  • After I download and install updates for windows, I have to restart my computer. But on reboot, I get a message saying "failed in windows recovery configuration" maybe not in these exact words I don't remember completely.

I clicked on the button of my windows update and downloaded and installed updates "security update for windows 7 for x 64 systems based on" and everything is fine until I have to restart my computer. When the computer reboots, I get this message that says something along the lines of rupture in the configuration, the files back or windows. Can someone please help me here? I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works.

    Hello

Can you try to start up in the Advanced Boot Options menu by pressing F8 during restart the computer? Then, select "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure." I would like to know if it works.

  • Incompatibility of questions such that I am unable to download and install several programs that need to be secured

I have a TOMTOM portablw GPS model 530/540 XXL A and unable to use it because I can't download TOMTOMHome.com suchj that it is compatible with the computer and is detected by the device.  The error is in the computer system itself; I get a message from NSSIS on the computer (Windows XP and Windows 7/Vista or that of TOMTOMhich, said "a message of archive not valid '.)  I spent almost 15 hours on the phone with TOMTOM.com trying to solve this problem - the conclusion being that this problem, it's a Microsoft or Internet computer issue and not a TOMTOM one. It's very frustrating to have a relatively new portable device that I used all THE TIME (having had for only 13 months) and NOW, being not able to use it AT ALL, and STILL LESS AFFORD to PURCHASE AGAIN ONE BECAUSE IF IT's A COMPUTER ERROR, there is no guarantee that a new device will not be subject to the same errors and problems.  I haved tried to download and install the software on 4 different computers and have even replaced USB cables.  HELP ASAP PLWASE!

    Hello

    1. What is the exact full error message?
2 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?
3A this portable TOMTOM device already worked on your computer?

Perform the steps mentioned below and check the status of the issue.

    Clean boot
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: Once you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps to reset the computer as usual.

How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

    (a) click Start and then click Run.
    (b) type msconfig and click OK.
The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.
    (c) click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    (d) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

  • is no longer to download and install updates for Windows 7

I always applied Microsoft "patches" when they were available, including items that were available in may 2016.  I have not installed new software.  I use Norton Internet Security from the beginning of the year 2016, which keep me also.

More than two weeks now, I tried to download and install the Microsoft "patches" for June 2016.  I sit down and turn with 0% downloaded until I give up.

I try to download and install the June 2016 'roll-up' (KB3161608).  After doing so, ' Check for updates ' seat and turns until I give up.

I tried the various "solutions" offered by the "community":

YES, the date and time are correct

YES and all two KB947821 KB2509997 were installed when they were offered

YES, I tried the "Workaround" (run services.msc, remove C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, etc.).

    Nothing works!

Microsoft needs to get this fixed number, as their 'Windows Lifecycle Fact Sheet' CLAIMS that they will provide "extended support" through January 14, 2020.

The question did you use the Rollup June is the same one that prevents you from installing: looking at a standstill. It is necessary to stop the search by choosing never 'Find updates' and restart. :)

  • Windows do not know if the vNIC is already there and installed

Hi Pros!... what I meet strange question... need help with the rescue.

I have a windows 2008 r2 sp1 VM server. Suddenly, the network card is marked red on it. The network card is not in the network connections folder. The driver is properly installed, it logs the IP address/DNS address, but won't save the entry door. If I run via DHCP, it will not receive any address... matter of fact, the network adapter is not present in the network and sharing Center. It seems that Windows is not able to see while the driver is in the Device Manager and properly installed...

    Did the following.

    1. remove all previous NIC devices surplus hidden registry... Failed - reboot new GUID was there...

    2. remove the network and change on a new type to vmxnet3 via Vcenter - has not worked...

    3. IPconfig/all don't show all IPs etc except the name of the computer.

    4. nothing was installed recently, except the patches, I have remove it manually, but has not worked as well

5 reset the winsock - did not work.

    O.S windows server 2008 r2 sp1

    Update the server tools.

    VSphere 5.0 updated.

It is my first time posting here, please move to correct the spot, if it isn't already... Thank you

Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Cannot download and install updates to Windows; Error: 0X8024A000.

    Separated from this thread.

I followed method 2 and everything worked until I came to the command "net stop cryptsyc." When I walked in, I got a message error 2185 of stating, "the service name is not valid." Then I tried to go as "net stop cryptsync ' think the letter n may be missing, but that didn't work either.

I now reversed everything that I had done so far by replacing the word "STOP", with the word 'START' in the orders. This allowed me to re-enable bits and wuauserv.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to the order net stop cryptsyc ?

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities. I appreciate your efforts to try to solve the problem by referring to the steps suggested by Martinez in the other thread.

command net stop cryptsvc cannot run because of the syntax error.

You type the command: net stop cryptsync

The actual command: net stop cryptsvc

I have corrected the post now, you can please go ahead and try the suggestions and update the results here.

Hope that the information provided is useful. Do not respond if you need more help.
