Windows XP tells me that my software may be counterfeit.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM MICROSOFT?
WAITING SINCE 5TH MARCH 2012
I HAVE XP PRO THAT I USE NOW FOR OVER A YEAR WITH REGULAR UPDATES. NOW everything to IT IT TELLS ME that I "CAN" REPEAT
"MAYBE" VICTIM SOFTWARE COUNTERFEITING. I THINK EVEN in THE GOOD OLD USA ALMOST EVERYWHERE, IT IS INNOCENT until PROVEN OTHERWISE, SO IF I ' ' maybe SOMETHING I HAVE NOT BEEN PROVEN GUILTY. IF I BUY SOMETHING IN GOOD FAITH, AND IT WORKS WELL FOR OVER A YEAR, I CAN'T BE CONVICTED OF FORGERY FOR HELP, OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BEFORE.
I CONFESS THAT I BOUGHT SECOND HAND, BUT I'M SURE YOU KNOW, EVERYBODY CAN'T AFFORD NEW HARDWARE/SOFTWARE, AND THAT MY PACKAGE WAS ALREADY RECEIVING UPDATES ETC, ONE MUST SURELY ASSUME THAT EVERYTHING IS OK?
NOW I'M STUCK WITH A PC (LAPTOP) WHICH HAS RIDICULOUS MESSAGES TELLING ME THAT I "BE GUILTY OF USE OF COUNTERFEIT SOFTWARE. TO SAY THAT I'M TOTALLY P - D OFF IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.
FOR INFO, SEE REFERENCE 1 - 9.0027.0 OF 5 MARCH AND LACK OF RESPONSE FROM YOUR PART.
THANKS FOR NOTHING, MICROSOFT RIH

The key used here is a Volume license key blocked for XP Pro-
which means that there is no way that there is a legal facility.
What version and edition of WIndows, your computer under license - according to the COA sticker on the case?
If the sticker COST says XP Pro, you can try to change the key to that on the sticker with the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/help/genuine/product-key product key update tool
If the sticker COST says something else, you will need to reformat and reinstall the original operating system - preference by using the manufacturer's recovery media.

After carefully installing Windows 7, Windows update tells me that I must install a critical update for the graphics card to Nvidia 9600 m GS on my Touchsmart, but every time I start the process, the download fails with the error code 80070005. I tried several times a day for a week now. Media Center won't play any TV, saying that the correct graphics drivers are not installed. I tried to install the drivers from the Nvidia site, but nothing helped.

How can I stop it?
Hello
I remember there are some parameters in CCleaner, you can check under application settings and do not check MS AntiMalware?
then check if your problem has been resolved, with this it's because that that your CCleaner scan of your hard drive and delete the history of the ESM log

Pop up keeps saying my software may be counterfeit.
Pop up keeps saying my software may be counterfeit. Down in the right hand against a clock saying (this copy of windows is not genuine. Windows 7 Build 7601.
When I try to check it just runs and never solves.
Hi, Ida.
To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once downloaded, run the tool.Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.Activation and Validation issues more look the same on the surface, but can have many different causes and bugs. This is why we ask a diagnostic report and it is also why we are asking that you create your own thread for your question (in other words, do not post your question in another thread).
You can also try the following command to activate Windows
Start > type CMD
Right click on CMD and select run as administrator
Type SLUI 4
Note: There is a space between SLUI and 4
Press enter
In the drop-down list, select the country in which you reside
Select the toll-free number
Follow the automated instructions. If activation fails once again, stay online and you will have an option to speak to an agent of the activation. The agent will complete activation for you manually.

Why windows security tells me that Microsoft Essentials is off when tells ME it is followed
Whenever I start the computer that Windows Security Alert tells me that Microsoft Essentials is off, but is green to me and telling me he's being followed. Alert remains on until my daily analysis runs and it turns off. I turned off the PC overnight and reopen the next day and same thing. What could be the problem?

original title: Windows activation problem.
I have windows vista 64-bit. I installed 2 or 3 years ago and wanted to reformat because I bought a few new parts. So I reformatted and reinstalled windows, but it's now, it tells me that my key is invalid for activation. Is my drive that I bought and it worked before, why now it does not work after reformatting?
How to activate Windows 7 or Vista manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
5) stay on the phone (do not select/press options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) clearly explain your problem to the support person.
(7) the person must give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper,
(8) check that the ID is correct in reading the support person.
(9) to enter the ID number, then click 'Next' to complete the activation process.---------------------------- Alternatives -------------------------------------

8.1 Windows Installer tells me that I need administrator access
I scoured the community forum for a total of 5 hours in the 24 last. I tried EVERY solution that I found and NONE OF THE HAVE WORKED!
I just ran an update of Windows 8 on my less than a laptop years because the store doesn't work anymore, I ran the 150 + required updates needed windows, I AM THE ONLY USER on this PORTABLE, the device is approved and I'm connected with my Microsoft Account.
Yet I can not update the Windows 8.1 laptop because he always tells me that I need an administrator account.
Control Panel > user watch accounts:
My name
Microsoft user account
ADMINISTRATOR
Password protected
What EXACTLY is needed for me to download and upgrade to 8.1 Windows?
Hello
At the same time uninstall Windows Update KB2871389 and then put it back solves the problem for most people who have tried.
You can uninstall it by going to programs and features and by clicking on "View installed updates" at the top to the left. You will need to scroll the list to find it. Then right-click on it to get the option uninstall.
There was much more updated since then however... It's the initial update that is required for the upgrade from 8.1 to be available in the store...

Hello
-Which antivirus program is installed on your computer?
-Did you change your computer, after which the question began?Maybe your computer is infected with the virus that prevents you from turning on the anti-virus software.
I would recommend that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.
Step 1:
Put your computer in safe mode with network, download, install and run Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if the problem is solved.
Note: You may lose data that is affected while eliminating malware.
Step 2:
Check if you can activate the anti-virus ├a the State to clean up the boot program.
Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.

Can anyone shed a light on my dilemma please?
I have a legitimate Windows XP pro (OEM version), purchased copy in good faith of Amazon.co.uk in March 2005. Everything I've done is update the motherboard on several occasions. The drive never left my possession, but which would have been, I activated XP pro 20 times! This time around (Christmas) I've updated the motherboard once more and now I was rejected validation by Microsoft.
Yesterday (December 28), I received a phone call from Microsoft (possibly in India) informing me that they refuse to validate due to the fact that I broke the rules of my license.
I was told that I GOT to upgrade to Windows 7!
Reluctantly, it seems, I have no choice I'm not familiar with any other operating system.
The only problem is now, it seems that I am not authorized to upgrade to Windows 7, I have not an operating system valid in order to allow the upgrade to run?
Is this really the case? I buy the complete package as opposed to the upgrade?
Can anyone help please?
Dave :-(
Probably motherboard changes have invalidated your xp license. An OEM license is not transferable to a new motherboard. (a new motherboard is considered a new computer)
You need a full commercial license in your situation. An upgrade license requires an activated license of qualification. -
Installation of Windows XP tells me that I need the file "igxpmp32.sys.

Hello, Tona,
Igxpmp32.sys file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers. This is the accelerated Intel graphics drivers. Try Intel.com.
