Hello
Disconnect all external devices from the computer and try to restart the computer and check what is happening.
Step 1:
Try to boot to the desktop in safe mode and check what is happening. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic as possible cause device drivers. To start in safe mode follow the link.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222
Step 2:
If you are able to boot to the desktop in Mode safe, it means that the third-party application prevents the computer from starting in normal mode. To check you can configure the computer to clean start State and then try to boot into normal mode and check what is happening. To set up its own start-up follow the link below.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
If the problem does not continues when the computer is in the clean start State follow the steps listed to identify which application is causing the problem.
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.
Hope this information is useful.

Windows XP has entered a loop, it stops just before "loading personal settings" then restarts so far again and again.
It won't let me choose a mode which worked well, it is stuck on "Start windows normally" for 20 seconds.
Hello
Restore the system from the recovery console and check.

A XP computer over a network, recently and only recently started having problems when starting. It is very slow.
When 'apply the settings of the computer' and when "applying your personal settings" is very slow.
It is only a very recent change.
A malware scan found no no problem.
Are there any suggestions?
You won't if you follow the above canned answer.
Is that a computer joined to the domain? If so, the slowness comes from the network, DNS, domain controllers, or group policy.
You can have better luck in the technet forums.

See if the ' turn off resolves the problem. If necessary, try to turn off remote access as well (above) - If this does not work, put in the less remote access back on (you may need it if you need someone to connect to your computer for assistance - as your ISP or Microsoft Support or even a computer repair shop that works remotely).
This isn't a security feature, but a function of access to allow others on the internet to connect to your PC and you can connect other PCs (and show their desktop and work with their mouse on your computer - or they can do the same with you the authorizations if many use other 3rd party software to do this work easily and smoothly). I tried to reset my default download folder, but it just goes back in the download folder on my server to work that I won't be able to connect to the next month. When I try to select a different download folder, does not have the button "Browse". I also tried to select the option to ask me where to save every time, but nothing appears when I try to record something.
You can also double-click the preferences that I mentioned in connection: config and manually add a custom - path C:\ for example will be the root folder of your hard disk the new default download location.
and in case the settings are not saved after restarting firefox please see How to fix the preferences that will not save

Is there a way to know why your pc stops the poeople HP say this is a problem of windows 7 and can not help.
It could be that the computer is running a little on the hot side and the thermal protection has kicked. One of the down sides to get a pre-generated computer who is yo have no control over the thermal limits. Try to blow out the dust accumulated inside the computer, just him ensure that the computer is turned off and unplugged before you open the side of your computer. You might need a couple of compressed air or one of these mini vacuum computer systems that can act as a fan as well. I hope this helps.

Hello, as I said in my title, I reformatted my IDE HDD and reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3, and before that it loads, s it just shows a BSOD screen without me being able to read. Anyone know the problem?
Microsoft? Why always SP3 Gets the problem? -__-
Did disable the auto reboot not to reveal information of BSOD?
On your SkyDrive, you must click on share, change permissions and adjust the slider upward, so that we can him.
In fact, you have an XP with SP3 installation CD? It's kind of a miracle here.
Where did you buy that and when you bought it (just curious).
I'd take a peek here first:

and then here (too much info really):
If you need help, enter the XP Recovery Console, just ask.
Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive. These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load. If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS. It's the same as the
C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.
The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:
