wireless network hardware
I had to reinstall Windows Vista home basic on my laptop back. After having done that, I tried to connect to the internet soon after. It wouldn't detect all wireless connections. He said that I needed on my computer wireless network hardware. Before I did this, I have not had any problems with this before. So where this material go and how can I get it back? Oh and my wifi button lights not on or off.
Hello
What was the reason you need to reinstall Windows? Did you use the methods provided by the system
Maker?
Try to download the driver WiFi of the Site of the manufacturer of your system on another computer and transfer
laptop on removable media. Or use a wired connection, if it works on the laptop to download
it.
/ Settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 as you start then look at the screen - check to see if there is a
Turn on/off wireless and if so it Enable value.
If you can not get the WiFi to work you can add an adapter USB to WiFi add-on.
I hope this helps.

Satellite A300-10 s / wireless network hardware not installed
Hello
Yesterday, I bought a Satellite A300-S10; everything works fine, except for wireless network equipment. When I go into Device Manager, I see 'controller Ethernet", with a yellow exclamation point listed under 'other devices '.
I downloaded some drivers of your wireless download page. Problem is that I don't know what wireless hardware is inside this laptop, so I don't know which driver I excactly must download and install. I tried a few, but those who did not.
OS: Windows Vista 32 bit.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance,
Nicolas

Cannot find wireless networks - 'hardware radio switch off' on HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
The product name and number:
HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, product number: LZ802PA
Operating system installed:
Windows 7 Home Basic, 64-bit
Error message:
"Radio equipment extinguished."
All changes to your system until the problem occurred:
I was looking for a solution anywhere, including the hp Web site and forum and manual PDFs.
I have a problem to connect to internet wireless (I can connect using a cable). The wireless button is on (seeing the key F12 is blue), but "Intel My WIFI utility" tells me that the "hardware radio switch off." I was looking for the switch on the case and sought a shortcut to do this - but could not find.
As a result - my laptop cannot recognize any wireless connection, even if they exist for sure!
I also used Microsoft System Restore to restore to an earlier date - before the problem accrued. There was no difference.
Also, I reinstalled the drivers wireless Intel, Intel PROSet and my WIFI for Microsoft Windows 7. It does not help either.
Help, please!
I managed to fix it!
I had to get into the BIOS and enable the network card in there!

Can someone help with the following problem please?
I'm unable to connect to the wireless network.
I have an Acer Aspire 5315 with an Atheros AR5007EG wireless adapter. This shows that "working properly" in the Device Manager. I tried to re - install the drivers for it constantly. They seem to everyone install ok but I still have the problem.
The symptoms are...
(1) if I try to set up a wireless connection, I get "unexpected error occurred". There is no useful looking for messages in the event viewer.
(2) if I use "Diagnose and repair" I get "knows the network adapter driver or hardware related issues.
I uninstalled everything which I think could be the cause of conflicts. I scanned for malware. I have run chkdsk and sfc. I have all the updates from Windows Update. I tried in Safe Mode with networking, but still get the same results.
OS is Vista Home Basic 32-bit SP2.
I would be grateful for any advice that might help solve this please.
I have now re-installed Windows and everything works fine. I still have no idea what caused the problem, or if it could have been set without a re - install.
Thanks for the replies.

The Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter adapter has driver - or hardware problems
It's for my laptop Acer Aspire V3 - 771G who has internet CONNECTION problems. I was able to connect fine until windows 8, now I can only connect using the hard line. I ran a bunch of updates, driver downloads and etc means for this model directly on the Acer website for the upgrade of windows 7 to 8 and I had no chance. However, this message appears when I try to fix the problems of network adapter "the Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network adapter adapt knows driver - or hardware-related problems". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I FIXED IT ALL! :) Simply drag or type at the top right of your screen to open the SEARCH option. Research of Control Panel. Click MANAGE the DEVICES. Now, you can either search for the driver who is broken or defective write his name uninstall, and then reinstall it from the web (recommended to go to page creator ex; atheros was mine so I have downloaded from them.) If you have no W/LAN driver then go to your website of the laptop manufacturers and find the necessary driver for your model :) I HOPE THIS HAS HELPED!

Hello community! Need help, I want to use two routers to establish two separate wireless networks on a cable modem connection. I searched for my answer and see some other threads on this topic, but all are either a bit too technical for me, are incomplete on the answers to my questions - and all seem to be locked. I have also searched YouTube and only see videos to extend a network with two routers - not my goal. So here is a long, but a detailed post on what I need someone help with - thank you very much in advance if anyone can all small-not me-I hope it will be useful to others in the future.
The program installation/hardware: I have internet Comcast/Xfinity that runs to a Motorola surfboard cable modem (SB6141). I also have two routers apple - a Time Capsule from Apple AirPort (to end 2013) and a new (2016) AirPort Extreme.
Purpose: This is what I need--I need two separate wireless networks. Before going further, by using the guest account and 5 GHz of a single router isn't an option for me. I need to have both wireless networks separate (one of each router), do not talk to each other, or allow access between the two - the only is that they share the Comcast internet gateway.
My plan is to have the cable modem Surfboard connect to airport Time Capsule, which will then connect to AirPort Extreme (even if it could be reverse - no difference, except that the data that I show below comes from the time Capsule, which is currently connected to the modem cable).
To read the previous discussions, it seems that the starting point would be: modem router #1 Ethernet WAN, then a router cable #1 LAN Ethernet to the Router #2.
First issue of clarification - the connecting cable should go to the Ethernet WAN port on the Router #2 or a LAN Ethernet port?
Now that the first easy question is the road, I need help to configure two routers connected to allow two separate networks. A lot of discussions about the positions of static IP addresses, cascade, etc.. I need specific help with AirPort Utility on what to change on what router. It seems obvious that the settings under the 'Internet' and 'Network' tabs are those who need to set - the 'wireless' tabs simply treats the name of the wireless network and settings - these, at least I can understand!
I'll organise this tabbed - here go us.
First of all, the "Internet" tab/window Airport utility. Here are the options:
Connect using: Router #1 has currently DHCP (which I think is OK?) What should it be set to Router #2?
This tab lists also the current address in IPv4, the (255.255.254.0) subnet mask and the router address.
It has grayed out information in the boxes for the DNS servers; Name of domain and DNS IPv6 servers. At the bottom of the window, there is an IPv6 Internet WAN address listed.
If I click on the "Internet Options" button at the bottom of the window, it takes me to the 'Internet Options' window. Here, there are various IPv6 information - it seems that I can choose the configuration of IPv6 and the IPv6 mode using the drop down boxes/selections were also chosen. There is also a checkbox 'Enable IPv6 connection sharing'. Are the current settings for these for Router #1: configure IPv6: automatically; IPv6 mode: Native; and check/yes to enable sharing of IPv6.
Next up, the 'Network' tab utility AirPort/window.
Here, there is a drop-down menu "Router Mode", a DHCP range listed, and the ability to add or remove reservations DHCP and Port settings. The DHCP range listed for Router #1 is 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200. There is currently no reserves DHCP or specified Port settings. Finally, there is a checkbox to the bottom to "Activate the access control" - it is not currently checked/enabled.
If I click on the 'Network Options' button at the bottom of the window, it takes me to the "Networking Options" window Here I have areas of entry to specify the DHCP lease duration, can specify the DHCP IPv4 range, as well as part of the extended DHCP IPv4 comments. There are checkboxes: enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol. Select the host by default (with input if selected text box); Enable the IGMP Snooping; Block incoming IPv6 connections; Allow the Teredo Tunnels; and allow inbound IPSec authentication.
For this window, here is the current settings on the Router #1:
DHCP lease is 1 day; Beach DHCP IPv6 is 10.1.2 to 200; Hosts IPv4 DHCP Range is 172.16.42.2 to 200. The following check boxes are enabled/checked: enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol. Block incoming IPv6 connections; And allow inbound IPSec authentication.
Who can help me? What parameters, if all do I need to change the #1 router? How to set up router #2 to make a second wireless network?
Purpose: This is what I need--I need two separate wireless networks. Before going further, by using the guest account and 5 GHz of a single router isn't an option for me. I need to have both wireless networks separate (one of each router), do not talk to each other, or allow access between the two - the only is that they share the Comcast internet gateway.
What you really need is a combination router / Ethernet switches that s supports VLANdedicated. Given that Apple routers do not, at best, you can potentially get the results that you are looking for, but at a performance cost. In other words, you can have two separate WiFi networks where clients connected to a network can not 'see' those related to another and both routers will always provide access to the Internet through Comcast modem. Note: Arris / Motorola SB6141 isn't a gateway device. Instead, it's a simple modem. A gateway is a router modem combination.
To do this, should do the following:
- The Time Capsule (TC) would need to be directly connected to the modem using an Ethernet cable. This base station would remain in its default configuration of the router. In other words, the router Mode (in AirPort Utility) would establish: DHCP and NAT.
- AirPort Extreme would be directly linked to TB by Ethernet. The cable must be connected to one of the LAN ports on the TC on the WAN port to the extreme. It must also be configured as a router. However, there are differences in the extreme:
- Use a different name to the Wi - Fi network.
- Use another range of IP DHCP address. By default, Apple base stations use IP addresses in the 10.0.x.x range. I suggest that you set the base station of the second on 192.168.x.x range.
There is a major drawback with this configuration. The second base station will be in a State of "Double NAT". Although this "separating" the two networks on different subnets, this condition is not very effective and connected to this network of customers will get lower throughput performance. There is no way around it and it is not recommended.
First of all, the "Internet" tab/window Airport utility. Here are the options:
Connect using: Router #1 has currently DHCP (which I think is OK?) What should it be set to Router #2?
The two should be: DHCP.
This tab lists also the current address in IPv4, the (255.255.254.0) subnet mask and the router address.
These leave it as what. The TC is information of IP address of the modem. The extreme, he'll get the TC.
It has grayed out information in the boxes for the DNS servers; Name of domain and DNS IPv6 servers. At the bottom of the window, there is an IPv6 Internet WAN address listed.
These leave it as what.
Unless your ISP provides your IPv6 service, change the IPv6 configuration option to: 'Link-local only' on two base stations.
Router mode should be: DHCP and NAT to two base stations. Ignore the DHCP reservations and Port settings for now. Let the current DHCP range for the TC. Change the DHCP range for extreme for: 192.168.1.2 a.200. At this point do not access control for each base station.
Since you seem to need the step by step instructions or need help to understand the different terms networking, I highly recommend that you help you to become familiar with networking, specifically on Apple systems. I suggest you consider taking the e-Book to the next control: take control of your Wi - Fi Applehttps://www.takecontrolbooks.com/apple-wifi network

Try to install the adapter wireless network on s5503w
Can need help, someone tell me the solution for my problem on the Pavilion Slimline s5503w wireless network adapter?
It has an operating system of windows 7, works in 64-bit, 3 GB of RAM, proc AMD140 to 2700 mhz. Have you tried three different suppliers of network adapters wireless Rosewill RNX-N180PCe pci Express 1, TP-Link TL WN781ND pci express 1
and now finally, Netgear WG111v3. I just want to get the wireless desktop. I have a wireless G of Linksys WRT54G Router, D-Link print server currently works wireless. I have Zone Alarm Firewall and Avira AntiVir Personal Antivirus.
Yes, windows update is turned on and it's all good. The problem is once the driver software is loaded, then the hardware is installed. Windows never displays the wireless network adapter on any able to pick up a wireless transmitters. The error I get is: an unexpected error has occurred. Seek to deepen, I read that he was saying that Windows could not set the IP address.
This would indicate that my software driver wireless network adapter did not work. Yes, I have installed internet access and it indicated on the Internet site, that the cd was the most recent driver so no additional download was necessary, use the cd to install the driver. In addition, went to the Windows 7 compatibility page and the netgear WG 111v3 that my current card is authorized for 64 bit. So, where should I go from here? Oh, yes the s5503w recognizes the hardware in the device mgr. He sees the driver software, it's like something is blocking the final stages of obtaining information IP/MAC of the wireless network adapter.
Hello:
I would say that there is a problem with the 3rd party firewall.
I had the same network Netgear USB v2 card no less, and it works well with my setup of W7 64 bit on my HP PC.
I recommend you uninstall or disable the ZoneAlarm firewall.
W7 features of a firewall, your router WRT54G has a hardware firewall. I had one of those too, but moved to the E2000. I assume that your wireless network is secured in some way. I think that this is your problem.
Did you know that you can get a free antivirus/antispyware software from Microsoft that works just great?
Here is the link:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-security/MSE.aspx
I think that it would cause less problems with my installation of other free software system. I have yet to be disappointed.

HP Photosmart C4780 connects not (wireless) on Mac or wireless network
Sorry for the long post, but please someone help me!
I bought my new printer a few days (actually 14th) and began to implement on my MacBook Pro with my Wi - Fi, which is routed through a Linksys router and mainly through my desktop computer (a PC with Windows XP). I used the CD that came with the printer to set it up on my Mac and it has set up the fine by USB, but when I try to set up the wireless, I get the following message:
"Device not connected: to configure the network settings for the selected device, please connect via USB temporarily." The device can be disconnected from the USB once the network settings are transferred. »
I reconnected and got the same message over and over again, so I decided to set up on my desktop computer instead. This does not work either and I got the same message on my desk I have on my laptop. Uninstalled on both computers, reinstalled and I STILL got the same message. At this point, I'm about to throw all the electronics in my bath tub and be done with them but on the contrary, I checked (and double checked - and triple checked) my router via my browser settings, fact that I know the SSID and the password and reconnected to the network through my laptop... Once again, the same message. I tried the network installation of push, the installation of the network PIN, I feel I have tried everything! Probably miss me something small, but eyes fresh is always an asset.
Can someone help me? I printed a Test report of the network so that a Page Network Configuration and settings I received both... if need be, I can post the information from my router, in order to verify to implement, but after two days of trying to implement something that should have taken ten minutes (sometimes) I'm at my wits end.
Network Test report:
"Your HP printer cannot find your wireless router. Check our wireless router has power. Make sure that your network (SSID) HP printer name exactly matches your router (SSID) wireless network name. If they do not exactly match, run the installation of the wireless network to set up your HP printer. »
How to change the network name of the printer to match?
Summary of diagnosis:
Wireless on: PASS
Wireless work: PASS
Find the network name (SSID): FAILURE
Security: PASS
The printer settings compatible with the wireless router settings: does not work
No filtering: does not work
Related: Does not work
Signal strength: does not work
Other networks detected matching your network name (SSID): does not work
Detected wireless networks: 1
Downlink Count: 0
Channel: Does not work
Although I was given my SSID (which does not match my home network - but how can I change this?) and my MAC address (I guess for the printer), so I didn't have the IP address of my printer has no way for me to get online to check all the settings! Is there another way to get this IP address?

a6755y: a6755y wired and wireless network hard
I already spoke with my ISP nothing helps technical support.
I recently created my desktop computer again after having been stored for several months. Before I put it there, I was using wireless internet and local wireline connections regularly and without problem, and now I can not access to either. I have a strong connection with the modem/router device, so I thought that the issue could be in how its configuration or interpret the connection from my computer, but nothing, I have discovered has indicated that this was the case, and convenience store customer support my ISP did not find anything abnormal. I was now more confused when I discovered that it also fails to connect to another computer using a direct wired connection, even though I had in the past linked their and transfer large files regularly. I would like to assume that these issues are linked, to make the simplest solution; but as one involves a separate network adapter, and the other connects directly to the motherboard, I don't think that's likely.
For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
Hi there @_GS
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.I understand that you pulled on your desktop, storage and now you can not connect to your wireless network. I'm happy to help you with this problem.
Is this the same router that you were using before you put the computer in stock?
How is the computer to the router? (Sometimes too much signal is as bad as not enough)
What type of cable you are using for the connection from computer to computer, you mentioned?
There is special software required?
Have you other wireless devices that are connected to this router without problem?
The following pages are useful to the resolution of the problems of wireless connectivity and can help solve this problem. Try it and tell me if it helps.

HP Pavilion Slimline s5510y of: No. Wireless Network Adapter installed
I just bought a Pavilion Slimline S5510Y Desktop opportunity; not an installed wireless network adapter. Y at - it somewhere that I can download the map?
Here is the PAGE of SUPPORT for this office. It doesn't have a wireless adapter. It has a wired aka the installed ethernet card. The wireless adapter is a piece of hardware and must be purchased, not downloaded. There are choices in the type would work better for you - USB or PCI x 1. It may depend on the type of network you want to use. The new highspeed options may require an adapter corresponding to the specification of network router in order to achieve faster speeds of the AC. If you look at the "n" speeds then most can do. Also be aware of the bands 2.4 and 5 GHz for newer routers. If all this sounds "Greek", then perhaps seek help from a friend.

Satellite Pro L10 - wireless network cards are compatible?
I have now managed to dual boot my older Toshiba L10 with XP and Windows 7.
The existing wireless LAN card is not compatible with the Windows 7 partition and I use an external usb wireless.
Does anyone have recommendations on an internal wireless card I can buy which can replace the existing one and is both compatible with XP and Windows 7 32-bit? Is it easy to replace one card with another?
Hello
Hardware upgrade on mobile machinery is very limited and most of the information you can get on an upgrade supported for RAM or HARD drive. Upgrade for all other hardware is not supported, so actually there is no info on the hardware compatibility.
Nobody here can offer you a list with 100% compatible cards WLAN.
What WLAN card is inside your old L10?
Have you tried to install the drivers of Toshiba Portal Wlan WLAN - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/Download driver driver from here and install it. Maybe this will help you get the wireless network card is functioning properly.

Install the Mini PCI wireless network card. Need help!
Hello
I have laptop Toshiba 5200-701 which is upgradble of wireless network, so I bought the mini PCI card Philips wireless brand. The reference is PH12127-E/PH11107-E and support 802.11a/b/g network address MAC 00 4F 05 43 88 F4.
When I inserted the card in the laptop it shows new hardware found and then I downloaded website IBM software since I was told that this card is basically designed for laptop IBM, however, my laptop is unable to install the software and still facing problem... so please could someone help.
Thank you very much.Moral salvation
Well, in my opinion, you bought a bad wireless card. I don t think that your game can works with your device. Before you buy some hardware components, you need to check the compatibility of these parts. Toshiba service partners always have information about the units on the right. However, I found a wireless card that is compatible with your laptop. It's a PA3212U-1MPC.
Good bye

Pavilion dv6 wireless network card drivers?
I just finished reinstalling a new windows 7 64 bit on my laptop of uncles engaged. I reinstall the drivers and the only one missing is wireless network card driver. I run the scan on the HP site and it came not with all the drivers for the wireless adapter. It does not show that I have more drivers that need to be installed or updated. But still the wireless adapter does not work. I can't find the driver anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. It is a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.
Hello:
You're probably not following the instructions to find the hardware ID for the letter.
Here is the link for the driver, you need to map wireless in this model.
I could find on the website of HP parts surfer and enter a product number for this model.

Satellite P10 - 221: "absent wireless network card."
Hello world
I had this problem: the wi - fi network card is not present in the list of hardware, the installation of the driver (both Toshiba tools and Utilities CD and downloaded drivers) still fails. In the case of Toshiba CD it says "DON'T NOT updated the driver, Installation failed", while in the case of the downloaded drivers, nothing happens when I choose "Install" from the context menu (click on
right .inf). The problem is: the wi - fi card is completely absent, the operating system does not, it does not matter where. Someone at - it had the same problem or knows the solution?
Thanks in advance,

Hello
are you sure that you really have a wireless network card installed? Not all machines don't.
Check the code under the machine. It is printed on a silver label and looks like this:
PIII1000/256/20/14XT/D/LM/WThis one is a 1 GHz Pentium 3 machine. Read your code and put it here and we can tell if it has a built in network RLR.
