  • Wireless keyboard not working anymore... wireless mouse still works.

My keyboard just stopped working for me while I was typing... put batteries in... reset... pulled the usb dongle... He... moving mouse and keyboard use the same dongle... mouse continued to work... any ideas? Thank you.

    can help...

What they don't tell you in ANY textbook, is that the blue light on the USB receiver is actually a reset button!  With the receiver plugged into a USB port, I pushed the button/light until he began to blink.  What would you like to do next is to press the blue button (unlit) on the bottom of the keyboard until the blue light on the receiver STOPS flashing.  At this point, my keyboard started working again, and the mouse was fine.

I have HP Envy Beats all-in-one.  Mouse worked, keyboard no longer works unless after withdrawal of the driver for keyboard then rebooted.  Would work for this next boot, solved by disabling fast-start-up in power options, the theory is computer starts jumped linking or simply crossed it faster that the keyboard can answer.  Hope this helps you.

  • HP Pavilion g7-1365dx: wireless keyboard does not work.

I have a combination and connected mouse microsoft wireless keyboard to my laptop.  The mouse recently 'died' and replace the batteries with new Energizer batteries did not help.  I bought a new Logitech mouse and installed the new USB connector and the mouse worked flawlessly.  However, the wireless keyboard does not work now.  If I reinstall the 'old' or the original USB, the wireless keyboard connector works fine.  The new mouse does not work with the original USB connector.  So now I have two USB connectors that are connected to the computer to make the functional keyboard and mouse.  Is there a solution to eliminate one of the USB connectors?  I realize that the brand of the mouse and keyboard are different.  This is the problem and if so can it be fixed?

    Hi ECJ-10,

Well, you answered your question yourself. They are different products, so you need 2 USB receivers.

The alternative is to get a replacement of microsoft mouse if it is still under warranty, they usually do.

    Hope this helps.

  • Upgrading from MS done my wireless keyboard work correctly

MS installed an update on my machine, don't know that one right now, but the update resulting caused my (MS Wireless Keyboard 6000 v2) wireless keyboard stop working properly. I replaced the batteries, went through all the basic troubleshooting steps without consistent success. A few things authorized feature intermittent but nothing solved the real problem. The symptoms are: intermittent connectivity, typing errors (IE if I input 0 exit is entered or 0 j out ;) constant output without entry jl (that is, if I get a browser open, sometimes it will boot just out of a string of 1 in the scope of available data).) A few times the mouse failed. But especially the keyboard. Thanks in advance.

    "HID keyboard device.

I could use some help here!

    Thank you

    Hans

    Hello Hans,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the IntelliType software is not able to detect the keyboard of the CRA. The question could arise for various reasons, including a faulty hardware, damaged driver etc. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if they help to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

If the issue still not detected or resolved, proceed to the next method.

    Method 2:

I suggest you try to install TWO software provided for Windows 7 in the following link of support for Microsoft Arc Keyboard. Check if the keyboard is detected.

    Microsoft Accessories: keyboard Arc

If the problem persists, I suggest you refer to the following article which allows troubleshooting of common keyboard problems.

  • A wireless keyboard with 2 receivers work?

A wireless keyboard will work 2 computers with the right wireless receivers?
Ive got a 5000 wireless with USB receiver?
If I buy just a wireless mouse that will work I have what I need to try and buy another set of 5000?

    Thank you

    Hello Mk2madman,

Thank you for your message.  Yes, if the receiver is the same on both machines your keyboard and your mouse should work.  You will most likely need to connect them by pressing on the (synchronize or connect) button on the keyboard and the mouse, otherwise, it should work.  To be completely safe, however, you can check with the hardware manufacturer to ensure that it is possible with these specific products.

  • Wireless keyboard 6000 v 3.0 Enhanced F keys work not properly.

Just bought a Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3.0 installed the software on my Vista 64 bit system with Service Pack 2 installed and everything seemed OK until I came to use the features of the F1 to F12 keys.  For example when wishing to print a MS Word 2007 document pressing the F12 print key it refreshes the save box.  Press F11 which is recording key nothing happens, when you press F10 to spell check a series of small boxes with letters and numbers appear on the Word tab bar.  Checked the settings in the control panel for keyboard, everything looks OK and checked the settings of the tab key that once again apears so that these keys correctly assigned. Checked and keyboard software is up-to-date. Any help would be appreciated on how to get these keys work correctly.

  • my wireless keyboard does not work on the letter and number keys.

It seems to be connected to the computer, because it does not work on the control button and snooze sound

    Hello

-Have you made any recent hardware / software changes prior to this question?

-What is the brand and model of wireless keyboard?

Method 1: run the hardware troubleshooter.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2: update a hardware driver that is not working properly

    (a) open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and security, and then, under system, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    (b) in the list of hardware categories, find the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
    (c) click on the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3: resynchronize your device with the receiver

To resynchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, follow these steps.

Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard le clavier with the receiver, place the device near the receiver and store other keyboards and wireless mouse at least 6 feet.
    1. press the button on the receiver and check that the light on the receiver starts flashing.
Note Some newer devices from Microsoft are subject to their receiver and cannot be reset. If your device has a button, go to method 2.
    2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
    3. press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
    4. check the green light on the receiver. A continuous green light means that the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 to 4.
    5. for the Wireless Notebook Mouse: this issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a PIN or pen to try to release the button, if it is pressed.

    Hope this information helps.
