, since the PC came with Windows preinstalled 10? How can I get my license back?

There was a surprising new twist in this question, should I report it here in case someone else is in the same situation.

When I received the activation failed I reported to my original request, I had done the installation using the edition entitled 'Windows 10 unilingual homepage' (see figure below), which seemed to me the only option if I wanted to install "Windows 10 home" which is preinstalled on my laptop.

Yesterday I did a last attempt at creating USB installation after selecting 'Windows 10' (see figure below). Yet once, I removed all partitions on disk and performed a completely clean install on my HP notebook 11 r050sa flow.

The result is that, in the end installation smoothly, I found my computer with installed "Windows 10 Home" and fully active, without the need to insert an activation key of windows, with all the drivers installed automatically by Windows and without any HP bloatware!

I'm puzzled by the outcome, but happy...

  • Windows Activation failed after the replacement CMOS battery

I upgraded my computer (HP Pavilion m7570n) from Windows XP to Windows 7 Pro (64), with the exception of a few problems earlier with the installation of MSE, it works well and much faster than Windows XP, has never had a problem starting up.

Since the machine is approximately 8 years and the CMOS battery has never been replaced, I thought that it might be justified to replace. I did, quickly to avoid the CMOS to discharge. But now, whenever I start my computer, I get a message that my Windows 7 Pro is not a genuine copy and it requires a new activation process, which when I try it doesn't work. I entered the real code in the package of Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, the same code that I used to own initial installation, I did the upgrade.

Everything seems to work fine, except the notification of activation and the non-genuine warning.

Any idea on how to get this problem resolved?

    Any help will be appreciated

  • Windows says that my copy is authentic, but update Windows 10 says that it is not

I built my PC myself four years ago and have not had any problems with the copy of Windows 7 Pro that I bought, until I started trying to pass to Windows 10 free. The update of Windows 10 says that I need to activate my copy of Windows 7.

However, when I right click on computer and click Properties, it says "Windows is activated." I was wondering if the copy I bought was not official, so I downloaded the Microsoft Genuine Advantage diagnostic tool. He also says that my copy is genuine.

What can I do to solve this problem, or I can get a new key of Windows 7 and can reactivate somehow my copy of Windows 7 Pro? Thank you.

According to your report, it is allowed. Try to upgrade manually:

    To learn more:

How to install and activate Windows 10 using your Windows 7 or Windows 8 product key

    try to upgrade manually:

    Option 1:

    Download the media creation tool

Click with the right button on the MediaCreationTool.exe file and then click on run as administrator.

Note: How to check if you are downloaded or installed the update Windows 10 November

How to create an ISO or USB drive.

Select upgrade this PC now and then click Next

    Option 2:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
  • Windows 7 Activation professional failure on new hard drive?

I perform a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional. During the installation because I'm invited, I enter the key of Windows 7 Professional. The process continues, and Windows 7 Pro is installed. I see the AUTHENTIC logo in system folder as you see below:

A few days passed and I notice that the computer slows down. He know it was the hard drive, which ultimately fails. Now, I can't do anything: I can't use the computer, reinstall, or disable Windows, so I buy a new hard drive and install instead.

I perform clean installation of Windows 7 Professional again. The process is identical to the front. And the Windows 7 Pro is installed. My computer with her new disc works fine. But then I noticed that the AUTHENTIC in the system folder logo has disappeared. Instead of him, I get this:

I try to activate Windows under the command prompt to activate, you can see in the yellow outline. Activation fails with the message: the Windows 7 Professional product key, you have entered for activation is not valid.

I wonder what happened. And I have these questions in my mind:

What is, since the windows could not be turned off while I was using the computer with the old hard drive, it is still active here?

And now even if it process the same computer due to the replacement of the HDD activation see it as another, as if I am trying to install the same license Windows on two different machines?

    Help, please!

Dell reinstall drive includes the OEM SLC factory product key so no activation is required on your part. The drivers are also included, but play no role in activation except to provide an Internet connection for the verification / validation of the Dell product key.

  • Windows 7 computer bought at Futureshop - this copy of windows is not genuine.

    Hello

We bought a laptop HP from Futureshop in Sept 2011 and everything worked fine until 2 days ago.  We are running Windows 7 Home Premium. When we bought the computer, technicians from Futureshop installed service pack 1 and all other updates.  The operating system has been pre-installed and activated.

Two days ago suddenly while on Facebook, we got a pop up that says "this copy of windows is not authentic.   Since that, we get the same message in the lower right desk top.  We thought that this might be some malicious programs and therefore we have executed a number of analyses on the computer but have not found any viruses or malware.  Y at - it a fix for this or do we need to reactivate our copy of windows?

If you have not yet done so, try to activate again. If activation fails, see the Microsoft Diagnostics real link below.

Activate Windows 7 on this computer:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/activate-Windows-7-on-this-computer

Case of failure of the online activation:

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

    1. open Windows Activation - click on the Start button, right-click computer, click Properties, then click the option to activate Windows now or change your key.

    2. click on show me other ways to activate.

3 type your Windows 7 product key (check the bottom of the laptop and the battery Bay) and then click Next.

    4. click on use the automated phone system.

    5. click on the location nearest you from the drop-down list, and then click Next.

    6. dial one of the available phone numbers listed.

    7. do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

If you are still unable to activate:

    (1) download and run the Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012

    (2) then copy and paste your results for inspection.

  • Remote Graphics Software: Remote Graphics Software activation failed

    Hallo,

I had to replace an old workstation with HP Remote Graphics Software (the workstation of the sender, the machine with the reception part is always the same) on this subject.

Since the installation of RGS 6.0.1 on the new machine, I get a pop up whenever I connect to it:

    Advanced features activation failed

Already, I discovered that this has something do with activation without the software work.

Version of the sender is 6.0.1 as shown above.

    Version of receiver is 7.0.1.

There are two different versions, because it was setup on the old sender (with always the same receiver machine) and it worked very well there.

I also tried the newer versions of the sender, still does not.

As far I knew the remote software activation should occur automatically when having an internet connection.

I have internet and no proxy or something fancy.

By coincidence, I found an article that describes the manual setting of the license server in the island of receiver config.

There was still an old man and I changed it to the last (I hope):

    15.0.92.201

Same settings for the firewall on the old and the new sender's machine.

He worked with the old machine, we also have another pair of workstations transceiver, which work fine as well.

I now use the license file, from the old machine to the new machine.

Could it be a problem (although I did not see a MAC address restriction in the license file itself)?

    Best regards

    n7c

To activate the speed of HP or STROKE with RGS receiver versions 7.1.1 (or earlier version) the activation server address must be changed by editing the Configuration file of RGS receiver or using the receiver RGS (details below) Configuration tool.
    RGS receiver Configuration file
The RGS receiver Configuration file, rgreceiverconfig, is located in both
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Remote graphic Receiver\regeceiverconfig (Windows)
    / etc/opt/hpremote/rgreceiver/rgreceiverconfig (Linux)
Locate the Rgreceiver.Registration.IpAddress property in the file, it uncomment and set it as follows:
    Rgreceiver.Registration.IpAddress = 15.0.92.201
    RGS receiver Configuration tool
With RGS 7.1 the server address can also change with the receiverConfigApp.exe on Windows or receiverConfigApp.sh on Linux. The address of the server is in the Activation tab.
Also find URLs for the authorization of RGS user guide
