  Recently I have experienced several stutters in my laptop. I just got this laptop about 3-4 months ago. I'm in Windows 8.

  Where these are important, here are the specifications of my laptop:

  HP Pavilion G4

  4.0 GB RAM

  I don't know exactly what causes my laptop to freeze all of a sudden. A few freezes/hangs are relatively short: similar all about 10-30 seconds, but some end up being on an a minute or two, and when it starts to hang on for a very long time, I am forced to close manually my laptop, which I read it, is really not good.

  I tried to clean up the junk in my laptop, running various scans of malware and viruses, uninstall several programs, deleting a few unnecessary files, my "high performance" power plan in hopes of getting the CPU in my laptop to work more efficiently, and quickly turn off start. I have not tried the cold start again, because I afraid that I might do something wrong and eventually damage my laptop.

  Guys do you have other recommendations on what do I do? The gel randomly my laptop starts to annoy me a kind of not-so-good.

  (1) press on Ctrl-Shift-Escape to display the Task Manager

  (2) go to the Startup tab and disable all indicated

  (3) restart your computer

  If it persists, take note of what program you use to help limit.

  I have a Satellite L500 - UR. Opening a file large MS Word, my computer runs very slowly and ends by crashes. The main problem is with the Windows browser, because it gets nervous and freezes constantly, as if a program has been demanding a lot of computer resources.   From what you have posted, I don't see Toshiba accept that there is a fault. I would be looking at the size of the word files and consider if they need 'cleaning' - MS used to provide a utility on their website to strip unused text and 'code '... Word is not designed to write a book in a single file and no one dependent on the version made recommendations to deal with multi file documents. "master document" was one of the terms used.

• Using WIN XP SP3 and OE 6 many crashes and freezes

  I use WIN XP SP3 Home edition and OE6.  I have three problems 1.  Very slow operation.  2. frequent crashes when you delete the email.  3. frequent freezes and shuts down completely.

  It makes it almost impossible to get anything done.  It takes most of the morning to read my mail.  Work with IE8 is the same slow, crashes, and freezes.

  You probably corrupted dbx files. Compact all folders first and see which helps. If this isn't the case, create a new identity.

  Apart from that, regarding the navigation/google etc this is fine - as usual.
  I can't think of any activity I've done to change the settings and rarely watch / download anything which may have been infected or caused the problem.

  As I suspected, being unable to turn the struggling service more having Center security download - the problem wasn't with live Windows itself but a virus.
  I fortunately was able to find and download free Microsoft Security Essentials, which during a scan of one night or more detected viruses "win32/Ramnit.A" that he got rid of for me - and things fortunately returned to normal.
