  You should try another recovery.

  New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure.   I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro, installed all of my usual applications etc..
  The problem I've encountered is maintaining display driver crashing. Or have waiting periods. The exact error message reads;
  "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."
  Until now it expires randomly even when the computer is idle, and more frequently when I watch videos online. Also, watch a clip full screen on some sites like YouTube is ok, but on others, it is very laggy (updated maybe once per second the image) and the sound is out of sync.
  I can't find a way to properly uninstall the graphics driver.

  At least yours is working semi... I have the GTS 450 (uses the same drivers) and the mine does not at all... Stuck with the regular game pilot integrated ATM and can not all games... Microsoft told me to wait a few weeks and for the reminder and Nvida said 10 ways to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for same. Hope someone with to get a fix for this soon.

  Looks like this isn't just me.
  Just an update, that I can not confirm it as a solution, but I have not encountered any problem (a little screenlag aside) since the installation of the drivers beta. For me, the beta version of the driver is 310.33, R130. The only other change to my system updates Adobe Flash version packaged with Google Chrome to 11.4.31X to 11.4.402 to eliminate serious problems when you watch the video in full screen.

  You can absolutely close, for sure.  But, apps Store of Windows cannot do the slower computer.  Memory is marked as 'open for use' and can be erased and reused for any new process in the clock cycle (approximately a 1000th of a second), then it poses absolutely no load on the system just let them "running" forever.  Developers sometimes refer to this frozen as "tomb-stoned.  This is the reason for the new model of application development, so that the users do not have to worry about closing or opening an application.   Because you performed a System Restore you would not be able to determine which update problem from occurring. You will have to wait for the update to your computer to determine the update that caused the problem. The update does not necessarily cause the problem to occur again. However, you can view the history of updates to updating history.
   
  1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.
   
  2. click on the link to view update history.
   
  3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
   
  (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.
   
  (B) click on close when finished.
   
  As far as the question of timing is concerened, you can scan SFC on your computer and check if the problem persists.
  
  Steps to perform a scan SFC:
   
  1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow
   
  2. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  [The command sfc /scannow. analysis of all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.]
   
  A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient, because the analysis may take some time
   
  3. If all the files require that a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue
   
  4. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
   
  5. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.
