WinXP2 husbands freezes in a short time after he got on the computer.

My husband was my old computer, Windows XP-2 is loaded on this subject at this time.  About 4 weeks, an update automatically which sent his computer in a failure cascade drive.  I reformat the hard disk THREE TIMES since that happened. A few minutes of him onto the computer, it freezes and must be extinguished by the surge protector.  I ran all types of diagnostic programs available, I have Mcafee and two spyware. Malware progroms has running 24 hours a day on her.  (we are a home network with DSL). I read all the forums, asked in response, and I chatted online with Tech tries to solve. Basically, nothing IS REALLY WRONG!  I would like to get him a new system with Vista on it for Christmas, then someone can PLEASE help me keep his computer until there?

Hi djs755ma,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Community Forums.

Following the suggestions below would be useful to keep your computer working well.

1. I suggest you to start your computer in safe mode and perform the boot whether if any software is causing this issue.

2 safe mode is a diagnostic mode of windows that starts your computer with the required services necessary to start your computer.

3. restart your computer and press F8 key continuously when the system starts and before the windows logon screen appears.

4. you will be prompted with advanced options, select Safe mode to enter.

After that, you perform the clean boot which is a System Configuration utility to determine if a any software causes this problem.

1. Please read this article which talks about starting clean and how to perform,
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Alternatively, you can run the Chkdsk utility that checks for bad sectors on your hard drive and fix them.

1. open the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and plan the check disk for the next reboot.

Please visit the link below for more information about this,

  • universal time is not displayed on the computer of the user executable

I have setup an indicator timestamp to be bound to data from a shared Variable.  The shared Variable contains the universal time. When I build the executable and run it on my PC shows universal time indicator development correctly.  When I install the executable file on the user's PC, it displays the local time. Why?  I use LabVIEW Application Builder to build the installer.  The runtime LabVIEW VIs, subVIs, Variable shared libraries are all installed and deployed on the PC using the user Setup.  Is this a Windows problem?  I'm using LabVIEW 2011 on PC Windows XP.
