Winload.exe missing or damaged application

Windows opens with the boot manager asks me to insert the windows installation disc reads the Message on the page windows file: \windows\system32\winload.exe status: 0xc000000e Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt

PS: do not have a Setup disk

> Ps: don't have a Setup disk

That's not good.
I think that the system or recovery disk is your last resort.

    Hello

You mean that you are not able to recover the laptop using the HDD recovery procedure?
You can begin the HARD drive by pressing F8, choose fix my computer.
Then a new window should appear and you could choose a new option called Toshiba HDD recovery.

If this is not possible then I think that you don't have a choice but to reinstall the OS using a Setup (Microsoft or Toshiba) disk.
If you don t have this disc then you order on this website:

  • Windows 7 - > 8 - > 8.1 Upgrade winload.exe missing 0xc0000098 error after upgrade

    Hi all

I have a Windows 7 Enterprise system that I've successfully upgraded to Windows 8 business. Next step must now go to Enterprise 8.1. The whole idea was to avoid the re-setup and well with Windows 8.
The problem is that when I switch to Windows 8.1 it installs then boots. During the startup, it stops with an error winload.exe is missing for corruption. Code 0xc0000098. All of the keys in the same message results accept the option to boot another OS (F9 I think). It starts in Windows 8 and said he couldn't install 8.1 and that 8 has been restored. Of course, everything is back like nothing happened.
    If this can help:
The system is a Dell XPS 15 with the eSATA Intel and an SSD.
    Thank you!

    Hello Vijay,

Thanks for the reply. I do not end up understanding.

For the benefit of third parties:

Curiously, the ISO was corrupted. I say strangely because the ISO could be unpacked and burned on a DVD without errors. On a hunch, that I downloaded the ISO again, extract and it worked very well.

    Thank you

  • Damaged or missing the Adobe Application Manager

When I start PES 13 I get a message that:

"Adobe Application Manager, needed to verify your license is missing or damaged,

Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager of

    http:Adobe.com/go/ApplicationManager ".

Clicking ok starts the photo editing software and the PSE 13 seems to work ok. However, I can't successfully download updates. This problem started when I was running Windows 7.1. I have recently upgraded Windows 10, removed PSE 13, downloaded and re-installed in the environment Windows 10. The message at startup again and I still can't successful upgrades. Appreciate advice on how to fix.

The error message generated by the attempts to upgrade:

    Update Adobe Photoshop elements 13.1

There was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. Error code: U43M1D207

I have successfully solve my problems today after reading some related problems. The solution came to me when windows wouldn't let me not delete old files PSE 8 left in the Programs(x86) /Adobe. folder Windows says a file or files are used by an open application and therefore did not deletions. Therefore suggested to me that Photoshop Elements 8 can not completely completely uninstalled and was interfering with the functioning of the Applications Adobe handler.

The story of my experience is that I was running windows 7 (64-bit) and used the PSE 8. When I bought the PSE 13 I installed without removing the PSE 8 to be sure that the PSE 13 would work first. It worked but I got the errors mentioned above, that is to say, missing or damaged Applications manager not able to install updates. I uninstalled PSE 8 but which did not correct these problems. Subsequently, I've updated to Windows 10 (64-bit) and the PSE 13 questions suite.

    Today, the solution was to:

    1. uninstall all Adobe software, including Adobe Flash, Adobe reader as well as PES 10

    2. restart the computer

3 used CCleaner to remove remaining references to the Adobe programs deleted in the Windows registry. This required 3-4 passes.

    4 restart the computer

5 removed as much of the PSE 8 files in the folder Programs(x86)/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 8 that would allow Windows. It's all files with the exception of a font file Windows indicated was still used by an open application.

    6 restart the computer

7A ran the registry CCleaner cleaner again and this time there were several references to the Photoshop Elements 8 license that were deleted file. This required only one pass of CCleaner, I think.

    8 restart the computer

    9. download and install 10 PSE using the user to the administrator for Windows 10. Then downloaded and installed update 10.1 PSE.

PES 10 now works with the error messages now at startup and updates work

  • Winload.exe damaged or missing (0xc0000221)

Have been running Vista on a T61 Lenovo Think Pad for more than a year and just today (just a week after the expiration of the warranty), windows vista does not completely start.  I get the black screen with the following error:

Windows could not start. a recent change in hardware or software may be the cause. to resolve this problem:
(boot from the cd and repair windows) (actually doesn't say that, but that's what he tells you to do)
    File: /windows/system32/winload.exe
    Status: 0xc0000221
Info: the file is corupt possibaly. the header checksum does not match the checksum calculated.

I created a boot disk (since the manufacturer did not provide with the laptop) and was able to perform the repair (with no luck) and system restore (with no luck).  I can get in the quick c: through the startup disk and I ran the BIOS screen HARD drive diagnosis and it happened (so far... still underway).

The manufacturer support told me that I needed to remove or replace my HDD and reinstall Windows which I can't believe would be the solution to this...

    Help, please!

  • Vista \Windows\system32\winload.exe is missing, how can I get the Windows installation disc?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6500 Laptop, I'm trying to restore my system, but the system wants to use a Windows Setup from disk because my windows/system32/winload.exe could not be loaded"status: 0xc000000f Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged. »

The windows installation is located in the machine, and apparently the recovery has not copied as part of the recovery disk.  I tried to identify if a recvery kit was available and it seems that maybe not.  What must I do to fix this?

Have you tried to type the F11 key immediately after switching on the laptop. This should start in the hard disk partition recovery.

  • After restoring to factory setting... ntoskrnl.exe is missing or damaged

I have a problem with my Asus R500VD laptop.

My phone was at a standstill after I opened a few applications and after waiting for a while, I decided to shut it down by holding the power button for a few seconds. After that, I got a BSOD error 0xc0000221 saying ntoskrnl.exe is missing or damaged. I tried to go back to a previous system restore point, tried chkdsk /r (no error based), tried bootrec with all options (it shows 0 found windows installations), tried a full restore to factory (using the on my laptop's recovery partition), but nothing has worked. I always get the error above.

When I restart, it tries to automatically repair the system (that works, it cannot solve problems automatically) and at some point it changes recent cancellations (complete the recovery I think). I tried the different boot options, but nothing seems to work.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? It doesn't seem to be any corruption in the filesystem (chkdsk), ntoskrnl.exe is not missing...

Thanks for your help! Greaty I appreciate it! Tips are welcome!

    Hi Blueelvis,

No, unfortunately I don't have a spare HARD drive. But... I sent it back to the shop where I bought it. Should still be under warranty. I have included all our correspondence to give them an overview of what has been tried. Thanks for your help! I hope that I get a replacement or they're going to fix it. I also ran memtest86 + using The Ultimate Boot Disk and he found loads of errors--not sure whether memory is as bad or if it has something to do with the 8 GB with 64-bit processor.

    Hello

Do a clean install of XP with the XP disk provided by Dell, if you.

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/instxpclean1.htm

If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact Dell and ask them to send you a XP disc.

They should do this for a small fee.

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the order of startup and startup disk:

Vista installation was able to destroy this option of relocation:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall XP back on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

A Dell must rely on Ctrl + F11 at STARTUP to reinstall XP
