Windows XP, battery indicator disappeared

After that I did the update of Windows (Windows XP), the blue battery indicator disappeared from the taskbar. Normally when the computer ran on battery there is a battery next to the clock indicator and shows the battery level. Now I see the battery indicator only after that I uninstalled the Toshiba Power Saver, utility. Obviously, there is a conflict between the utility and the updates. Any ideas?

Hello

I'm not sure but I think the blue battery is MS. power management tool If you use the Toshiba designed tool here are the more detailed settings.

    Hello

First, shut down the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then hold the Power button for 30 seconds.

Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the battery, on the right, click on and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery, then start the computer turned on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes and see if the battery level decreases as it should.

  • Satellite R850 - faulty battery indicator? How to calibrate?

My Satellite R850 stops at about 70% of the battery capacity. It is not suspended, just power off. Market is possible only when the AC adapter is reconnected. My first guess is that (after only a year of daily use), the battery had its best time and must be replaced.

But why the battery indicator only shows the right capacity, so I can get a warning to low battery power?
Is there a tool or method for recalibrating the battery?

    Hello

To me, that shows that your battery is defective.
Usually sooner or later each battery needs to be replaced because the battery life is limited.
I have no idea how old your battery is but in my case the battery is 5 years old and he hold the power for about 2 min only. But the funny thing is that the battery indicator indicates battery is fully charged (100%).

However, you can extend the lifetime of battery a little bit. You need to calibrate the battery from time to time in charge and discharge of battery. This procedure should be repeated several times is the row
But I guess these calibrations and your battery failure doesn't help much.

  • Excite Pro - battery indicator to 0%

Battery indicator is stuck at 0% - battery charge is ok don't know what it is. I guess the battery statistics file is damaged - is the only way to fix a factory reset?

Calibration must either root - not possible or charge of 60% - will not work as 0%!

I think you should set it to factory settings.
Press and hold the power button / stop and the volume up button. Then from the menu choose factory reset.

If it does not, then, the question must be linked to the hardware failure

  • iPhone battery indicator 6 s is still not exact

I think that iOS 9.3 update was supposed to fix the problem where the iPhone 6 and 6 s more the battery indicator are not accurate. I'm under 9.3, but still see the same symptoms, or a fall of 3% at the same time, or turn off completely with 10-15% left. I was going to submit a bug report, but wanted to see if it's just a problem with my particular iPhone first.

Try to calibrate your battery first to see if your phone and not a bug. I use a 6 s and have not (yet) noticed these symptoms, I have found other reproducible problems with the battery percentage and have so far submitted two bug for these reports.

  • Re: Satellite A100-811 main battery indicator is OFF

    Hello

I have a toshiba satellite a100-811 and the problem is the following:
When it is plugged in, the main indicator should be blue (full load) or orange (charge).
Now it is off (no light at all).

I unplugged DC and back is plugged and the fire was orange for a few seconds and then went off again. Battery is charged at 99%.

What is a battery or a motherboard problem?
The laptop is old. Should I be backing up my files?

    > Should I be backing up my files?

You should always have a backup of your files in case something bad happens to your laptop or HARD drive.
But the battery issue would not affect your files directly.

    However, try this:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Now hold down the power button / stop along 30 sec.
Then, plug the battery and plug in the AC adapter and check if the battery indicator would be IT.

But I think that if the laptop is still running even if the AC adapter is not connected, then the battery should be ok

  • Satellite C650: Battery indicator is always orange even after a full charge

My toshiba laptop C650 has indicator sistem to always load amber.
Even if it is fully charged.

If I disconnect from charger it works on battery long enough, that tell me may battery is ok.
But why this indicator stay amber? Is there a problem?

I have to worry about this?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Usually, the battery indicator should go green (color depending on phone model) if the battery is fully charged.
If the battery indicator changes not amber green/blue then this would mean that the battery is not completely charged
Well, maybe you should try to calibrate the battery once more
Discharge the battery to his completely empty, then load it again until the battery status would show 100% charge then discharge the battery once again this procedure should be repeated two, three times in the line!

If this is not enough, well, you might try a new battery but I put t know if its worth it to buy a new battery if the current battery still works well.

This means that you have activated the power of your iPhone, mode economy by accident.

Generally, it only asks if you want to enable this mode when your battery gets low, but you can have inadvertently turned in another way. It can be turned on even if the iPhone is 100%
