Windows XP - How to type in Hebrew?

original title: Hebrew with US keyboard?

I'm confused. Yesterday I installed the language bar on my Win XP system. Normally, I use English and want to enter the words Hebrews and Greeks too. So when I installed the language bar, I installed also Greek and Hebrew and in the process, (I don't know exactly what I did, but I had two keyboard options in the Hebrew language, one for Hebrew and the other for the USA. So after that try out, I realized that the Hebrew keyboard has all the letters in different places in my American keyboard. When I push A I get a Shin, etc.. So I thought I would try the US keyboard for the Hebrew language, but I is more got Hebrew letters at all.

Q: first what is the good US keyboard for under the Hebrew language. And how is this different from just using English keyboard of the United States.

Q: How do it so that when I push has get an Aleph, Beit, G for Gimmel B? Which is not what one would expect with a keyboard "American" in the Hebrew language?
(And of course Tet, Tsade, and final, etc. will be a few other keys like J and X etc..)

[Solved]
I found and installed "Keyman Desktop" by Tauvaltesoft.
They have a Hebrew keyboard mapped as I want.
It gives many options for the support of language and keyboard.
-Clickable resizable on the keyboard of the screen. Can be disabled.
-Regular keyboard is remapped as selected.
-Characters of map display.
-Display of all available fonts, supporting a selected language.
-Language / keyboard download.
-Can co-exist with Microsoft Language Bar
N ' is not always stay in sinc with it (but I have not yet tried many combinations)

If you had before and he did not buy, it was probably a "OEM version" which was supplied by the manufacturer of your PC (& that you paid at the same time that your PC). You should also note that software OEM is linked to its origin PC (motherboard actually) and cannot be transferred to a new machine.

  • How to type the hash and symbols

    Hi all

Hope someone can help me here. Here is the story:

My Macbook Pro was stolen recently / 2009. I replaced it with a Macbook Pro Retina early 2015 model bought on Ebay UK.

When he arrived, I discovered that he has a U.S. keyboard, rather than a UK keyboard. In fact, I use a French AZERTY keyboard, so it makes no difference to me, I thought it would be simple just to set it on a French keyboard in system preferences, like I did with my old UK Macbook Pro model. It is indeed easy, so I bought a silicone keyboard cover so that it now looks like a QWERTY keyboard - well.

However, I can not type the symbol or the symbol of the hashtag.

I have two Apple keyboards with my iMac, a USB keypad with digital, wireless one. Both are original Apple keyboards purchased in France. Both have the to and hashtag at the top left just below the ESC key.

However, if I hit this key on the Macbook Pro I get < and >, which is in fact exactly what is shown on the cover of Silicon.

I can't just work how to type and # (I copied and pasted to add here)

I even tried to go to the System Preferences/keyboard/text tab, where omw is used as an example to write "on my way". I tried to adjust to produce aa and hh to produce #, but none of these shortcuts not work either!

I rarely need to use < or > and regularly need to use and #, so really this button to do what he does on a normal keyboard AZERTY French Apple.

Is it possible that I can do this?

If not, are there keyboard shortcuts for a US value entered French keyboard? I searched online, but none of the suggestions work.

Thanks in advance for any advice that anyone can offer.

Now, a replica of the tiny keyboard appears on the screen. Hold down the modifier (shift, option, control) keys and it will show you which can generate each key.

  • How to type letters accented with Satellite L300D?

I recently bought a Satellite L300D laptop and I need to be able to type in foreign languages.

On standard keyboards I use the Alt key as the numeric keypad to achieve, but I can't understand how this works on this laptop (holding Fn and Alt don't work not done using the alternative which is Ctrl + punctuation mark method). Can someone enlighten me as to how to type accents please?

    Thanks in advance.

As much as I know, you need to add your entry favorite languages and each of them will appear in the language bar. There you can switch between the languages selected.
I mean this is the same for Windows XP Home edition and now Vista and it has nothing to do with some certain model of laptop.

    Entering Unicode

HKCU\Control Panel\Input Method\EnableHexNumpad with the REG_SZ type to 1 and reboot (logout and login back are sufficient). Once the registry key is set, the following method to enter Unicode and reboot (logout and login back are sufficient). Once the registry key is set, the following method to enter Unicode
    code points:

Hold down the ALT key. Press the '+' on the numeric keypad. With the ALT key again, type the hexadecimal number using the keypad for the numbers 0-9 and the normal a-f keys.

Note: If these techniques don't work for your application, then you have the wrong keyboard selected (for this character as with Arabic in the older windows programs) or you have turned off The advanced text Services. If disabled these techniques will work in Wordpad, but maybe not in Notepad (depends on what exact character that you are trying to insert in this program) or going to the wrong character (depending on the technique used). Start - Control Panel - regional and language - language - Advanced Options.

Run box dialog language, then click on the tab advanced clear the check box turn off text Advanced Services and set the checkbox extend of Advanced Text Services to all programs of support.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - character map (or type charmap in Start - Run) and transfer them via the Clipboard or drag the character map into your document.

    Run the character map

    [Back to overview International]

Now the alt key and pressing the code of the character on the numeric keypad will enter this character. The language of the keyboard in use must support entering into this character. If your keyboard supports the code appears on the right side of the status bar in the table of characters on the other that this section of the status bar is empty. The status bar also empty us for well known characters with keys, as the letters from A to Z.

However, there are two ways to enter the codes. The point to remember here that the characters are the same for the first 127 codes. The difference is that if the first number you entered is a zero not. If this is the code inserts the character of the character set running on the other it will insert a character in the OEM character set. More than 255 codes enter the unicode character and are in decimal form. The seized items are converted to OEM for Dos and ANSI or Unicode, applications depending on the application of the window. See conversion between decimal and hexadecimal.

For example, Alt + 0 then 6 then 5 then release Alt enters the letter A

    [Back to overview International]

In programs based on the control of Rich Edit 3, such as Wordpad, enter the unicode hexadecimal number in the document, and then press Alt + X. This allows to convert the number you type in the unicode character. Select a character, and then press Alt + X to convert this character into its unicode number. The code is displayed on the left side of the status bar in the table of characters in the form U + , for example, U + 0061 for the letter a.

He plans a hexadecimal number by selecting the letters A to E will result and it allows to convert unicode characters (which are things like form of power and the Enter key).

    Run Wordpad

    [Back to overview International]

To convert hexadecimal into decimal start the Windows Calculator ( calc type in Start - Run or Start - All Programs - Accessories - calculator) and choose scientific from the menu display . Select Hex, enter the number and click on Dec. Decimal and hexadecimal are also on the menu display .

The first 32 characters of the ANSI and Unicode character set are not used. In the back, they are either special characters or codes of terminal control (depending on the program). In the back by pressing on the Ctrl + or Alt + can enter, issue a Terminal command (for example, Ctrl + M or Alt + 13 is identical to the enter key) command, or accept it as a terminal command (it will appear as ^ M for further processing). In some back text editors, for example Edit provided with Windows (type change in Start - Run), enter the character in the document after pressing Ctrl + P , then the Ctrl + a letter> character. Enter in Windows (for example Alt + 8) inserts the ANSI or Unicode code for this character. Several of these characters are in the Unicode character set and will be therefore works only in the recent Windows programs. See the Introduction for troubleshooting if he does not accept the character. Most of the programs require special settings.

Install the US-International keyboard. Start - Control Panel - regional and Language Options - languages - details - add. Then, check the key parameters to change keyboards or turn the language bar (advanced text Services cannot be disabled).

    Run the language dialog box

It works in two modes. Right Alt or Shift + right Alt + another key and also by pressing the keys dead (such as accents). On keyboards, the Right Alt key is called Alt Gr.

Right Alt is the same key as Ctrl + Left Alt on the US International keyboard, and on almost all keyboards except the standard US keyboards where the keys left and right are treated the same. There is a reason why Ctrl + Alt must not be used to define keyboard shortcuts. Also F12 should also not be used for hotkeys since it is reserved for the attachment of a debugger.

    Right Alt + 6 1/4
    Right Alt + 7 1/2
    Right Alt + 8 3/4

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

0x8050800c error code, how can it be overcome so that the scans can be run?

    Hi MichaelJCCR,

Are a. When you facing this problem?

    B. what tool do you use to scan your computer?

    C. recent changes made on your computer?

    I suggest these steps.

    Step 1

During a review, if the removal tool detected malicious software contained in a malware archive file, such as a .zip file. You need to determine if the file is a malware and remove it to archive manually.

    1. To determine whether the file is malicious, visit the Microsoft Malware Protection Center:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/portal/ (http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/)

    1. Search the Microsoft Malware Protection Center encyclopedia to see if the file is listed as malicious software.
    2. If the file is listed as malicious software, remove the file and perform the analysis.

    Step 2

Run a check disk on your computer.

    1. click on Start

    2. type cmd in the start search box.

    3. right click on cmd at the top and choose run as administrator.

    4. in the command prompt type the command chkdsk /r and press to enter.

Note: The disk check will try to fix bad sectors on the hard drive. If the data on the bad sectors will be lost. You can also try to run the Diagnostic tool to check your RAM memory.

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (winodws.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com
