Wireless-g pci adapter model no wmp54g

Is it possible that I can get this card see WPA2 in the properties so that I can align my other wireless devices?

It's OK now, I found a "Hot Fix" on the Web site of Microsoft and that solved the problem and I can now use WPA2. Thanks for your interest.

  • Wmp54g - Wireless-G PCI Adapter - Local access only - why?

Management of Linksys, I replaced one of the adapters Wireless USB model with this model (WMP54G - Wireless-G PCI Adapter).  While the USB model has been able to get on the internet, but by dint of low signal at slow speed resulting - this unit has a sound intense but failed to get on the internet.  (Well, actually I managed to make it work once or twice but it still does not work.)

    I am running Vista.

I get a green line of my local network computer in network and sharing Center, then a black line with a RED X between my local network and internet.

I'm unable to access Web sites on the internet.

I was on the phone with LinkSys support for hours.  They were not able to make the situation better.  Anyone has any ideas, what happens?

It seems that we have found the solution to this problem.

The engineer last I talked to Linksys suspects that the problem had to do with the Linksys and Vista software both trying to control the device.

(As a side how many times have you had to happen?)  If you're like me this is not the first - one might think, the manufacturers and Microsoft could get this sorted out once and for all and have a duration of commitment for their respective products).

Unfortunately, the steps to follow recommended action was to open the programs installed on the computer, look for the Linksys program via the control panel and remove it.

Then restart the machine.  After startup, the machine, reports that it has detected a hardware without a driver.

Insert the CD into the drive and have Vista, find the driver and install it.

She does without having to install the full program of Linksys.

It has now worked two days and seems to have solved the problem.

He too far too many calls (8) including 50% of them being stripped of Linksys to get to this answer and several days, but unfortunately we seem to have solved.

  • Problem with Wireless G PCI adapter (WMP54GS-RM) and Windows 2000

I'm having problems to install the above wireless adapter in a desktop computer HP EVO D510 running Windows 2000 Pro.

As stated, I launched the installer using the supplied CD and reached the point where the PC asks permission to stop so that the adapter can be inserted into the PCI slot. I grant permission, and after stops in the PC, I install the card. When the PC restarts, the installation software does not reopen. This is reflected by the unit Mgr reports that I have a working driver, but I don't have an Internet connection. I discovered looking at the Bishop of events that the service that accompanies this adapter is unable to start.  When I manually try to start, told me that Windows 'failed to start WMP54GSSVC service on Local computer. Error 127. The specified procedure could not be found. "I suspect that this occurs because the installation program does not end after the reboot, but do not know that for some.

I would add that I downloaded the latest driver and it seems to be identical to what I have on CD. For the heck of it, I uninstalled the software I loaded from the CD and used the software on the web only to get the same result.

I'm close to throwing in the towel. I have ideas that could prevent me from giving up.

    Ron

Windows 2000 has all updates including Service Pack 4. The adapter was properly seeded.

The problem turns out to be not not one but two things.

Outpost Firewall is configured to allow the launch software correctly, but even with this, the executable associated with the system tray Monitor would not and still will not work as a service Windows in W2K. He didn't even start a service manually without triggering the error message (see my first post). I discovered, however, that the executable will run - not as a service but normally - if run during startup.  After experimenting with launch from a batch file added to my startup folder, I finally decided to use WinPatrol to launch the program as the latest app loaded during startup.  He loads evenly using of workaround and gets me to the internet.

3.6 then in the new manufacturer list, choose "Ralink Technology, Inc."

  • WMP600n wireless PCi adapter do not reconnect after sleep

I have a Linksys WMP600n PCi adapter installed in my desktop PC wireless and after recovering from the night before, he doesn't do not automatically reconnect.  I have you right click on the wireless icon in the system tray, then select "repair".  I would say this, it is 9 times out of 10 (1 times in 10 seems to me good luck and it restores the connection).

I have a motherboard Asus M4A88TD-M with 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and I'm under Windows XP Home Edition (SP3).  There is only one PCi slot on the motherboard.  In addition, I do not use the software provided with the product, but rather the native wireless networks wireless network software application supplied with Windows XP.  I had this problem with the original driver that comes with the product CD and the problem persists with the latest version of the driver.  I have no active set into hibernation and there is no power active modes of economy on the PC.

I have considered all options in the properties/Advanced tab Wireless 600n and the awake mode the continuously and disabled the power saving Mode, but the problem persists.

I have two other PCs with older PCi Linksys WMP300n cards and they don't exhibit this behavior after recovering from the previous day - they reconnect with reliability.

Anyone else have this problem with WMP600n PCi cards?  All solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

I found the problem.  There was a program called "Hot Spot Shield' on the PC that installed a virtual connection of the Miniport network ("Anchorfree HSS adapter") along the side of the hardware (PCI) wireless network connection.  The operating system seemed unable to load any network connection during the restoration of the day before due to the presence of these two active connections.  The solution was simply uninstall and remove the Hot Spot Shield software.

  • Belkin N Wireless USB Adapter model # F5D8053 problems

I have a Belkin N Wireless USB Adapter model # F5D8053 which works fine in XP. Windows 7 installed and the drivers install fine (latest version of the drivers on their site) but after a while, the connection drops and the icon near the clock says no connection.

It is likely there is no wireless driver, but the drivers of the USB chipset at fault. You could try Vista Compatiility mode for those.

  • Card wireless Mini PCI for Satellite Pro has 10

Someone at - it successfully installed the Toshiba PA3300U-1MPC or any other in Satellite Pro A10 (model PSA15E-01PJY) wireless Mini PCI card? This model already has the internal antenna, the switch and the LED
    mounted.

On the site of Toshiba UK accessories compatibility table indicates that the wireless adapter is compatible with the Satellite Pro A10 series. When I called the helpline (0870 444 89440) Toshiba, we said that this wireless card was not compatible with my laptop and have been unable to provide any internal wireless card that was.

    Thanks for any help

    John Storey

    Hello

@ drewlfths: I m not 100% sure where the wireless network card is placed on Satellite Pro M10.
But in my opinion it s under the keyboard. I think the best way is to contact Toshiba service in your country for details.

By the way: the Satellite Pro M10 supports only the standard Wi - Fi: 802. 11B. In this case I n t think you will be able to use a super G standard.

In your case, I prefer to use an external solution such as a Wlan USB key.

  • Startup gets "Network cable unplugged" on (new) wireless mini-PCI card

Repost in the previous topic was locked, but has not been resolved. Original post below, please see previous post for more details

I recently installed a Netgear DG834GT wireless router and now have intermittent problems connecting my Tecra 9100. If the 9100 has been off for awhile (like overnight), when I restart I get always "Network cable unplugged" for the wireless connection. Reboot several times (anything from 3 upwards) I finally get connected to the router and everything then works fine for hours. Even a quick restart at this point (that is, once that the wireless adapter is connected) does not cause a problem, but as soon as I leave the stop of the machine during a time he fails again on restart.

There are no errors in the event log.

I am using wireless mini-PCI cards and have already updated to the latest version of the driver.

Any ideas gratefully received, for now every morning is a 20 to 30 minutes of rebooting frustration trying to get my connection work.

    (Running Win2K professional)

    Hello

I have the same problem if I stand for laptop and access point at the same time. If the access point is already in use, the connection is established shortly after. First the access point must establish a connection to the modem. Now the wireless connection is not available.

I guess after the second reboot, the connection between the AP and the modem is already finished and you can use the network wireless successfully.

    Good bye

The next card with my L500 works?

    TP-Link TL-WN861N N Mini-PCI-adapter WLAN

    Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 Wi - Fi and Bluetooth-adapter with dual stream (2 x 2), double band (2.4 / 5 GHz)

    Thanks for any help

According to specification for laptop, your laptop computer has Realtek RTL8191SE minimap 802.11bgn and using the n standard, you should be able to achieve data transfer very good speed and I don t think that replacing a WLAN card is necessary.

Have you checked all the WLAN settings and tested the WLAN functionality with your new FritzBox 7390?

  • Problem with wireless B USB adapter unable to connect to wireless G router.

Hi, I had a LInksys Wireless - B 802 adapter. 11B with a computer Win XP and Win 7 Wireless-G Notebook, both to connect to a Linksys Wireless-G Router WRT54G2.

The Win 7 Wireless - G Notebook no problem to establish the connection to the router. My 802-11b can detect the network Win XP, but cannot establish a connection witht the router. He always acquires IP and then drop out. I re - install the driver and it still the same.

Originally, I had the WPA-2 personal habit, the 802. 11 b cannot acquire the same IP but you can see the USSID. After that I switched to WPA-Personal, the 802. 11 b try to acquire intellectual property, but fail to connect.

Pls help. Thank you very much

If the model number of B-adapter linksys WUSB11 then WPA security does not work as the WUSB11 support only WEP.

  • Wireless G USB adapter

OK, I'll do my best to explain what I'm trying to do, so that is:

I left my PC the original location in the living room where the internet has been implemented in my room where it is not set. I got a very long cable and it's that winds through my kitchen in the House of separator in the living room (I live in a basement suite). Now, I don't want to have to call the cable/internet company to come hang internet access in the room, I would use the wireless G USB adapter I bought.

Now, I would like to keep my router in the living room and not have a cable that runs through my house, but Wireless G USB adapter will allow me to do? I manage the router to the router itself, the IP address, so I need to add the MAC address of my PC to the list of allowed devices and wireless adapter should work?

I hope this makes sense and I hope someone can tell me if I have the right idea or not before I have to move things around .

    Thank you!!!

You should have no problems with this set up. My neighbor the w/speed of usb wireless adapter boost to his desktop computer to connect to my router and had 2-3 bars of signal strength. And I also had a friend who lived in the street w/wireless usb adapter connected to his laptop, his NIC was not working and was able to connect with my router.

If I were you I would configure the router and adapter usb first before picking up the ethernet cable. Just make sure that you disable your LAN device in network settings for the network for Vista or XP, and the wireless device is detected and enabled and working properly. Good luck and hope this helps.
