  I use Vista x 64.

  I looked this error and ran sfc/scannow in administrator mode.  It took about 15 minutes and he said that some errors have been found that cannot be fixed.  I can NOT open the log file to display errors, because when I find it and click on it, it says "access denied."

  I just upgraded my old HP Pavilion desktop for windows 7 home Prem had problems with the old graphics card and just install a new one. seem to still have problems with video performance, but I'm sure I can find compatible drivers. problem is that wmv and avi files playing very well at the start in the drive media will not play in media center. audio and photo files are fine but when I go to the library and try to play a video, it says that the files needed to play videos are missing or does not. have spent hours trying to get answers, but leads nowhere.   I really appreciate that come back you to me then quickley. It seems that I took the lead for good help. I kept exploring and stumbled upon the answer myself. Seems when I downloaded the drivers compatible w7, I have no drivers directx or direct3d right here. Once I had those installed, everything straightened and media center works as it should, all video files play much better and even much less agitated got streaming. Thanks anyway and I will seek for your help once again in the future. I share a DSL with someoneelse so until we get a router, we need to keep swapping cables so am not always online.

  Contact the manufacturer of your computer on the ways to solve this problem.

  If you want to reinstall Vista.

  1. ask thrm if you have a recovery Partition on the hard drive to take it back to the factory settings (new condition)

  You have to press F10, F11, etc. depending on the manufacturer; ask them to know the exact details.

  2. ask to send you recovery discs to do the same.

  They normally charge a small cost for this service.

  Using one of the above methods normally does not require a product key for input on your part, because these recovery methods use product key factory of the manufacturer of Installation, which is used on several machines to activate with your motherboard.

  I use FF 3.6.18 on XP, Vista and Win7. Given that FF itself upgrade 3.6.18, Miss all kinds of icons of the addon. Needless to say most of the addons cannot work unless that icon there to click. When I went to the [toolbar Customize] window to drag the icons réécrirait tool/menu/status bars, I find that ALL my icons missing addon. The FF default icons are there, but all the addon icons are missing. I've seen a lot of messages from people with the same problem as FF4 running, but it is not only a problem with version 4.   After, with great difficulty, eliminating the motor leads from my system, I tried half a dozen other things, but ultimately never gave up is fixed without wiping my hard drive clean. However, the latest update of Firefox (3.6.24) solved the problem! on all my computers! Don't know what you people at Mozilla has done, but thank you, thank you, thank you.   Just one thing: you are able to create own Tools & Utilities CD for the installation of the OS more far but obviously you forgot. When the unit is Toshiba Assist factory settings, you can start and under protection & Fix you can find the option to do this.

• How can I find which files are missing in my video so that I can burn it to a DVD? Help!

  have made a video for my friends moving away party (his tmrw night, I need this burned on a DVD as soon as POSSIBLE!) OK, everything works correctly in Windows Movie Maker, and as soon as I click "publish on a DVD" I get a box saying that it saves and will be reopened in Windows DVD maker. This isn't so. Create DVD opens, I can't open my project, not to mention burn my DVD. I get a msg saying that he cannot locate one or more of my files... Help! How to determine WHICH files are missing so I can get this company to burning? I need this burned as soon as POSSIBLE, please help me!

  Are 'all' the original files that you have included in your project
  saved on your hard drive? This is important because
  Movie Maker does not archive copies of the files... it
  just saves the path to the original location. If these
  the files are no longer available Movie Maker cannot find
  them.

• All my desktop files and library are missing in Windows 7

  Need help, I have a windows 7 Ultimate OS on an old Dell XPS of 3 years. Operating system implemented at level of Windows Vista home for more than a year. Last week, when I connected, I noticed that all my desktop files were missing. Library of the missing files (including photos, videos, music & docs). Whats funny is that none of the files are missing. However, all possible files in each folder are missing. There is no way that I could have them was deleted by mistake, can not think of a keyboard shortcut to clear all the files, but leave the files. I run avast antivirus, set to day & works perfectly well. No application installs & the only windows update I see around this event was for MS silverlight.

  I backed up all possible files using a recovery agent & the thought of doing a clean reinstall of the operating system. PS - My research on the net has returned no results for this problem. Looking for all entries before going to come & clean clean my system. THX in advance

  Here are the steps I recommend:

  1. Open the computer and open your folder C:\Users.
  2. Right-click on the folder of your user name and select Properties.  Unset as hidden, and then click OK.

     You will be asked what you want to apply the changes.  Choose JUST THE FOLDER.  Although it seems appropriate, are not select subfolders, because some things down there, including the appdata folders and as such, must be hidden.

  3. Then go inside your userfolder and select all your folders accessible by the typical user (downloads, Documents, photos, video, etc.) and disabled the option down on those.  This time, pouvez you use the option 'apply to all subfolders and files '.
  That will get you squared away back.

  I am really frustrated right now and am ready to throw HR by the window. I use HR 10 [10.0.1.292] under Windows 7 Professional with SP1 and 16 GB of RAM. There has been no major changes to my computer other than standards fixes/updates to date which are systematically pushed down for us to work. I have not installed new software.

  I worked on the same project file for the last 6-9 months and more. I have not changed directories. I have not changed the file names. I have not changed computers. My construction of the 25 September 2015 (which was our most recent product version) looked and worked perfectly.

  However, on January 8, 2016, I updated the date of our copyright made one or two other typo corrections made and then build a new one. Apparently, that's when everything goes haywire. MOST (but, curiously, not ALL) graphics in my chm file had been replaced by the symbol ' broken / lack of graphic link. Here's a sample:

  

  The really weird thing is that every graph, without exception, displayed correctly in its section related when I open the subject to change, as well as in Preview Mode! Yet when I create my project and display the final result, the graphics disappeared. And this isn't a case where all the images are missing or visible in any given topic - some graphics within any given topic are there while others are missing.

  But wait - it gets even MORE bizarre. IF I:

  • Open each topic in my project;
  • Double-click on each graph to open the dialog box Image ;
  • Click OK to close the dialog box Image (he did NO CHANGE see you ;))
  • Save the subject;
  • Close the topic;
  • Once that all the subjects have been "updated" then generate my primary Layout, all THE IMAGES ARE like MAGIC!

  I've done this TWICE. But the minute I close my project, go home for the day, open my project Sunrise the next day, make some changes more and then generate my main layout, I'm back to square one and most of my images were once more POOF! I simply cannot continue touching each chart every day! My project includes 535 topics and about 850 graphics - many are reused across so touching each of them is really out of the question.

• I have version 29.0.1 and frequently the top right three boxes (min, max, quit) are missing. How should I do?

  Since the installation of version 29, I had this problem where the three boxes are missing. It happens sometimes that I start FireFox. I can right-click in the min, max or closing of FireFox and area. I never had the problem before. I have an i7 processor and on Windows 7.

  The boxes are not visible (i.e., they show a ToolTip if you hover and work if the click in this area) or whatever should not happen at all?

  You can check for problems with preferences.

  Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
