  • Patches of Toshiba Service Station closes after starting after the installation of 3

    Hello

We recently have a "patch day" Toshiba Service station. I think from my memory that the patches are released earlier, but I installed them on April 23, 2010. There are three patches, and so that I can restore from the system recovery, it was:

    -Flashing of BIOS
    -Patch HDD/SSD Alert
    -HDD Recovery patch.

So, not to mention that I had problems to make the flashing patch BIOS to run, finally extracting installation files to another location and run it with administrator rights.

My problem is that after this session of patch, my Toshiba Service Station no longer starts. When I start my system, after recording on it seems to start upward but always farm then again with windows say error report 'stopped working' and that's it. I'm not sure patch who this could be. I also believe that one of these Islands said in the description that it will update station itself? I downloaded Service Station on the Toshiba site but it will not prove at best, does not matter if I uninstall it, before you start the installation with administrator rights or not.

My system is Satellite A500, Windows 7 64 bit.

I hope you can help. Unless I can't access the updates anymore!

Note: A few days before I installed a graphic driver for my Nvidia GT 230 m SINCE THE SITE WEB of NVIDIA. Why am I? I've lived literally all HOURS a unwanted system reboot and I see in the problem report it was always because of the graphic driver. Subsequently, I installed the two patches from the site of Toshiba, the elders and the most recent, but the problem persisted. Fortunately, a few days I have recheched the Nvidia site and there was a new driver.

Although he said BEFORE (not now anymore) that this graphics card should be based on a driver manufacturer, I installed it but because he Coulnd't ' t get worse. The positive thing is that I didn't have a single far system crash even if I leave the phone turned on for hours.

I'm not sure if the problem with the gas station started right after the installation of the graphics driver, but it can't be because I installed the three patches mentioned above, through gas station, a few days later.

But he seemed to have affected the software after these patches? I'm not sure.

    Hello

Simply said; Toshiba Service Station breaks down and new installation of this tool didn't help.
    Right?

Well, because you are not sure what s wrong and depending on the assignment, you have other problems with the software, I recommend to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option!
This will outline the laptop to factory settings.

Of course, you must back up the data if you have important files.

Run recovery disc HARD and after that check how the laptop would serve!

  • IMac will not close - have reset SMC/PRAM etc - what to do next?

I have an iMac 2011 (impossible to get more info as it "attempts" to close) - El Captain fully patched.

    Here's what I did:

    Reset the SMC

    Reset the PRam

Checked and run repair disk (no problem)

don't made sure no programs or applications were open before you stop (via command pkill)

This computer shutsdown only when I press the power button.

That then should check or just dropkick the POS?

(super glad I backed up everything and moved to external hard drive)

  • Portege R700 Wont close or install W7 SP1

    Hello

I have a Portege R700 for a few months and then only a brilliant notebookI'm having some trouble that I can't find the answer to. I thought I would post the two they could possibly be interrelated.

First of all, when I am running on battery only my computer usually off. It gets to the Windows stops screen and just hangs. After all of 10 minutes, I have generally give up and manually turn off the machine by holding the power button. This is my desktop computer, it is very rarely used on battery so I have not really worried about it but I want to fix. Also when I use my machine on port replicator, at the office, when I shut down my computer what it comes up with the screen that a program is not responding and force close. I find it strange because there is no program running in time (of course there is probably a background running program).

The second problem I encounter is that I am trying to install Windows 7 SP1 via the full download of the Microsoft Web site, but when it comes to install the update I get the following error:

    ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING (0 x 80073701)

I did a search on the web for answers, but all of the patches described did not work. My only other option might be a complete reinstallation of Windows that I hated doing.

If anyone has solutions that would be great.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Why you are not allowing Windows Update to install updates to the machine? This method usually solves 90% update install problems as the update manager download only the sections of service pack required for your installation/version/version of windows 7?

How does closing? by pressing the power button or by using the windows menu Start button stop?

When on the port replicator the error message said exactly? What is the name of the program?

Sorry, on the left side of the browser there is a panel that I can't seem to close or delete. It is titled 'history' and it includes a search box and a list of visited sites. None of the typical patches were able to close the box.

    1. Go to the view menu
    2. Select the menu side
    3. Click history to remove the check mark.
    4. The history Panel must be closed.

    -What service pack is installed?
-What updates microsoft and patches are installed?
-have you checked the Web microsoft and google for this error page?

  • Latest security patch is causing my Sony Vaio to plant abruptly and not initialize.

I settled on the recommended automatic so I was not really expected a nightmare when instead of clicking the close option as usual, I pressed the power option keys which allowed the last version of Windows including the new security patch must be installed updates to Windows. When I tried to power my laptop again once he would only start for a second before turning off suddenly. He did this several times with the switch off the coast so sudden that I first thought it was a question of power, but what repair Windows came, he had a well-posed power my first thought.  The first repair attempt has not fixed the problem then the laptop restart cut again randomly during the boot. After several attempts to turn on, Windows repair came on once again, but in this case after ten minutes of "trying to fix" she came back with the result that it could not. However, I had the opportunity to do a system restore that seems fortunately to have worked. I am however faced with the problem of Windows once more want me to update my system. After what happened before, I'm not want to do. Is there a way around this so that this update and patch will install not or that can be installed without the nightmare of him causing the laptop repeatedly crash after.

    Software operating is Vista.

NOD32 or Eset Smart Security is installed? If Yes, then see - Microsoft security update for Windows 7 (KB2286198) crashes or causes a BSOD reboot
Update the virus signatures database at 5338 or later before installing the update.

If neither are installed, you run the Fixit who allows a work around for the vulnerability? If so, then run theFixit disable solution before installation KB2286198.

  • patch from 12/05/10, one of my laptops made inadmissible

Notified of patch on the laptop to closing down. Patch started with the automatic update. Has started this morning that CPU is at 100%, x red on Internet, selected network and sharing Center twice only get blank window twice may not close by alt + f4 or x or right-click on the task and select close. Tried to start Outlook 2007 still blank window can not close either. Cannot close the Task Manager. Laptop answers to stop by pressing the power button. When I restart Windows resume key power in the same place. Still hangs.

Laptop let it run hoping patch didn't introduce loop or some other condition of mutex, causing the blockage. Nothing helped still hangs.

    How can I report laptop?

    PeeMR,
Stop your PC completely (press and hold the power button until it turned off), then disconnect it and remove the battery for a minute.  Back on the power and go into the Advanced Boot options and chose the "last known good configuration" to start in.  Then post back and let us know the results.

  • CPU ankles 95-99% stuck on svchost.exe after that Windows update Nov 12 patches to not install

Automatic update of Windows was put on 'On' on the morning of November 13, 2013, when I received the notice of Microsoft system tray that updates of Windows patches were ready to be installed on my computer (XP sp3, IE8, MSE).

Updates proceeds to installation with the updated bars before the normal close.

Updates is apparently blocked at the first update. I let it run for about 15 minutes before I made a hard stop. I thought that maybe I had lost to the Internet because the update seemed stuck on the first and took too much time, it seemed.

Next start, computer slows almost stopped after a few minutes.

Guilty is svchost.exe SYSTEM alternating between 95 and 99% of my system resources. I turn it off and computer returned to normal.

Has done research on the web, stop automatic updates and processor svchost problem disappeared, unless I went to Microsoft updates and svchost.exe Web page re - would seem to consume almost all of the CPU resources while bars update Microsoft constantly scanned my system for the latest upgrades necessary.

Spending a day to try various fixes posted on the internet. A Microsoft Fixit said that he there had errors in the update and fixed all but one saying registration number was bad (said he couldn't fix that). Despite everything, still the same problem.

On the same day, an error was unable to update the definitions of virus on MSE, but for some reason, the next day (14) updated crossed.

Update: some progress: I leave svchost cogitate on the webpage update from Ms. After about 1/2 hour, the updated hotfix list showed. I tried to install it, but not updates managed to install. I am currently re - try, as suggested on the Web page.

Also tried the command "net stop" method mentioned in several places, as a tool of Malewarebytes Anti-Root running. Nothing.

Tried the fix for IE8 security as suggested, nothing.

Tried system restore, but I must have something wrongly configured with it because it was not able to restore any earlier date, I took. Bad luck.

Never had a big problem with my set-up in all the years I've been running XP sp3, until now.

Next thing I'll try is Park on the side of Windows Update for an hour or two, with the idea that maybe my processor is in need of more time to digest something.

I see that others have had this problem, but not necessarily with patch release on November 12.

UPDATE: some progress, perhaps. 1/2 hour parked page update of Windows, with SVChost churning away, and I got a list of patches. I tried to install, but all of them failed to install. I try a re - install, as suggested.

Let me propose a summary of how to fix the MSE / Windows Update problem and the svchost problem:

1st thing to do is to disable the automatic updates window. This will keep your computer against svchost.exe freeze for now.

2nd, follow the instructions in Xircal to check that you have "BITS" listed in your list of "services". Correct it if not.

3rd, IE remove it from your list of programs, and then reinstall it, making your first update of the IE rollup, as suggested previously.

That he "should" do and you can activate the automatic updates on svchost.exe should return to normal. Proceed with the update of Windows and MSE as usual.

    Original title: golfer188

When I try to load or use Acrobat Reader, I get a message that Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to close.   The problem seems to be related to the fix to windows installation I get a message asking if the patch installation is correct or who are permitted.   If I try to remove Acrobat Reader I get the same message and deletion does not continue.   If I try to download a new Acrobat Reader installation stops with a message that Acrobat Reader is already installed.   What should do?

Try this program because it is very good at removing stubborn programs.
