  I bought a new Satellite R630 - 13U Code: PT31LE-00V006CE two weeks ago. Problem is that I am not able to connect to any wireless network (or open or encrypted with WPA or WEP).

  In my laptop I got it with Windows 7 installed. I am able to see the icon for wireless next to the clock in the bottom right of the screen, as I am able of netwoks that detects the pc and see select it in the list. Then once I have selected the network he asks me the password, and if I have entered a wrong password, I get the error of law.

  Problem comes when I introduce the correct password... then after a few minutes where I can see the screen of "process"bar that I get an error message that just said ' not being able to connect to the "network name"

  As I said I tried with several open networks or security, with two levels of security (WPA or WEP). I tried with different networks, with different routers and in different places... but never had a laptop computer with this new wifi connection.

  I tried to uninstall the Broadcom card and reinstalling by downloading the driver from the official site of toshiba, also I've installed the latest version of the "value package"... but still does not work.

  I have other friends with HP, o DELL who use Windows 7, which are able to connect to networks that I'm not, and no problem...

We have a couple dozen portable scanners running Windows CE with Cisco 350 radio stations and the ACU 1200 series with the newest IOS WAP connection. When checking to see if an upgrade of the firmware or the utility would allow me to support WPA - PSK, I found this post:

  You have not mentioned you version of EC or ACU, ACU version 2.60 with the corresponding picture for map 350 or later support WPA either directly or with the aupplicant of windows. You must contact the manufacturer of the scanner for the new code if available for you the models.

  First of all: your machine is able to handle a maximum capacity of 4 GB RAM, but please be aware that you won´t be able to use all of the 4 GB due to some limitations of the chipset that are explained in the following article: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB82022E0000R01.htm

  Regarding the speed of module: chipset specifications are defined for PC5300, so it will not improve your speed when you install faster modules.

  If you want to upgrade your hard drive then do as you like, because it shouldn´t be any restrictions, you can install a drive with 7200 RPM with a slower.

  The only difference will be that the faster drive faster. The performance of the entire system would increase only when you´re install your operating system on the disk more fast (which is the recommendation of my side :))
