Wireless connection lost in mode 'sleep'

I noticed recently that my Electrify will lose its data and connection Wifi when it is in "standby" quite a long time. I sleep forever set policy and it will show again only 4 bars of cell tower and that's all. After he wake up from his sleep and giving it some time, it will reconnect either 3g or wireless. What I have set wrong it will not keep a connection mode 'sleep'?

  • Wireless connection lost after update

Last night I downloaded and installed the February Patch Tuesday updates from Microsoft on my WinXP netbook. When I rebooted the computer, wouldn't my wireless connection. My other computer of Windows XP (not yet updated) worked very well. I did a restore of the system on the netbook for just before the updates, and now my Internet is back. No idea of what happened and what I should do next? I would like to install the security updates... Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion, Halima. I don't even think to look here so far, as I never received an email informing me that I had a response. What I ended up doing after the restoration of the system is to reinstall two updates at once. And this time everything went well. I still have no idea why I lost my wireless connection, first.

  • Problem getting my WiFi connection after the mode 'sleep'

After my computer wakes from sleep mode, I click on my WiFi network every time to get on the internet.  If I restart my computer, it detects my WiFi network and connects ok.  It's just at the time when it wakes from sleep.  I tried many solutions that people have posted for example to remove some files from my SystemConfig., but have had no luck.

    Hi joycefromil,

I understand that your Mac has problems automatically re-login to a Wi - Fi saved after wake up from its sleep. I can understand the concern here; It seems that it would be a bit tedious to have to re - connect manually whenever you wake your Mac from sleep. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

As a first step, try to remove your Wi - Fi network in the preferred networks list and then add again using the steps here:

macOS Sierra: choose the preferred Wi - Fi networks

Try to test for the problem to see if it persists. If so, I recommend that you try to start your Mac in safe mode and test for the issue. Once you're done test in safe mode, restart your machine normally and try test again to see if the problem has been resolved.

If the problem persists in safe mode, try to create a test on your Mac user account to see if the problem is here. This will help to further isolate the issue. Take a look at this Web site for more information:

  • Wireless connection lost after only five minutes

    Hello

New on site, but you have a very annoying problem, here go us
I just got a 2nd hand laptop Toshiba Satellite S1800-402 and has decided to add this to my setup wireless at home (big mistake), anyway I have a router wireless 802. 11 b of mentor and my main pc connected to the router and another pc which has a mentor 802 wireless pci card. 11B. Pcmcia card from the laptop is a mentor 802.11 g card is compatiable back, so I was told by bloke in-store pc.

Just the problem I have is the pc successfully connect to internet the laptop will be fine OK, but 99% of the time I would say 5 minutes max before losing the connection and only way to get the rear connection is either reboot the laptop, or remove the pcmcia card and hope that it detects the wireless again. the wireless network is not secure on it and checked on the router page and there is no filtering or configure... I have Digital wireless home phones that I unplugged and get always the same problem.

Would be - what this model has received a wireless card already and there is a conflict.

It becomes a default really annoying that I head in fact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated no matter what other requried info I will try to help

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As much as I know this model doesn't have a WiFi card and this kind of conflict is not possible. In my opinion connection breaks are caused by software settings or false. If you make a permanent download happens the same thing?

Try to check the power consumption of your network card WIRELESS and also Idle timeout option in the router.

  • Why my wifi doesn't connect after the mode 'sleep'?

When I close the lid on my laptop and open it again my wifi does not connect unless I reboot. I have recently installed windows 8 and that's when the problem ensued. My laptop is a hp envy 15-3247nr with all windows 8 drivers installed and updated including the BIOS. It's okay I'm trying, my wifi option remains grayed out even to disable airplane mode. The f12 key stays orange and does not come on until I restart my laptop in a couple times. Help, please.

(all drivers are up-to-date and in working order and Yes, the power of the network adapter settings have been changed to not save energy)

Yes, I tried the utility intel to uptate pilot and he was one of the network drivers and windows 8 but when I tried to install it, an error message would come to saying that I had so he couldn't install the supported operating system.

And Yes, I went into the bios and set all my settings to the default values and after that point it began to work.

what I specifically made back my driver of network to an earlier version, and then I went into my bios and changed my setting of network adapter the opposite of what they were (activated or deactivated the opposite), restarted my computer (does not solve my computer), so then I went back into the bios and reset all settings to the default values, and after this point is at the beginning of my wifi to connect without having to restart my computer and so far so good.

  • E4200v2 removes the wireless connection

    Hi all

I recently installed the e4200 to go with my new internet (BT Infinity 80 d 20u).

I have not changed no matter what it is, apart from the SSID name so I can choose which device has access of the band 2.4 or 5 ghz.

I encountered a problem with the wireless and it abandons the connection randomly. I must then activate and disable the adapter on my laptop wireless to connect again.

    What I've tried so far

TV - a number fixed rather than automatic

Network - N-only mode and back again on Auto

Width of the channel - 20 mhz only

I have read reports of allot of people having this issue however the majority of the questions were for more than one year (2011). Am I to assume that this problem has been resolved with a firmware update somewhere that I missed? My current firmware is

    2.1.38.138880 is the most up-to-date?

Any help will be most appreciated.

Looks like you are using the Cisco Connect cloud firmware... Yes, this is the last!

you experience this problem on a single PC? If so, isolate by connecting another device to the network wireless and check if it interrupts the connection as well.

your current settings can be adjusted to optimize wireless connectivity. use MIXED mode network and 20 MHz for the width of the channel. to check which channel has the least interference, see inSSIDer. This tool will be mapped to the current network environment in your region, showing you which channel is used mostly to help put you your network to a less crowded channel.

  • All-in-one Officejet 4620 HP loses connection wireless network when it starts in mode 'sleep'

My printer HP 4620 all-in-one wireless works fine until it enters mode "Eve".  Once it goes into sleep mode, it is not wake up if a print job is sent to it.  If I wake up it manually by pressing the power button flashing, she does still not print.  If I've completely put off and then on again, the print job that has been put on hold on my computer will start printing, but it's a huge pain and loss of time almost everytime I want to print.  I installed all available updates.  I also assigned a static IP address in an effort to correct this, but nothing helped.  I see that others have complained about this problem, but I see not that anyone has had success resolving this.  My operating system is Windows Vista.  I use a Sys-Link Wireless G Router.  Thank you.

Ok.  My printer worked flawlessly for a few days, and I think I can declare the problem solved.  I think the problem started when I applied a HP recommended workaround for a different problem, that is, HPNetworkCommunicator.exe kept running and goes out 10-15 seconds, with the cursor displays activities whenever the program is running.  When I reversed this workaround solution, solve the problem wireless (but of course, I had once more the annoying problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe).  I then discovered that HP had published a software release that fixes the problem with HPNetworkCommunicator.exe.  I installed the new version of the software.  HPNetworkCommunicator.exe is now fixed, and my wireless connection remains stable even when the printer goes to sleep.

    2. a problem with your modem router or broadband network (suggest I unplug everything and then back on after 10 sec.) I did it.

3 reset the network connection local network adapter. I did this and log back, it does not solve the problem.

    Hi Twindaddio,

    A. are you using a cable or a wireless connection?

    B. when it last work very well?

    C. What is the exact error message?

Try this step in the meantime.

    1. click on Start.

2 type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press on enter.

    3. click right network adapter and click Properties.

4 Select the power management tab, and uncheck the option to save energy.

    Hey Buddy,

And now Windows recognize some WIFI networks at your fingertips? Your validation lost wireless connection isn't very useful

You should try a WLAN driver update that you can download from the official page of Toshiba:

If you can't find or connect to WLAN networks deactivate in the Windows of the WLAN power save mode power profiles. You will need to set for maximum performance.

    Hi Ron,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. you receive messages or error codes?

You can read the following article and check.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

If you use Windows XP, then read the following article:

How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2

This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

    (b) in Device Manager, expand network adapter.

    c. now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.

    d. go to the power management tab.

    e. ensure that all check boxes are unchecked (check boxallow the computer to turn off this device to save power is off).

    f. If you have disabled the boxes, click ok and restart your system. Put the computer in Hibernate mode and check if you still have any questions.

  • Windows 8 I lose the internet connection after waking from sleep mode

My wife has a new laptop from Toshiba with Windows 8. When he wakes from sleep mode, it detects all wireless signals. If it restarts the computer, it detects our own wireless, as well as all the neighbors signal. Is there a simple way to correct this trend? She dislikes having to reboot the computer whenever she wants to use it.

Very interesting what's happening on a new machine. Are you sure the original wireless network card driver has not been updated (i.e. through Windows Update or its equivalent at Toshiba?)

I guess that the wireless network card driver doesn't handle well "message sent" by the system when it changes the power state change leading to a 'dormant' device (in this case the WiFi network) on the revival of the fashion Watch (same problem with the Hibernate?).

Not knowing your model Toshiba, or wireless network card let me suggest you try the following if options exist for 1 # *:

    1. Go to the section of the network adapters and Device Manager. Right-click your wireless card, and select Properties. Go to the power management tab, uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device and check allow this device to wake the computer , and then save your changes
    2. Go to the control panel and Power Options to change the parameters of the plan (for the selected power Plan), and then select change advanced power settings / wireless adapter / power save Mode / connected and select value is A maximum Performance otherwise affect this value

    * Not sure about my translation of terms/options used above - I am not in an American version

If the above does not help I'd you make investigations with Toshiba on this issue as the owner of a new machine, you're probably eligible for a level of support.

+ Feel free to bring your network card and Toshiba models - this helps in search of possible measures and troubleshooting. And it could help other people if solve you the problem sooner or later...

    Hope this helps

    See you soon
