Wireless router not working do not! Help someone? WRT54GS

I have the router WRT54GS v. 6. I've had this router for about 8 months and now it seems to give me problems. My Linksys Easylink Advisor program could not read my router, when I opened my Linksys Advisor my WiFi router network has not shown "Wirelesss router" he showed that a 'bridge' on the bottom right is my computer. I uninstalled and installed linksys Advisor from the original disc that came with my wireless router. I opened the program from Linksys and my network name, clicking Next, it says it is trying to detect the router, but it is not. All wires are not working, I even changed my ethernet cables around to see if that was the problem but they are beautiful. For some reason it can't read my router more. Ive tried to install this new program LELA 3.0 but I keep getting errors when trying to do this thing .NET 3.0. Any ideas?

Would say allows you to configure the router manually instead of running the Easy Link Advisor depending on your service provider Internet suggest you to make settings & you will be able to go online with no problems.

  • wireless router not working do not: told by iYogi technical support for wireless router Netgear that my registry is corrupt

My Netgear wireless router (model: N300 wireless (WNR2000v3) router wireless) has stopped working properly without Internet access for my laptop (there was a triangle 'yellow' small 'i' (exclamation point) on the Wi - Fi signal strength indicator in the lower right corner of my computer screen.).  I bought only the router ago 3 months 25/08/2012.  Netgear technical assistance is really "iYogi technical support.  After more than 3 hours, Abdullah, Tech support person had me change what I think are 'DNS' settings for the router, and it now the next day, Thursday, November 15, 2012, works very well, "so far".

My question is this.  The "iYogi tech support" person said, after took my computer during the process of fixing my problem, I had 9% of my corrupt computer registry files and I need to have a computer system 'optimize' made, then I wouldn't have the same problem with the router, and other problems with my computer, in the future.  The service would cost me $150 with 1 year tech support 24/7 from "iYogi" (support for Netgear tech. company) or $50 to do it once.  There was a LOT of pressure to pay then and not wait a day or more so I could think my 90 days of Netgear Tech. Free support ends on Thursday, November 22, 2012.  The person of 'iYogi technical support', Abdullah, said that because my Toshiba laptop has 4 GB of RAM and the Netgear wireless router has a very small RAM, then in a near future the problem could happen again and I have to pay a lot of money for the correction of a problem including my registry corrupted 9% of my Windows 7 (Home Premium (64-bit) with Service Pack 1).

I had no problems with my computer that I've known since the purchase of this new about 2 years (a portable satellite youcef) ago.

I have to have my system "optimized"?  My really register 9% damaged and if yes, is this normal or do I need to have it fixed?

I was wondering if I had another brand of a router (for example the Linksys), I have the same problem?

I would be grateful to anyone who helps to answer my questions and all the other advice on this subject.

Thank you, or anyone in advance for all your help.

    Kind regards

    CCEntertain2M

"Registry was damaged and needed optimization" - complete garbage, if the registry is damaged the PC does not start, the registry requires no optimization, third party that claims to optimize the registry software is snake oil and in the worst cases can make the system unusable.

Usually if you have a router problem appear, of the first steps would be to reboot the router (unplug his pwr for a minute) and re start the PC. These steps are usually all that is necessary.

  • Maybe wireless router not working only not with the new laptop.

I have a Cisco's Linksys wireless router. I got it for about 2 or 3 years. We bought after we bought our old laptop with Windows 7, but we have a new laptop with Windows 8. Now after about a month or two after that, we had this new laptop, the router started to turn on / turn off. What this has to do with Windows 8? I have to update the drivers of my router?

Fine thank you. You answered a question I had. Now, I'll go find similar questions we have answered about the light that turns orange and stops flashing. Thank you once again.

  • Wireless does not HELP Please

Just today my wireless worked perfectly no problems at all. And then I'll be back from College 4 hours later and it seems not to work more, I called cisco and they want to charge me to fix it, and I don't have the money for it. I tried reseting the router (by pressing the small button with a paperclip for 30 seconds). And I also unplugged and plugged back in and still nothing. I called my internet provider and my modem works fine (im actually writing this with my laptop plugged directly on the Ethernet modem).  Could you guys help out me? exams are coming and I can't continue to take turns using the internet with other people in my house, and I can't continue to go to the library to study and do homework. Thank you, you have no idea how grateful ill be if this is resolved btw, I have a cisco linksys E2500 series wireless router

If you have an extra ethernet cable, you can reconfigure the router manually. For step by step instructions you can check homesupport.cisco.com. You can also download this Web site configuration wizard.

  • Wireless router not connecting

I have a Vostro 1520 with Windows 7 which does not connect to my wireless router.  I can't use it via ethernet.  I bought a new wireless router and installed but still does not work.  Any suggestions on why this is happening?

    Help, please!

    More info, please.

What happens when you try to connect?  If you get an error message, please provide the full text without paraphrase.

As the Dell Vostro 1520 was originally shipped with Vista with downgrade rights to XP, you must have installed Windows 7 after that you bought.  The computer has already been able to connect to a wireless network, because Windows 7 was installed?

If the answer to the above is Yes, what happened to your system shortly before the wireless capability vanished (installed an update of the driver, used one registry cleaner/tuner; other)?

Can view you wireless networks?  Have you tried to connect to other wireless networks, for example a hotspot free wifi at a coffee shop, etc.?  If so, with what result?

The wifi antenna is turned on? Is the indicator light on the laptop that looks like a tower of radio on?  See http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/kcsarticles/articleview?docid=429969

I think you've got the third-party software installed on your laptop to configure the wireless adapter. Third-party software seems to have disabled the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) Microsoft service. You will need to reactivate it.

Follow the steps below to activate the automatic configuration on your laptop.

    1. Click Start, click Run, type % SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc/s, and then click OK.

    2. double-click on Wireless Zero Configuration.

    3. in the startup type list, click Automatic, and then clickApply.

    4. in the Service status area, click Start, and then click OK.

Software configuration of certain wireless adapters removes the automatic configuration service. If this is the case, you can try this fix by changing the registry value.

WARNING: Editing the registry can be dangerous, use it at your own risk.

    1. click on start - run and type reg. And then click OK.

    2. browse this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\WZCSVC

    3. next, create a DWORD value and name it 'Start' and set it to 2.

    Hi Timstimpson,

It is possible that the Automatic Configuration Windows wireless service is not configured to run at startup.
    Try the following:
    1. click on Start and run
    2. type in the box to run services.msc
3 scroll down and look for the Automatic Wireless Configuration service
    4. double-click on the service and make sure that the Startup Type is set to Automatic

Let me know if it works for you!

But in general a Netgear router is always a good choice... they are reliable, Don t need a lot of power and you can expand your network with these special Nergear '"Externders = range.

  • Unable to connect a wireless printer with laptop computer since the reset wireless router

I have a wireless HP C4580 printer that connects to my Acer Aspire laptop using windows 7. The two have worked together very well for months.  My wireless router stopped working a few days ago, so I had to unplug the device to make it work again is it.  But since then, I can't get my lap top to communicate with the printer now.
I went all the problem of shooting and insured the printer is on line and set it as default printer. I even did a system restore, as suggested in the troubleshooting
With the help of the program are the two messages that I get now troubleshooting
1 that the C4500 series can be contacted via the network (this is the message that I had before the restoration also)
2 the C4500 series is not shared with the homegroup

All the tips are greatly appreciated in progressive simple language as possible as I am a bit useless with computers

I assume that the printer is all first directly connected on the router, then the laptop?  Access the router and make sure that the printer is listed as a "wireless client" connection  If this isn't the case, you should probably restore the wireless "link" between the printer and the router then the printer should work.

  • Live Z10 Z10 WIFI blackBerry to the top of my home wireless router

I have another strange problem with this phone.  A few weeks ago, our always reliable wireless router stop working.  We restarted it and it worked for a while then quite new.  I don't think about it at the time but just before I was trying to get my phone attached to the wifi at home and that's when I noticed the wifi, it wasn't ' work.  I finally gave up.  The next day we rebooted the router and had no problems.  A few days later, I decided to plug in my phone to wifi and all of a sudden, we noticed that he needed for the router to reboot again.  Since then, the only time wherever we had problems when I used my phone in wifi to work but I forgot to turn off barriers go home.  Once I get in the House, the router freaks out and we lose wifi.   Anyone encountered this?  You have any suggestions?

I finally got the phone company to go out and talk about their wireless router.  My phone is no longer live it upward.  I hope just as I don't accidentally mess up someone elses wireless router when I have my WI - FI value phone and receive in the proximity of their wireless router.  When he saw upward, all on the router looks OK, but it clears any access until you turn off the WIFI on the phone then reboot the router.

    All other settings are default.

When I unplug the modem to the router and plug it on the desktop I have internet service.

The connection is also falling only on wired or wireless?

Try to update the firmware on your router.
Connect to the computer with the Ethernet cable to the router.
Download the latest firmware from the site Web of Linksys and save it to your computer. Open the router configuration page. Click the Administration tab and switch to the sub tab upgrade the Firmware through the firmware file that you have already downloaded and update on your router.
After upgrading the firmware on the router, it is recommended that you must reset the router and reconfigure. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 10 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.
