All of a sudden my mouse does not work.  I tried to do what he says to do to another person, but he has not shown in Device Manager, device usb in the list

You have changed the batteries? The batteries can go fast enough in a wireless mouse; they will also without any warning, a minute of your mouse works, next day it doesn't.

I'll add my Ditto to that. I played a bit with a wireless mouse for
only a little time and he abandoned entirely for exactly this reason.

    Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what the problem is. I guess you have some software installations to your external device. Install it and it should work.

As much I know external mouse functionality does not depend on the touchpad settings.

  • MS point 5000 laser wireless mouse does not work, but scrolling and magnifying glass works

My point of 5000 MS wireless laser mouse does not work, but work wheel Magnifier button and scroll.  What could cause this problem?  I there something wrong with the mouse or something should be cleaned?  This is the first question I had after 3 years of use.

I have not any hardware or software changes, and the problem is constant, not specific to any application.

I restored my system to my latest backup when the mouse was working, but it has not solved the problem.  The software update has not solved the problem.

I installed a different mouse, which works very well. The wireless mouse does not work on another system, I assume that it's broken and I will replace it.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

Sorry, but if your talk to get the mouse drivers from HP, what's not at work, such as HP does not include drivers for the hardware not HP.

Have you tried to download the drivers from the manufacturer of the mouse?

You must go to the settings, update & Security-> Windows Update.

Then, choose Advanced-> history to see when the updates have been applied last. If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, if you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem. Do so you by going into Device Manager, see if the device is still listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-driver-updates-windows-update-enable-disable-windows-10-a.html

If the appropriate device adapter is no longer present in the Device Manager, what MIGHT work is something known as a repair installation. It is less destructive of all Windows recovery features and rewrites the Windows system files, leaving your apps, settings and data intact.

To do this, you will need to use the link to the installation media to download Win10 and burn a DVD or create a USB key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Once you have, follow the instructions in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

    Good luck

I used a Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 for about 4 months. 1 month ago inadvertently, I poured a bit of water on it (a little) and it has stopped working for about 12 hours, then returned to normal. But now, it happens again, and there is absolutely no water in mice! What happens to my mouse?

Yes, it's a very stupid question. Of course, I tried new batteries! I put the mouse at the store, they said they would give me a new as soon as they got the model of my mouse. So, problem solved! Thanks for answering my question everyone.

    Hi dwells1957,

Thanks for the post! Looks like you might have the USB receiver connected to the USB ports on the back of the system? While anchored feature transfers E7440 of ports at the back of the unit to the Wharf (by disabling these ports).

Rear ports Latitude E7440 & E7240 system are disabled when it is docked on an E-port I / II or E-port Plus I / II

If you connect the USB receiver on the dock or on the USB port on the side of the system, it should work correctly when it is connected to the docking station.
