  • RESOLVED - "49 error turn off then" HP LaserJet 400 M451dn

Last week, I set up not one but 2 printers HP LaserJet 400 M451dn color for a client. It was 2 because I went first to the provider think there is a fault with the printer showed a 49 error randomly, but when I got exactly the same error on the 2nd and the same printer with a different provider, I thought that this may not be the case.

What I found was - I set up the printer with a static IP address of 192.168.0.218 and excluded this address in the DHCP reservation list, so it is not assigned to another device. If I turned on the printer without the LAN cable connected the printer would say "Ready", but as soon as I connected the LAN cable, it is when that would throw a wobbly and appear "error 49 - Turn off, then on. I tried to reset the default printer without joy.

THE FIX here IS (or should I say a work around) in the following order:

    (1) remove the LAN / network printer cables.

    (2) to reset the default printer.

    (3) remove the the 192.168.0.218 of the server DHCP reservation.

    (4) delete the IP 192.168.0.218 Server lease.

    (5) connect the LAN cable to the printer.

    (6) can get a new IP address from the printer. Using the same IP address again you go back to step 1 again.

    (7) that's all.

For some reason, this printer does NOT set a static IP address and put a reserve on the server. Nuts!

I installed several HP printers that I have in the course of the years and never encountered this problem. As I mentioned above, this is more than a solution to a genuine problem...

Hope you guys find this post useful.

I had exactly the same problem with a M451dn of 400 LaserJet, except in a working group with the router making DHCP, use a static address outside DHCP for 2 days and then pool this week had error 49, noticed that when the Lan cable has been disconnected, he seems to have stopped. Printer changed to use DHCP and it works again. (updating the firmware via USB had no effect)

  • MG5300 printer only works now iMac after turning off, then turn it on again

MG5300 printer only works now iMac or Maclaptop after turning off, then return. Has worked well for a long time, when issue print from a device, the printer icon bounces and messages 'no connection' so stop printer, and then turn it on again and prints. For a few minutes. Next print, have to start all over again. Any thoughts? Thanx.

Support was terrible. Checked to make sure that files and available wireless network. I had downloaded and installed the drivers. Reset the router and it is up and running again.

Thank you Canon Support, Jason by name. Well done.

  • Photosmart 7520 error: there is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

Error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

#2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

    Solved myself.

  • Why do my Office turn off time & again in a day & then not restart until I have power off & then turn on again?

Since I changed my desktop for Windows 7 64 bit computer & extended the RAM to 4 GB from the rear 2 GB three days, I was faced this problem of windows closing over and over again in a day. It restarts several times correctly most of the time it restarts without any screen, but I can hear the Windows startup tone. Then, I need it off & then turn it on again to restart correctly, this time, it turns on the property. I have 1 GB graphics card in NVIDIA GT10 so in my office. I changed it to 64 bit because I wanted to play FIFA15 on my system, even if the game does not start also. It shows that the EA logo & the original activation error message is displayed. Does anyone have the solution for me?

I am also show you the error message that I received today once that my office had restarted:

Thanks for the help. But since I changed it with Service Pack 3 to Service Pack 1, the problem is still. I hope that the problem is resolved. But thanks a lot for your support.

  • HP Officejet j5780 turn off, then on

All of a sudden this printer did not finish the trunk upwards. Just to repeat myself "turn the power off, then on. All of the lights on the front flash also. Is he dead?

Has worked well so far. Have also endorsed two cartridges, left with unplugged power cable and then were. Same problem

    All solutions please

    Thank you

Found out that if I take the two ink cartridges, then it boots until he tells me put them down. Then it goes down.  Think it might be something to do with this area. There is a lot of excess ink and gunge all around the area of ink. Is it possible to have access to clean here. Is there a routine for this?

  • C4780 will not print. Printer error: Please turn printer off, then on

Printer: HP Photosmart C4780 Print.Scan.Copy computer: Mac

My printer was working fine and then it stopped working.  I bought about 6 months ago and use it not very often (a few pages per month).

    Problem:

When I try to print a document, the printer tells me to "Please turn printer off, then on.

Trying to solve: turning the printer off, then on.  uninstalled and reinstalled the software;  element removed print queue and tried again. checked the inside of the printer for jams or lose parts but all seems normal.

    All ideas/suggestions/solutions?

    Thank you

OK, first of all we will reset the printer.  Turn off the power, unplug the power supply from the back of the printer and the wall.  Wait a minute or two, plug it back in and turn it on.

If this does not work, reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • Windows Media Player turns on by itself

I had a problem with Windows Media Player acting on itself, forcing himself to the front as the dominant program.  This is not the case when I boot up, but rather at random, usually when I'm games.  It will automatically turn on, forces itself upward, and even when I close it, it immediately turns on again.  He dominates so much that I can't even in the start menu to shut down the computer.  Usually, I have to do Ctrl/alt/del and then stop the pc from there.  Reboot and then it will be fine.  It's totally random, sometimes not happening everyday, then happening several times.  Someone at - he heard of this or know how I can fix?  Thanks in advance for any help :)

    Hi vegaz70,

Have you been able to solve the problem by changing the multimedia keys?

You may have to the Windows Media Player application to start when a specific action is executed (fired) by using the Task Scheduler.

Delete the task (Windows Media Player to start) in the Task Scheduler. To do this, follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) click Start , and then look for Task Scheduler. Click on Task Scheduler under program.

    (b) in the Task Scheduler, click Task Scheduler Library in the left sidebar, you will see the list of scheduled tasks. Select the task and click on remove in the right sidebar.

For more information about Task Scheduler

I would like to know if the problem is resolved or you need help

  • Windows will start, the screen starts flashing and then the screen say Logging Off, then restore the screen to the CTRL ALT DEL all other functions will not work.

Start my computer, it will default to the CTRL ALT DEL screen.  After graduating in the login screen I enter the password.  Windows will start and then the screen starts flashing and the screen say Logging Off, then restore the screen to the CTRL ALT DEL I can boot into safe mode.  All other functions will not work.

    Thank you

I guess you wanted to ask how to solve the problem. If then all in Safe Mode you can use system restore to set up Windows to a point when the problem did not exist.

My computer is computer Toshiba laptop with windows 7 installed. Also I had avira as antivirus, but the two firewalls in this product and my windows firewall got disabled so I had MSE and sometimes it is disabled and I have to turn it back on. Help, please.

  • Help!  Submenu bar has a larger preview then the submenu bar itself...

Hi, my submenu bar is exposed.  http://www.iewaterkeeper.org/  It is larger, then the submenu bar itself.  Anyone know how I can do the same size as the menu bar?  Thank you.

In your css file spry menu bar - sections - make sure that ALL your widths are consistent. You have a game off of 156px while the rest has been set at 155.5px wide.

Not sure aid.5 of a px is recommended, but if you have tested with browsers, in that you need to work, and then I guess it's ok.

    Run the Troubleshooter:

  • Service error 49 - Turn Off, then on - LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw

I was the addition of another post for a different printer but didn't want to Miss anyone with MY printer problem.

UPDATE * (at least for my LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw)

I found the cause but will need help from someone at HP to "solve" this one...

My new guard M276nw throw a 49 Service error, CAT has given a lot of power, voltage on, wait, try again blah blah blah, blah blah fuser problems. 10 minutes from the forum search put me on possible wireless network issues with other printers and the SSID. Anyway after regaining a printer Staples and saw the problem coming up again on a new another brand... I tried the search Forum and Tada! at least I was able to find a cause.

I have a D - Link DIR-825 wireless router. He has dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).

Normally I enabled for the multitude of devices that people have these days in my house.

I updated the firmware to the last update (20121026) and then restarted.

Roger restarted shortly after error Service 49.

Then I disabled the two strips to test each independently wireless band.

The printer acted normally so I decided allow each band separately.

When I turn on the 2.4 GHz band in the router, the printer immediately throws an error in Service 49.

I tested several times (5 to be exact) and every time when the router restarts the printer says error.

So, I left off 2.4 GHz band and then the 5 GHz band.

I activated the band 5 GHz 3 times and turned off and found no effect on the printer (at least in a 5 minute window).

So now I'm left with only a single band wireless router or printer who likes to turn on every 20 minutes or more.

There is probably a setting (or 2) which can be changed in the router or printer that can prevent this (I hope).

I just need to find the right person in HP...

I should have updated this thread I'm sorry, but I found myself updated the same problem on another thread of printer M251nw, since someone has answered that one. I have to keep that one thread - sorry, but it seems to me that I just heard another as well, but for a m475dw as well. Maybe the same problem that I don't know.

Anyway to update my m276nw situation: After experimenting for a while try to limit I decided to eliminate the possibilities by disabling my router another suggestion of posters to remove the printer from the wireless environment and reset to factory settings. So I turned off my 2.4 GHz band in my router (leaving 5 GHz active), reset the printer and it was sitting still (no reset), he even went to sleep normally. I turned on the 2.4 band and the printer immediately threw the error repeated tent kept the same result no way to leave on the 2.4. The next day so I decided to check my router and found 2 year old firmware. It took several updates to get current and on the last I didn't reset the printer to the factory again and there's no error yet. The printer acted normally for a week, he normally sleeps and wakes. It was turned off (on purpose) a few times and everything seems normal.

I have not activated wireless again since my house is wired and I could really do without wireless capability, but eventually I want to know.

My DLink DIR-825 router is still active with both tapes, but using the latest firmware, like the new printer (the other). Is all this took?

    Perhaps.

  • "scanner 6 error, turn off then back in market"

HP LJ300 m375 says error scanner 6, turn off, and then go back' after I scan a document to my computer.

I stop (and even disconnect) and restarts and it allows me to scan once more and then the error is back and I can't scan again until I turn and turn it back on.

I don't get this error when I scan to a USB Flash drive.

How can I get rid of this error?

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I have something that might work for you.  I'm assuming you want to scan your PC using the HP scanning application.  If this is the case, the default resolution (DPI) is 200.  Try to use 300.  We are still looking, but this seems to work around the problem.

  • IdeaPad Y530 wireless wifi is turned off then on battery

I have a new Ideapad Y530 Intel 5100 wifi wireless network card. It works fine when I am connected to an electrical outlet, but when I am on battery it loses connection Wireless after about half an hour of use. When I check the network card, it shows that it is disabled. I'm trying to enable him, but she remains disabled, I can't operate unless I restart the computer. I've done so far that has not fixed it problem:

    1. I checked the power management settings in the device for the network card Manager and you have unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off the device to save power".

    2. I already uninstalled Readycomm since I had problems with it before

    3. I also affect roaming aggressiveness 1.

Can someone direct me on how to keep network to get wireless card disabled when I am on battery?

In addition, once I lose the connection Wireless because the network card is disabled, Windows Vista network settings are really slow to come for me to check my network connection and settings, never had this problem with XP. System seems to hang for several minutes before I can get into the network and sharing Center.

    Thank you.

I think I've figured this out. I disabled and then uninstalled the power management Lenovo that at first seem to solve the problem but didn't. I knew that it was something to do with power management, so I checked my settings and it was set to energy saving. When I changed to balanced remained turned on the wireless network adapter and I have not lost my network connection. I checked power options advanced for the adapter in symmetric mode and energy-saving wireless and found that Power Saver if it had set for the Maximum energy savings while only balanced if it had set for maximum Performance. The setting for maximum energy savings, it is this that kept disable the wireless card with after several minutes, I changed it to the following configuration, low energy and my without thread remains active and I don't lose my network connection. So for anyone else having problems with the loss of their wireless connection, try to check your power management settings.
