  Go to start > run > wuaucpl.cpl > disable automatic updates > apply (if the setting is changed) > OK

  To disable the horse notification that appears in the status bar on automatic updates is turned off.

  Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

  Not a valid win32 application"error when running an executable file suggests that the file is corrupted. It may have been partially downloaded for which the error is coming.
  I suggest to download the Service Pack 3 Setup program by using a different browser than the one you are using or in another computer that has the problem and try to install again by using the recently downloaded file.
  Please post back with the results so that we can help you further.

• Sometimes the clips in Windows Movie Maker will not play during preview and not at all after publication...

  Hello!  I just create a movie using Windows Movie Maker (HP Pavilion dv6000/Windows Vista Home Premium).  During the PREVIEW, the first part of the video of my film sometimes will not play (view) while the audio continues.
