Hello

Some Toshiba have a WiFi switch on the front or side of the computer.

Check with Toshiba Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in their forums known issues.

Have you checked on other WiFi networks as a library or coffee?
========================================

Try actually update your driver - you can download it using a wired connection or on a different computer
and to transfer to this one using removable media such as a CD, DVD or USB drive.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
updated drivers.

I hope this helps.

I have configured my computer will automatically connect to my home network, but at the start, it aims rather to connect to 'SoftAP-C0', a network with zero signal strength that probably belongs to one of my neighbors. It is impossible to connect and displays "waiting for users ' instead of 'connected' or 'disconnected '. I then have to disconnect this network manually connect to my network home and enter the security key. Because my computer never gets to actually connect to the network SoftAP, I can't access the configuration window to disable the automatic connection (if it is still what makes my computer trying to connect to it in the first place.) Is there another way to access its configuration (otherwise than through the network and sharing Center)?

    Hello

You can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks, no matter where you are. The wireless networks appear only if your computer has a wireless network adapter and driver installed and the adapter is turned on.

If you want Windows to ask permission before attempting to connect to a wireless access point, you can Turn off wireless on the laptop.

You can have a switch on the laptop turns off the same. Turning off Wireless is specific to the model of the laptop.

  • JournE Air 801 not finding Wireless Networks

My 801 Air could see my wireless network when I first turned on. I had trouble getting security WPA2 to work so I reset the default 801 by using the reset on the device.

Now I am unable to find wireless networks.

Any ideas how I can get my 801 on wireless networks?

    Thanks for your help/advice.

    Hello

Are you sure that the Wifi is enabled in the settings of Air 801?
Usually the WiFi icon should be visible in the upper left corner, if the WiFi network has been activated.

I downloaded the manual for Air 801 (European Toshiba page-> support) and download-> user manual. On page 42, you will find all the details on the networks.

You can use the Wifi protected Setup. It is the best way to connect to the network.
-Select Wifi protected setup and press OK
-Press the wps button on your router wlan and press ok to continue
-Press exit to return to the previous page.

Then use the Wifi Wizard to detect and connect to the WLan router in your region.
    -wifi select Assistant
-Press on top and down to select your preferred router
-Press OK to confirm your selection
    -Enter the password router e

  • Toshiba Stor.E TV + Wireless Network Connection does not work

I can't transfer files from my desktop PC to the Stor.E via the wireless network. I use a USB WiFi dongle with a Toshiba label thereon, such as provided by Amazon when I bought the Stor.E and I had a lot of trouble so he could connect despite the strength of the signal being 7 of 10 bars.

I now get linked and read directories right on the PC but when I try to transfer a file transfer 1% (he said) of the file and then hangs until, presumably, it expires a few minutes later and told me then the USB WiFi dongle has failed. However, according to the network set up it is still connected.

I tried to access the interface of Samba using 192.168.1.9 port number, which is that of the Stor.E, and by using a browser on the PC and all I get is a page that shows a simple example of HTML + CGI - that is the Samba interface?

Anyone has any suggestions or do I return to the transfer of files via a USB.

Thank you for all your help. I'm back on now. I started having trouble a few weeks ago. My wifi connection would pass, and I have to disable and then re activate my network card back. This has been relatively shortly after my upgrade from Windows 10 but not immediately after. Then the other day which didn't work and I could not connect at all. I read somewhere to try to uninstall the network adapter and then restarting. It did not work. I also read to find updates for the network card and install those which, as mentioned by ichi730 as well. This no longer works. Then, I realized that I had not tried to restart the router after reading the post of WyreNut. It worked, thank you! I feel that it is a combination of the two pieces of advice that have worked so.

Thank you all for your comments, it's much appreciated.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: All wireless network devices will lose connectivity after printing

    Dear all,

I have a problem with my HP Photosmart 7520 printer where all wireless network devices will lose connectivity after a printer has been sent to the printer.

Number of brand and model of the router?

These settings are to set up your printer wireless (or wired):

    • Stay connected to your router
    • Trouble printer status 'offline '.
    • Wake mode 'sleep'
    • All wireless devices stay better connected

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers (wired and wireless) should always be assigned a (fixed) IP address manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network and must be outside the range of the router DHCP.  After the adjustment of the static IP address the computer must be updated to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of printers under printer properties/Ports.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here and here and still more here.  Video here explains the problem and how to solve the problem. <--> So watch this!
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto Off/sleep/Energy Saving Mode" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check your printer properties.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a socket wall and not to a UPS, power strip or a lightning arrestor. This will cause the printer to drop offline connection and disconnection (checked yes!).

Additional measures to take if you continue to have the problem (if they are posted)...

  • "Cannot connect to the network." When you enter the correct password for wireless network

    Hello

I have the HP Photosmart C7200 all-in-One series.

This seems relatively insignificant compared to some of the problems posted here, but nevertheless it is a problem.  I have a Verizon FiOS (Actiontec) router.  I am trying to connect to it wireless; the network key is using WPA authentication.  I followed all the instructions in the quick start guide.

My printer detects my network and application authentication key.  I enter the correct key, the printer is trying to establish a connection, but after about 15 to 25 seconds, I get the error message, "cannot connect to the network.  I know that my key is correct; I connect to my router very well through several laptops, PDA, etc.  I have reset the settings network default manufacturer and tried without success.

I don't know what kind of trouble shooting I'm supposed to do here.  The printer detects the router (albeit low signal strength) whenever I try to connect, I enter the password each time and I get the error each time.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: I printed the test report wireless network, here are the results:

    Radio on   PASS

    The radio work   PASS

Ethernet cable not plugged in   PASS

    Network name (SSID found)   PASS

    Security   PASS

The printer settings compatible with the configuration of the wireless router   PASS

No filtering   IN CASE OF FAILURE

    Connected   Not work

    The signal strength   Very low

Other networks detected matching you the network name (SSID)   NO.

I know this sounds strange, but try changing channel by channel 11 of the wireless router.

  • Wireless networks icon disappeared in network connections

I ran a software malware recommended by my administrator (Verizon) internet agent after a long period of trouble connecting to the wireless router. After telling it to remove the files mentioned, I'll be back to see the wireless icon is missing under network connections in the Control Panel. No idea what happened to her. Now, I can not access the router somehow. What can I return this icon of wireless networks. ?

I do not think that you do not forget the files that you have deleted or 'malware software' you used?

I would like to start by uninstalling and reinstalling your wireless adapter.

If you have an external wifi adapter, go to the manufacturer Web site and download the latest driver for it.

If you have an internal wifi adaptor (probably in laptops), go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for your wireless card.  Most computer manufacturers provide a link for the correct driver after you identify the specific model of your computer (in the case of Dell, use the "Service Tag").

Save the driver a place that you will be able to find (on a USB flash drive if you have used another computer)

Open the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK)
Expand the "Network adapters" category by clicking on the +.
Right-click on the entry of your wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
OK, go out of your way and restart.

If the Add New Hardware Wizard does not open when Windows reboots and detects the device, go back to Device Manager, right click on the entry of the wifi adapter and select Update driver
On the Hardware Update Wizard screen, don't let it connect to Windows Update, but select "Install from a list or specific location."
Click 'Search for the best driver' and also 'include this location '.  Click on the "Browse" button and navigate to the folder where you saved the downloaded driver (unpacked already, if you downloaded in compressed form).  Make sure you select the subfolder WinXP (or a similar name).
Click next and the adapter must install.

Assuming that the above results in an icon for your adapter in network connections wireless, there is more to do.

Right click on the network connections icon, then select Properties.

Make sure that shows the 'General tab '.
In the box under "this connection uses the following items", you should have 4 entries:
    Microsoft Networks client {needed}
    {Required} (TCP/IP) Internet Protocol
    Sharing files and printers for Microsoft Networks {necessary if you want to be able to share files and printers}
{Optional, but usually present} QoS Packet Scheduler

If these elements are not in the list, make sure, using the install and following dialogs.

In the wireless network properties dialog boxes, click the tab 'wireless networks '.
Make sure the box to "use Windows to configure my wireless" is checked unless you have the utility of the manufacturer do this work.
    OK your way out

  • Problems with wireless USB adapter. Icon missing "Wireless network connection".

I recently got a laptop HD malfunction cause me to start my PC from 2004. I bought a Belkin N150 Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet connectivity. I double checked the drivers, reboot the cable modem, so that appropriate services were activated and still no dice. I have read forums and I'm almost at the point of paying MS for technical support services, but it's really just my last step before I shell out money for professional help. Notice to lovers? =)

    Hello

Well, at this point, you should make an executive decision.

If you think that someone will take just guilt because it's comfortable, it is not going to happen.

If a new card that is known to work does not work, then you can try to re - install Windows.

One of the differences between computer enthusiasts and regular users is the availability of the material. I have a set of wireless router, network cards, etc. that are known to be good.

The components are used for the sole purpose of trying them temporarily on the troubled computers to rule out hardware problems.

    Hello

If everything checked OK wise network, and you have mentioned before: ' sfc/scannow' in the command as administrator prompt and it said "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to trouble".

It is perhaps that some kernel files are corrupted and cannot be updated.

    Refresh the Installation of XP.

To be safe, back up your data and some special stuff to a flash drive.

    ----------------------------------

Boot from the original XP CD. Pass the first screen offering Console repair and proceed as if you install a new XP.

After accepting etc., the new Setup screen lights up and would detect the current XP installation.

You have an option to press R to repair.

Use it, would take about 45 min. and you would an Installation of XP refresh all by keeping your Application, data and XP configuration.

P.S. If you have made changes to the WinXP definition (special permission as firewall) security to look on them after the update because they could go back to the default value.

    Hi JosetteMaccario,

    Step 1:

You can check the following link and try to run the network diagnostic tool and check.

    Network connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-network-connection-problems

    Step 2:

You can also check out the following link and try the steps.

In the Windows wireless network connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

    Step 3:

You can also try temporarily disabling the third-party antivirus software and firewall installed on your computer and check if the problem persists. If the problem is resolved, you will need to uninstall the software and reinstall it back or change the settings and check.

Note: Be sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.

I had trouble with my laptop give up wireless connection.  Received a patcha and everything was fine until the last windows update auto.  Same problem again.  I have to constantly reset the wifi.  I run a diagnosis and I get the message that the wireless adapter has been corrected, but it won't always stay connected.  VERY frustrating.

    Hi Ccolvin3,

Windows can be disable your network adapter to save power. Disable the power saving option in the network adapter properties. To do this, try the following steps.

    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    b. in the list of objects, expand network adapters.
    c. double-click the sub element that means wireless network cards.
    d. click the power management tab.
    e. uncheck all options on the power management tab.
    f. apply the settings, and then restart the computer to check the difference.
