Wireless HP p7 1297cb issue: hp p7 1297cb wireless issue

Just curious > is it possible to install a card or something hard, wireless keyboard, and a mouse to this pavilion P7-1297cb?

I bought this pc on a whim and checking the specs and overlooked the i/o ports for keyboard and mouse connections.

No problem with the pc, just curious about a change to wire hard and do not change the mobo.

Any idea would be appreciated. Thank you

AudioGrabber also.

I have several tabs typically run at a time, 4 to 6... that is to say.

Just curious, is this USB keyboard and mouse will be wireless? or as hard wire?  No, there are wired models.

Here is the Cable keyboard / mouse on Newegg.  One of them will do what you need.  You don't have to spend a lot of money.

    Hello

I received a Satellite - S70t 31/10 and then had some problems wireless. From the start up my computer and began its activities on the internet, I suddenly noticed the sudden slow but also many problems such as the loss of packets and ping (which I had never experienced before) high.

After some tests, I came to the conclusion that it is either something wrong with the wireless adapter, or on the other hand is not compatible with my router. I had questions everytime I open the laptop and connect to the internet, where my reasoning.

I've updated the drivers for the wireless adapter, but it did not help.
    I am running a router Netcomm NB9wmaxxn.

I hope that it will be able to be resolved quickly.
    Thank you.

In my opinion you issue needs further investigation.
It isn't quite clear, if the Wlan problem is related to the network card wireless Wlan driver, Wlan router or maybe the combination of the Wlan router and module Wlan.

In my opinion, you should check if the same thing happens to connect the phone to another access point.
You should check the laptop with or without the power adapter connected.
Energy savings can affect the performance of Wlan.

You should check if the problem could be related to the intensity of the signal.
You should test the connection network wifi secure Wla also open Wifi (unsecured).

    Check also different standards of WLan 802.11 A B G N
Of course, this test depends on the Wlan module. In the case of the wifi card does not support the 802. 11A, you will not be able to verify this.

  • Wireless on a laptop Pavilion G7 issues

    Greetings

I seems lost all ability to connect to or even find a wireless signal.

Normally once I connect to the wireless light the F12 key will blank (off) orange (out) but for some reason his remaining orange. Currently, I get a message saying "wireless hardware can not be detected.

If I hit the F12 key to activate the wireless signal, I get a HP box that says - wireless is disabled "on your computer's wireless devices are disabled. To enable the wireless devices, press the wireless button. I do it and the message disappears, but the wireless light is still orange and I get no signal.

It does not appear that my wireless router is the problem that I can not detect any signal from my neighbors, or when I take my laptop to work, like I did before this issue emerged. I ran my HP Support Assistant and the resolution of the problems of network and Internet - HP check network connectivity, but it does not find any type of wireless device. The wired connection still works.

My machine is under Windows7 Home Premium.

    Thank you - Craig

    Hello @adityarai82,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! The forums are a great place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I read your post about the WiFi problem and wanted to help you!  I understand that you have tried the troubleshooting steps a lot already, without success.

Try to review these steps, offered by community member @Great-Christine-Tree:

First of all, we have a step by step guide to guide you through the process of diagnosis here:
Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access

A second option is to try the following steps:
    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test an ethernet connection:
Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

    Test another connection:
Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop-down list in the upper right of the document.

  • Pavilion DV7T - 1200 CTO happened w / Wireless issues - work in progress - solved

I took delivery on a DV7T yesterday.  It is configured with the minimap Intel 5100 AGN & Vista 32 Home premium (my first Vista machine).  I had updated my wireless router home in anticipation of his arrival, installation of a model of D - Link DIR-655 (Vista friendly 802.11n capable).  The router plays well with my existing XP laptop and has been configured for WPA2 AES & compatibility b/g/n.

I configured the appropriate connection parameters and launched a manual connection.  I made changes to the router so the SSID was visible and defined the DV7T for automatic connection, but it took often more a minute before the DV7T would see even the network wireless and even a minute or two before reporting the signal strength. Each time, connection attempts failed, reports of a lack of response from the router.  After the double check (and returning) settings and password several times (and the audit by doing the same thing on another laptop which connected very well) I finally decided there was a problem and called for help.  Given that the order had been placed through Costco, I went through their Concierge as a first level service. Their script for was power off all computers (XP) on the network saying that a common problem was having a Vista machine join a network with XP already connected machines. No joy. Same lack of goodness after removing/reinstalling the drivers. It was as much as the script went to attempts at original resolution.

At this point, no resolution & I plan just to return the machine for a refund (lack of wireless really it would damage the intended use). Propelled upwards all the equipment I had turned off.  Bored of not knowing for sure if it was an inherent incompatibility or a hardware problem (the day of delivery!)  I ended up out and pick up an express format card card N Wireless of Linksys.   Responsible drivers, plugged in the card and voila! immediately, the machine connects using the configuration of the connection that I had entered previously.  On top of that, the flow of data showed that 240-270 mbits.

With this info, I went back to service, initially to the connection of Costco and then discussed in HP support. After a 3 hour marathon call, HP sends a replacement 5100AGN card to 'see if this fixes things', if it is not, the machine must go back to the service (as a problem of antennas would not be repairable client). Part of the duration of a call has been associated with finding the right part for a machine CTO.  The wireless card on my machine something SN (Broadcom) was set apart from the 5100 (although the list mentioned packing a minimap Intel next gen and the Manager device reports an Intel 5100AGN).  They have finally found a suitable part number (I hope).

I just thought I would pass this along in case where someone else found themselves in a similar situation.  I'll post much after that the replacement property is displayed. As a side note, the Linksys N Ultra Rangeplus expresscard works really well as a replacement. Of course I'd rather not have something projecting from the side, but it certainly did the job.

    EDITION - ADDENDUM

After the above post, I couldn't help but think that a problem of antennas sounded very probably - maybe a lead broken/disconnected (something I mentioned to the technology of the telephone service).  In any case, just a minute before, I went ahead and pulled the bottom panel, so I could take a look at the wireless card.  Technology said there would be two tracks running to the card - only was connected, the other has fallen in a crack between the card and the frame.  The wire not connected has been labeled "main" and there is a connector on the "main" labelled map  The two sons had been celo-glued to the card (in the broad sense), but I had the disconnected an oriented properly & pressed into the connector on the card.  He buttoned & turned on the machine.  He immediately finds the wireless network and connection has been made in a few seconds.

My only ongoing question may turn out to be wireless performance.  Connection with the linksys card speeds were always above 200 (230-270).  Speeds, I see on the bed in so far have been initially lower than 100, with the best after being 150 mbits.  Any suggestions for how this can be improved?  Will the adapter 'learn' alone and get better over time?

    FINAL ADDENDUM-

Model found on another forum that the 5100AGN has apparently a maximum 150 Mbps on a 300 Mbps max for RX & TX... the 5300AGN is 300 in both directions.

This suggests that the 150 that I see is as good as it gets for my integrated card. Apparently, the Linksys expresscard I used is good for TX/RX 300.

I don't know that the costco guys worked just for the trouble shooting script, he gave.  On the plus side, he had an understanding of the issues, & spoke vernacular American English (and not in a call center offshore).  He was ready to continue, but I needed a time out.  The second call (after me obtain Linksys for comparison) was good enough and the technology was very ready he climbs to a technician of HP (once again, the continent - not off shore), which was certainly ready to order a replacement part, but crossed a few last checks more that the internal card could not be implemented. The part was sentenced & will be shipped without requiring a deposit of me. The only negative for telephone exchanges, it's neither opening proposed leads the lower panel to check the antennas have been connected correctly.

As stated in the original post - edited-, the final fix was to open the Panel & visually notice that a 'primary' marked lead was not connected to the wireless card.  Attaching which lead to the consequence named connector on the Board eliminated the problem.   The disparity of the connection speeds between the internal 5100AGN and the Linksys 802.11n expresscard was due to the limitations of card design (150TX/300RX 5100AGN and 300 TX/RX for the Linksys), so the 150 Mbps I see currently for internally is as good it will become.  I'll probably send the rear replacement not opened as opposed to actually Exchange cards. (I don't think that the shipment may be shortstopped at this point...).

You can connect your laptop to the router using the LAN cable?

Try restarting your router. Disconnect password and check if the WIFI connection working.
Also, check the router and WLAN card settings. Don't forget that both devices use the same WLAN mode.

  • Issue wireless and slow graphic on Toshiba laptop

It must connect to the Internet even I 30Mbit/s so fast connection and sometimes it is not even connect to the Internet from the worst wireless card that I've ever seen of the age.
And can someone tell me what I have on the wireless settings when I test my speed it will not display the parameters: 356Mbits/s, he jumps, here is a picture where I mean what settings I have to correct this: [http://www.pikipimp.com/pp/pimped_photo/s/image/41/108/213/Sk_rmklipp4.JPG?ts=1233587970173]

Why the graphics settings are so old so bad it sounds as if it was a joke, so slow when I play games The Graphic 3D - OMG - why?

These 2 are not only the problem, but they are more important problem for me that's why I posted them, because there are more question, but it's only under Vista or XP as well?

In your case I would update the graphics driver and WLAN.
The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

The image that you posted the question wireless is not available.
However, I put t know how to access the internet, but it could also be a router issue. Try to update the firmware and check all of the WLAN settings on it and on your laptop.

On the issue with online videos, I can say that you should try a different browser or plug-in (often you need Adobe Flash Player) is not working properly.
Check and update software which are required for this.

  • 1297cb HP P7: lack of response from the hard drive or windows 7 to my monitor help

Greetings.  I have a HP P7 1297cb, all original material except the memory and hard drive.

Original OS at home, is now Pro.
I thought that my hard drive has expired and bought a new WD 2 TB black.
And I don't have the other HDD cause I already threw out.

So, here I am.   I installed the WD Black again and nothing.  Monitor powers and that's it.
I get a hard drive light to everything first, about 5 to 10 seconds and off.  Touch HD and feels light low race.
All fans and fees lights.  Power light on.

No NumLock or number lock lights.  Œuvres and key/monitor / mouse, as I am with them now.

Shot four sticks of 2 GB memory and get the beep.  One at a time plugged in no beeps and back in.
You use a Windows 7 Pro disk rebuild for installation.  When the computer starts, I tried F10, F12 and nothing.
I even pulled the mobo battery for a few seconds.
I disconnected the power supply cord (pc) and held in the power button for about 30 seconds.
I even turned on with the installation disc in and waited (until at least 20 minutes) to see if the screen would change nothing.
I am willing to check the cpu, which remains the only thing to check, I'm guessing that about it.
I get no beep or beeps when the pc starts.

So, I guess also, that my problem was not the hard drive in the first place. ???
Thanks in advance for any help.

    gwolfman

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I don't know what a "Windows 7 Pro Rebuild disk'- so I don't know if it's any bootable media.

Unless you changed the default device sequence in the start section of the configuration of the BIOS, it will look at the HDD FIRST and since it is empty, the PC will simply sit there - nothing to do.

So, you must get to a boot device selection screen to boot from the DVD of Win7.

The typical ways of doing are to press F9 or F12 - one of them will be implemented a unique boot device selection menu.  Then, you select the DVD drive and the PC should then restart.

It can display a line of text at the top of the screen, something like «press any key to boot from...» "If Yes, press the space bar.

If the DVD is good, the PC will then start on the initial screen for the installation of Windows.

    Good luck

Very slow performance on wireless and many drop-outs.  Don't you this problem with other laptops, etc. It doesn't matter how close to the router that I am.  It is virtually unusable.  Netwrk cable is very fast, this laptop is fine.

I updated the bios to the latest version.

Wireless device is Intel Centrino N2230 network card. It runs the latest driver - version 15.10.0.11

Any help please it's driving me crazy?

    Hello

The latest drivers still does not work.  Finish I swapped out for an Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6235, which works perfectly and is steady as a rock.

  • Satellite P200-1ED - wireless issue

    Hey guys,.

I hope that I write in the right forum!

I had my * Satellite P200-1ED * for a while now and he used to work on the internet very well.

However these last weeks I tried to sort, because it is quite frustrating not being able to go on the internet on my laptop!

    ---
My network is encrypted WEP and SSID is set to broadcast, however I can't connect to it.

I've updated the drivers of the * Atheros ARG5007EG * at the latest and I still cannot get lucky.

It seems that the other networks appear sometimes to connect with the exception of my own. * HOWEVER * I have two other laptops (both on Windows XP) which connect perfectly to the network anywhere in the House and in the garden, so it's not a network range deliver - I even tried sitting right next to the router with this laptop!

Please could someone give me some advice, I tried my best to solve myself, but I'm out of ideas.

    Responds very well appreciated.

    Hello

I think it's a question of wireless settings. I suggest you remove the card from the Device Manager and all the fittings 'network connections '.

Then, install the card and create a new wireless connection and RECHECK your settings / wireless password, SSID, IP, etc...
The last resort would be to recover the machine in order to exclude all software related issues.

What kind of router do you have? Have you already tried to reset all the settings of the router and on your machine and disabling WEP encryption to make sure that the machine connects in its basic configuration to the router?

    Welcome them

  • With Satellite Pro L300 wireless issues

    Hello

I recently install a new wireless network and a new laptop.

The wireless access Point is a Netgear WG102.

Wireless laptop card is a Realtek RTL8187B.

    OS: Windows XP SP3.

Everything connected correctly the first time and was allowed for the first days but it has stopped working. When the laptop was switched on it would not automatically connect to the access point.

When I opened the Windows wireless configuration utility it told me that there are no wireless networks in range. It was not true that there is a non-Toshiba laptop in the same room connected to the access point at full power and never had any problems.

As a matter of course, I updated the firmware on the router and updated the drivers on the laptop at the latest.

Realtek drivers came from their site:

    [http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=1&PFid=1&Level=6& Conn = 5 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false & downloads = true #R TL8187B]

I've even updated the Bios later and the problem still occurs and intermittently - still sometimes, when it starts it will connect, others he used.

When he used - Windows cannot disable or remove from Device Manager and crashes when you perform a reboot - it of like the unit is not an answer and causing Windows problems.

I couldn't find anything specific to the event opens a session on the issue.

I think to do a guarantee ask for it.

    Any suggestions would be welcome

    Thank you

    Dave.

    Hello

I would like to start with your last sentence. Warranty claim it is very interesting. Can you please tell me something first: you have Windows XP edition SP3 family of Toshiba recovery image or you have installed Windows XP SP2 home edition on your own? If you install on your own how you can make a claim under warranty. I'm sure that there is a problem with SP3. I always use SP2 and my laptop works well. Security features in Sp3 are not known to me, but I recommend you to check all the WLAN settings. Perhaps there is a new option that must be activated.

I assume that your laptop comes with Vista OS. Am I right about that? Have you noticed the same problem with Vista preinstalled running?

  • Satellite Pro A200 wireless issue sometimes disconnects

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A200 with a wireless issue.
I use home wireless. Every now and then while surfing it won't find the page. I try to connect via my VPN connection I have for the office.
If you click Cancel, it will sometimes continue surfing very well but sometimes can not find the page.

I disabled the wireless and connection is used hard and no problem.
It would be desirable to re - install the drivers for the wireless?
I think I've removed the software toshiba Wireless thing (forget his name) when I got it.
    So maybe that's the issue.

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Thank you

Of course, it would be desirable to update the WLan driver in most cases it s WLan compatibility issue between card WiFi and router

I recommend updating the driver WLan and also you can update the BIOS if a new version has been available for your laptop model
