  • PC does not recognize the Sony Walkman when it is attached

In the past, I have downloaded podcasts on the website of the BBC, and then by clicking and dragging transferred files to the Walkman. For some time now, the PC won't recognize the Walkman when connected.

The USB cable and the Walkman unit are not damaged - both checked on my PC at work.

Norton anti virus downloaded a file at the same time of connection ceased, but which has been verified by one of its engineers to remove the software and put it back.

A Sony engineer suggested countless solutions that are proved to be unsuccessful, including resetting and reformatting of the Walkman, for nothing will do.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Sony software and still no results.

I saw a message a couple of times that reads; Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19). Click on 'Search for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available. When I tried to click on it, I was unable to register. Does anyone know what should be my next move?

It seems to me that it is something PC based - it could be something to do with Media Player maybe... I don't know any more!

    I suggest the following:

    1. Uninstall everything related to first on your mp3 player.

2 check your disk for errors, right click on the C drive in my computer, then choose Properties on the Tools tab, click dock now... then check the two checkboxes, then click Start then restart your PC.

    3 preform scan using

    4. to ensure that your system is clean then use CCleaner to get rid of the files useless http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download and also clean your registry.

    5. do the cleaning and disc fragment to improve the performance of your system. (optional)

8 run the checker (sfc) system via cmd files. (run cmd as administrator, and then type sfc/scannow) (recommended)

    9. use http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html to protect your PC against spyware, adware etc and keep up-to-date then use Firefox as your browser

only use the block announcement more, no script and WOT for safer web browsing for Firefox. (Recommended)

    10. now, install your mp3player software and then connect your mp3 player to it no problem! If it did not then go in Classic view in Control Panel, choose Add new hardware and follow the instructions, if that didn't help then try the other USB port on your PC and do the same thing.

    11. If after all above failed, go into Device Manager while your mp3 player is connected and then see if the driver does not work properly or if it is there? If she's there with danger sign then try to uninstall or update the driver software or use restore option driver if they are available.

    12. If that failed then go to msconfig (type in the start menu search box, and then press enter) then prepare your computer to clean boot by disabling any departure upward the items and no windows services, and then restart your computer. See if it makes a difference? try again step 11. If it did then you know who caused the problem.

  • Install Windows 8 does not recognize the system drive

I built a new machine (chart below). Since this is a new machine and not an upgrade, I bought Win 8 Pro 64 bit OEM to do a clean install. The SSD is my system disk that Windows 8 will be installed. Four data drives are mirrored, two for the other two. Construction went perfectly. The BIOS recognizes all six disks: 1 SSD, 4 HDD, 1 DVD.

Insert and boot the disk of Windows 8. Accept the EULA, enter the product key. Arriving at the page "Where do you want to install Windows?", only four hard disks are listed. The SSD (installation to go) is not found by Win 8. ??? I tried to change ports SATA, cables, power supply - no difference. For each new change of hardware, the BIOS still sees everything. This isn't a hardware problem.

The question remains: why the installation of Windows 8 does not recognize the SSD drive. All five disks are on AHCI. I'm not in RAID.

I spoke with crucial technical support of all (manufacturer of the SSD). They were also surprised that the drive does not appear in the list.

Does anyone have a solution? I spent all the money on hardware, as well as the new version of Windows and I cannot install it.

This is the real kick in the teeth: Microsoft won't support me. The OEM of Windows 8 version is the same as manufacturers, such as Dell or HP. Support told me I had the support of the manufacturer. HA! I am the manufacturer. Either that or upgrade from an earlier version of Windows. This means that any that a new construction machine will get ZERO assumption of Microsoft. All just great.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (full version) - OEM
    Intel Core i5 - 3570K
    Card mother GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H
    Crucial Ballistix 2 x 8 GB DDR3 1600
Crucial M4 2.5 "128 GB SSD (system disk)
WD Green WD30EZRX x 4 (data readers) 3 TB drive
Rosewill Challenger-U3 ATX Mid Tower Case
    SeaSonic M12II 620W 620 Bronze PSU
    ASUS DVD writer

The DSS must be LOW LEVEL FORMATE.

Once, there may be no other [HDDs] not connected to the SATA ports.

    Install Windows 8 Pro now.

[Edit] Can someone please mark this as answered? I can't because I posted the question. Thank you.

  • SP3 of Windows XP does not recognize my Sony DCR-TRV520 video IEEE-1394 camera

Worked previously. Have already handed over in place (and updated) drivers IEEE 1394 cables checked, restarted computer, port disabled and re-enabled, etc.. Patches are up to date.

    Hello

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

    · Other devices are connected via the port IEEE-1394 have detected?

Check that the device is detected in Device Manager. Follow the steps for the same thing:

    a. click on start

    b. click Run, in the Run dialog box type devmgmt.msc

    c. in the Device Manager window, look for the device and expand the drive, double-click the sub element to check if an error message or error code is listed.

  • Qosmio F30 - 112 - Windows XP does not recognize the HARD drive

    Hello.

    I have a Qosmio F30-112.
I tried to install the Windows XP Professional instead of the Media Center edition.
However, during the execution of the installer, my laptop does not recognize the hard drive. Therefore, the installation cannot continue.

I thought it might be a problem of corruption with my laptop and reinstalled Media Center Edition successfully.
But when I try to install XP Professional it always gives me the same error.

Suggestions for the configuration of the BIOS or solutions for why this is happening?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Just a question:
You are looking for in this forum for other similar issues with regard to the installation of Win XP and lack HARD drive? I doubt

The fact is that your notebook has a SATA controller and you need a SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) driver.

You should have a look here in this doc from Toshiba:

  • Windows 7 does not recognize the installation discs

    Hello

I have a problem, and I don't know if there is a solution, but here goes.

My laptop is a HP DV6-7029WM Windows 7, 64 bit.

The hard drive was dead, and he was replaced last month.  I sent it to HP.  C is the hard drive, and was originally the recovery on D. Removable media were on E, and when I connected a USB stick or memory card reader it would on F.

When I came back, hard drive was on C as it was originally, and there was no recovery drive D. D is now my removable media drive. When I put in a USB stick or a memory card reader, which is now on the E drive.

After I bought this, I put the recovery on a USB key, but I've accidentally thrown out. (My mistake) So I ordered the installation diskettes after that I return my HP PC.  I had 2 DVD system recovery disks and an Application and a recovery DVD Drivery.

I want to reinstall Windows back to the default settings. I put disc 1 (System Recovery DVD) and close.  I reboot and it goes directly to the office. I hear the whirring disc, but nothing happens.

I go to the control panel > Recovery > advanced retrieval methods. I click on restart, and it loads files and then says DVD set, which I do. He told me that he does not recognize the installation disc.

I googled this problem and found a poster on CNET that had the same problem as I do. Also, I can't do a system restore.  My problem is the same as this poster on CNET.  I can read DVDs and CDs.  Those that work very well.

    http://forums.CNET.com/7723-19411_102-568059/Windows-7-installation-disc-not-recognized/

The files are on the DVD, because I see them.

I don't know what to do. Should I send my PC back? Can I do to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

With recovery disc 1 into the DVD drive, restart the computer and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the ESC key to display a menu of options.

Select the F9 boot menu option.

Select the DVD drive on the list of bootable devices, and press the Enter key.

Watch the screen for additional instructions.

  • Windows XP does not recognize the iPhone - device not recognized error

I am running Windows XP (SP2 I believe) and whenever I plug in my iPhone I get the error not recognized USB device. If iTunes does not recognize it and I can't sync. My guess is that I'm missing or have an updated driver, but I don't know how to install. If it makes a difference, I am using a brand new MacBook Pro and Windows XP via Parallels Desktop. I don't think it's the question, though, as I used to be able to sync with my Manager (ACT!) contacts via Outlook. It seems to be simply a function of Windows is not able to identify the iPhone via USB. A simple solution would be appreciated, but I'll take complicated if that's all that's available.

    Hello abogadopeter,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

This question has been a known issue that seems by Parallels. I did some research and read through some of the threads for workarounds. He doesn't seem to be a conclusive solution, but works to some extent.
