Wireless disabled during startup

Hey everyone, I have a laptop ASUS G71gx with Windows Vista 64-bit.

About two days ago, I noticed when starting up my wireless wouldn't connect automatically. I hit diagnose and repair, and he said that I had no wireless connectivity. I tried reversing the wireless switch and turn off many times without success. When I would turn power on, and off the blue LED light is OFF. In addition, every time I turn it on and goes off, he says on-screen that the wireless LAN card has been OFF (even if the switch is turned on).

Then I restarted the windows several times Explorer bar but also press the switch again. This time, the blue light. However, the internet was still arrested. I hit diagnose and fix again and he says the same thing as indicated previously. He gave me the option to repair it by turning on wireless compatibility, then I hit that. After that he turned on and I could he use it without problem.

Never used to do this before and it's incredibly annoying. I recently made a few updates to Windows, but I'm not sure of what those who were exactly (as they occurred when I stopped).

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hello.

(1) my security software is the free version of avast! Antivirus software. So far, no problems are a consequence of it.
(2) Windows recently did some updates when I stopped it, so I think it might be from that. Other that that, I made no change manually.
(3) my router change because with us, we are working on a Verizon model, but at school, I run with everything that was my college. So not too sure on this one.

I tried method 2 and it was set to automatic, so nothing needed to be changed. I did a system restore and that seemed to do the trick. If the problem comes back, I will try Method 1 and 2 once again.

Thank you for your quick response!

  • Vista system stops during startup and asks to press F1 to continue

I am running Vista32bit Home premium... I was wondering if there was a way to prevent the computer from stop when starting.  My computer stops after the diagnosis of the screen and asks me to press F1 to continue (boots in windows) or delete to enter setup (bios setup menus).  After hitting the F1 computer boots to windows.  He always did until last week when I had my computer repaired (repairs failed).  After the repair, the computer should boot directly into windows all the time which was nice.  But, I had to reinstall Vista and is again present during startup.  I would like to boot directly into windows constantly... there at - it somewhere that this will enable a setting? Thank you! Mike

  • Photoshop crashes completely PC during startup

I am a creative Cloud customer and install products through the user interface of the cloud create. I had this problem with CC 2014, but only if I accidentally started the 32-bit version - front, there was a 32-bit version and 64-bit products. When I decided to install CC 2015, I first removed the old versions. After installation, I found he was no longer a 32 bit version and 64-bit on the start menu, just a single program to start, that exposes the problem:

The splash screens and 1-2 seconds, then the PC completely locks up. You cannot not even move the mouse. I have to recycle the PC. I'm on Windows 10 now, but the problem exists as well the week last Windows 8.1.

I reinstalled CC 2014 in the hope that I could always use the 64-bit version of work - however after re-installation, she had no more versions 32 and 64 bit separate. Instead he had only the simple option and now, it also presents the question.

Apart from that, the PC is stable. I run several IDEs and games on the PC without any problem.

If please notify and let me know what other information I can provide to help.

I had the problem backwards: locked 64 - bit and 32-bit correctly initialized.

However, the solution was found in the other thread:

PXE - E61 Media Test failed
    MOF: Left PXE ROM

Can any help with this problem

    Concerning

    Hello

Hmm you ve you have a problem with the Vista boot! :|

Usually, this message appears because the BIOS can not find a source of start-up as ODD or HARD drive and then try to boot from LAN.

Perhaps the BIOS can not find HARD drive due to a hardware problem.

Hmmm. First of all, you should try to change the boot order in the BIOS. Put the HARD drive as first boot device.
Save the settings and try to restart the laptop. If it is not possible to start the Windows Vista I guess that HARD drive is dead!

Have you tried to reinstall Windows Vista using the Toshiba Recovery CD? Check this box!

If all this procedures don't help I recommend you contact the ASP in your country.
The technician must check the laptop and if necessary, it should replace the HARD drive.
Your warranty is valid so that everything should be done for free.

    Good luck

  • Mini Mac restarts during startup until

I have a Mac mini from 2012 which restarts to halfway through to boot the system. Reboot started while the mini was in mode 'sleep' and required a good force to stop. Now, the mini will begin to start but when the progress bar is half filled the screen goes blank for about 15-20 seconds, then goes black for a few seconds and then the mini attempts a reboot.

I unplugged the power cord, but that did not help. I have also tried to keep the order and had "keys during startup but nothing doesn't change.

  • Hi, what are all the ongoing processes in the operating system during startup itself?

    Hello

I want to know, what are all the ongoing processes within an operating system during startup/boot.
Why system processes are always on.
    explain on the windows registry.

    In the order:

Google each a wisht learn you more.

Certain system processes are required for the various aspects of the machine - there are a lot of things to allow you to move the mpouse pointer and click on this shortcut and start the process related to it...

You need to know about the registry of windows at this time - in view of two other queries.  It's just an honest observation.

  • How can I get around having to sign into my account (Windows Vista 7) during startup as I forgat my password?

How can I get around having to sign into my account (Windows Vista 7) during startup as I forgat my password?

    Hello Bob Zientak,.

If a password is required to log on your system, then you won't be able to cirumvent it. Unfortunately the users of this forum are also not allowed to suggest ways to help you bypass (hack) the password (3668Microsoft Terms and Conditions).

Remember passwords are case sensitive so maybe that you type a password in the case of bad? Did you create a password recovery disk when you created your password first? If Yes, then you must insert the password recovery disk to allow you to change the current password. If you did not create a password recovery disk then the next and more radical, opion is to re - install Windows.

How do I solve this problem

    Hello

Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

You can try the steps and check if you are able to see the background on the logon screen.
    a. Click Start, and then type gpedit.msc
    b. navigate to Computer Configuration and go to administrative templates and go to System.
    c. go to connection and set the "bottom always use custom logon" to activate.
    d. create a folder named C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds
    e. put the file you want, and then name it backgroundDefault.jpg
    f. check your other background for the dimensioning of the info files
