Windows XP forces me to allow access to my computer just to remove these non-approved programs
The computer warns me NOT to allow access to non-approved programs, BUT delete these I must allow to these "access to my computer. This makes no sense and is an obvious contradiction. Why Microsoft design stupidity into their products?
More importantly; Why would I trust I want to get rid of spyware to and that I've never actively allowed on my computer first? AND, is there a way to remove these WITHOUT "allowing access to programs on your computer?

window "Save as" does not allow access to all files
The latest version of El Capitan has changed the window to save and export preview. Instead of being able to navigate to any folder on your computer, you are now limited to a very few recent records.
How can I go back to put the file anywhere on my computer?
Click a starting point different of the sidebar or recent files:
Or type one of the shortcuts to the folder (cmd-shift-c for computer, cmd-shift-h for home, cmd-shift-d for Documents, etc.).

received a call from foreign voice asking me to let him access my computer, said that it was for my call from Microsoft. Wanted to help me with my problem.
First I called Microsoft and don't think that they work this way. Also, this same thing happens to my friend here in Idaho a couple of weeks. Is this a scam going around and if it is why didn't Microsoft addressed the issue in a public way?
Fake phone calls to technical support
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

I copied the raw images of a concert shot on a Sony HDR-SR11E (i.e., small domestic video camera) to my computer (Windows 7 64-bit) to a USB key. The files cannot be copied to another computer with Windows XP 32-bit. Is this normal? Is it possible to copy images into another format without losing too much quality so that it reproduces the old computer?
32 - bit should not make a difference in this case. The computer probably missing a codec or the necessary software to read the file. The camera format is AVCHD, not very exotic, but may be more recent than the media player on the PC. Try to install something like VLC player on it.

Windows 7 stops allowing access to the shares.
I have a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit installed. I have a computer repair shop and use this computer as a file server. I have a share of "Programs" created for other computers can connect and load updates, etc. I think I created the part successfully but a few problems. I can connect on the share via any OS such as XP, Vista, 98, etc. BUT other Windows 7 PCs are still able to connect. For some reason but all of a sudden the Windows 7 PC will stop allowing access. I can restart the PC Windows 7 and everything starts to work properly again. I can't understand this because all computers are able to independently connect BONES, then after a while, it will start to deny access to the OS legacy until a reboot. Can anyone help?
Hi danieljh,.
My first suggestion would be to update the network cards.
If that makes no difference then perform a clean boot and see if any third-party application interferes with performance on Windows 7.
To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows 7, follow these steps.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

In addition, see the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode.

How to configure the Windows XP firewall to allow access for Windows 7
I have 2 Windows 7 PCs & 1 Windows XP.
XP, I can connect & see the shared folders on the 7. However, I don't see the XP from 7 if I disable my firewall.
They are all connected to the same workgroup. I removed the 7 s residential groups (that I read that this could be a problem). I tried to turn it off simple sharing & ensuring that local settings are set to everyone, but it does not work.
I use of Avira AntiVir to my antivirus and I see all the settings within what I need to change.
The only thing that works is to disable the firewall. I don't want to leave it off, I need to understand how to configure it to allow access from other computers. I looked in exceptions and can't seem to understand. I think maybe I need to add a port, but I do not know how to select a port number and once I did, I don't know what I would have to do on the 7 to use this port.
Thanks in advance for the help!

original title: networking
I am trying to connect 2 laptops via a netgear WiFi router. When you look at the network (in windows Explorer), I see the mobile xp on windows 7) but I get a message that I don't have permission to access.
I checked the groups and even changed to be sure I was right.
Checked all the boxes of distance that I could find,
I even settle down as a user on the XP laptop.
The remote control has all the laptops listed, but I am limited to connect to a XP Home addition. Can you help me
Thanks Phil

All iOS Devices "allow access" but will be out of sync
Hello
I have a 2 Air iPad & iPhone 6s, using iTunes on Windows 10.
I always sync my devices by USB. I have not synchronized each device in a few weeks. The two iOS devices running iOS 9.3.1.
For some reason any when I plug in a device, under Windows it warns me that 'Apple iPad' (or iPhone) is plugged in (not his name), and then on my iPad/iPhone, it asks if I want to "allow access". Neither the source device list appears in iTunes and therefore cannot sync my devices.
I have synced with this installation of iTunes on this computer many times before, so I'm not sure why this is happening now.
I have deleted my iTunes twice lockdown folder and restarting computer & all my devices. Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thank you!
Ash
Problem solved. The following steps are taken:
Reinstalled the drivers:
Plug in Device iOS
Open Manager devices (search in the start menu)
Portable devices - right click on the Apple iPhone and choose Update driver software.
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support and choose the Drivers folder. Click OK.
Click next to reinstall the driver pack.
Synchronize now works as usual.
Hope this helps anyone who is going to search for.

How to allow another access to the computer through firewall
How to enable another computer game acess my fire wall
Hi Roy,
If you are using Windows Firewall, the last item in this article shows you how to open a port in the firewall to allow access: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Firewall-frequently-asked-questions.
For more information, see the following: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722062 (WS.10) .aspx.
It may be more than just the firewall. You need to allow remote access (in control panel / system / remote settings / Remote Access) and Remote Desktop (same place, but just below).
Here is an article on the remote desktop for Vista: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Remote-Desktop-Connection-frequently-asked-questions (because I do not know your operating system - you can perform a search Bing for office remotely for your operating system to find something similar).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

How to allow access to all users of the connection on my computer?
Your question is hard to understand. I interpret as:
"How to allow all the users on my computer to access some files or folders?
The answer depends somewhat on the question of whether you have XP Pro or XP Home, but a general answer is found the following article.
"How to use file sharing Simple to share files in Windows XP"
