I have windows 7 x 64 Version 6.1.7600.16385. My windows update has only downloaded and installed a fix (KB947821 on 22/03/14. I did a sfc/scannow and everything was fine, that the settings are incorrect... Went to computer management by looking at the windows log. Event ID was found in respect of the implementation of 3. Looks like I've lost all my updates. Window update is only showing KB947821 HOT of difficulty. All my other downloading updates for the past two weeks included Microsoft Office Update that I can't see anything there all gone. I check the installed updates and 14 updates that don't settle all gone. Windows Update indicates any problem or error #. It says Windows update installed "Never". I tried the solution to the difficulty of corruption problems MSI software update registration. Help I don't know where to go from here. I ran the windows Memory Diagnostic tool, which came with no error. In the community he sent me to back registry which I do not know how to do. Can I save on my hard drive or another source. He says type reedit32.exe. I have the windows 7 registry editor wants me to save the registry key or subkey > I do not know what files to back up or export. I'm not computer savvy, but I do what I can do better. Had problems with windows update not install and now not download or install 2 MOS. So where and how can I know what updates I need after that this problem is corrected.  Thank you

If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

  • Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor does not install

Hi I posted this on the Vista forum. I got 1 response suggesting I have try to download it again, as I did with the same result. The 2nd answer said not to post this question on the forum of Vista. If she is here now on this forum.

I downloaded the UpgradeAdvisor a Windows 7 at the same time a running Windows Vista my PC Edition Home Premium and the other Windows XP. It will not install on each PC. I double click on the downloaded file and am asked in Vista to continue, I click "Yes" and then nothing happens. There is no sign of any program running or running any process that did not work until I tried to install the Advisor. Please can someone help. (I tried to disable the system security McAfee but that did not help).

Well thank you for the suggestion of Steve of Microsoft Developer Network. I tried to download another copy to another location. Unfortunately exactly the same result. Yesterday I download about 5 times in different places, none worked, but I thought I'd try again today - same result. Am I the only person having this problem?

I followed the advice on another thread closely linked to it. Someone (non-Microsoft) advised using a program called "Winrar" to unzip the file to the millisecond. You can download free Winrar (shareware). I tried and it works very well. It unpacks the MS then called "self-extracting" file downloaded from MS site above and shows you the content. I selected the provedure of installation for the Upgrade Advisor for 32 bits, and low and you installed the Upgrade Advisor on my machine.

I ran with success of the counselor and am at a complete loss to understand why Microsoft technicians could not have told me in this simple direction rather than give me useless and very lengthy procedures which did not work.

The adviser tells me that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or WIndows 7 MegaSuperCostULoads (or whatever its name). I'm not sure I want now, or if I trust Microsoft more. Maybe I'll switch to Ubuntu.

Window media player saying error not install proplerly and must be reinstalled both on the low loading page do not work 7n and 7 k how can I reinstall WMP on win 7 home premiun?

    Is - this Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit edition?

Open the Start Menu, go to all programs - Accessories , right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator . At the command prompt, type the following command:

    sfc/scannow

and press ENTER. Let it run until it ends. If it finds no problems, and if so, is he able to correct? That you still get the error then?

  • HP Photosmart C4780 & Windows 8 - impressions but do not install the software

I have a laptop Compaq CQ58 with scannor/printer/copier HP Photosmart C4780 attached via the USB port.

    The printer will print but:

In devices and printers, when the printer is highlighted, I'm told 'Status = needs troubleshooting' and 'the driver is unavailable.  It has a yellow warning triangle, signifying that it is in error.

Scannor scan, but only to an SD card, when it is connected, can be detected by the laptop.

The copier works, but I guess that's because the copy function is entirely internal.

The printer has been installed using:

-the CD - it does not work!

-l'option 'Add new printer' devices and printers, I searched the web for readers and that's how I managed to get the printer work «»

Then... the questions I have are:

    1. How can I install the printer correctly when 'normal' routes do not seem to work.

    2. How can I get the software on the laptop scannor?

I must also add that I have downloaded the following software on the HP site:

    PS_AIO_06_C4700_140_408

    HPPSdr

These do not work!  When I click to run these I get "User Account Control" screen where asked me to confirm that I want to launch the application.  When you select 'Yes', the cursor shows 'the blue twirly thing' indicating that it is something... I wait, but nothing happens.

In the end, I would like to print wireless, but it's secondary to install all the features of the printer.

I would be grateful for any help.

    Thank you

    Neil.

The Compaq CQ58 laptop came pre-installed with windows 8, the printer was not installed when I run the installation.  I think the problem is that the installation did NOT work properly on my laptop.  I get the user account control screen but when I click on 'run' nothing happens.

HOWEVER, when showing my wife what happened when running the facility started in life and the printer is properly.

Thank you for your time and effort in loking into that but I think I'm OK now.  If I bought a car that has done this it would be directly to the manufacturer... but this seems to be the norm with Microsoft and Windows 8.

  • Windows 8 Media Center will not install, get useless message error "something went wrong".

I have the version upgrade of Windows 8 Pro and can not install Media Center.

I signed up for a key that was sent to me and past the initial check whenever I try to install it.

I check the checkbox for the conditions once the key is successfully verified.

I then get the bar of green progression for the verification of updates and after about 30 seconds, I get the error message 'something went wrong '.

    Hello

This is how I solved this problem.
I have notised that a file with the name ehome. has been "created" in the windows folder.
This seems to block the creation of the eHome folder, where the Media Center should install.
Remove the ehome. file, create the eHome directory and try again to install the Media Center.
Worked for me on two different PCs.
    See you soon
