  Method 1:
  If you use the USB keyboard and mouse, and then follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the USB controllers.

  Second problem happened at the same time.  I have the same red x on my 2 computer screen in the toolbar on the bottom right. When I try to access the computer to find local internet connections, it says that it can't find.   After 3 hours on the phone with the microsoft problem solved. Seems some how using CSA and the update of microsoft it limited my computer to start all programs at startup.

  The problems begin after that I installed these updates. After restarting the computer, I can no longer use my (HP SK - 2506 U) keyboard and mouse (Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical).   I have the same problem with my Brother ADS2000 scanner and my multi MFCJ4710.  I can print with the MFC, but the Control Center detects or scanners.  They worked and suddenly stopped.  I wonder if Windows update changed something?  Scanners both work with Windows Fax and Scan, but not Brother Control Center 4.  I called support of brother and again, they have said something about TWAIN and I have to do some registry clean.  I tried their manual steps, they sent with the registry fixes and which totally screwed up on my computer.  I had to do a restore and now back to square one.

  Any solution out there?

  It was my dose,

  (1) start search box type menu "user accounts".

  (2) open and select "user account control settings."

  (3) to change the cursor to "never notify".

  (4) 'ok' to save

  (5) fact! You may need to restart you machine.

  PS: this was my fix, it was caused by software AVG anti-virus, AVG has replaced this setting and would fail to wireless for my scanner. It will be useful.

• Satellite M30-604 freezes and the fan does not work after replacing

  Satellite SM30-604. Laptop has left the mat from one day to the next and overheated! Fan won't spin and laptop start only occasionally. Thinking that the fan was fault I replaced the fan but even this new fan doesn't spin. The heat sink is totally clean - dust free inside the fins at all. The laptop is only 2 years.

  Cooling using forced (by sticking a nozzle of aspiration to the output of the cooling fan!) the laptop starts sometimes as normal until the desktop screen with all of the usual icons and no error message. But then, it does not further - the freezing of the screen, keyboard and mouse.

  Most of the time it does not start at all. When it does not start, the blue LED lights up but there is no hard disk activity or LCD at all - even the wifi LED lights even.

  Really grateful if someone knows what's going on. You are not sure if it is the main processor that is defective?

  I guess you checked if the Tablet has been properly connected to the docking keyboard.

  Have you tried to unplug and plug the docking again?
  Note: there is a latch on the left you have to move and in order to remove the tablet.

  The problem with my CD player seems to be unique I can't find an answer, or someone else with the same problem online.

  My computer is custom built, the CD player lasted me 1.5 years no problem, not until one day I realize, it does not open and the light does not work on it, I ordered a new drive and installed that one, still does not work. so, I replaced the SATA cable which connects to the motherboard, still does not.

  When I go to my computer the drive appears but when I right click > eject it says: "year error occurred while ejecting CD drive D".  It also appears in devices such as SCSI CdRom Device Manager but I am not sure if it's actually my CD player.

  There are two cables you need to connect to the drive, one for data and one for power.  You must connect both training at work.  If you only have the data cable is plugged and not cable power which would be a possible cause of the problem that you see.
