With problems of backup of the files on my Windows Vista computer

original title: backup of files

Should I back up my files because my laptop needs to be repaired and my manufacturer says they will delete all my files when they fix it. Can I do it myself with a plug-in or should I have a professional to do? I don't know I can even do that because even if the power led lights up the screen remains white and it beeps constantly.

Hello

If the screen remains blank and you have the error beep codes that normally indicate a hardware problem, I suggest you take it to a professional to get your data before handing over to manufacturers of laptop for repair.

There is information below in this answer as to how you can recover your data if you are comfortable with the process of making

but it involves opening the laptop

For your information:

to ensure that the beep codes mean you need to know what is the bios of your laptop and then read it as the links below average error codes

http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

Read this on the record of your data:

as you can not start your machine due to a suspected hardware problem you can use a linux-based cd to recover data when there is a problem with your hardware that a linux cd must still use to operate because it uses your laptop hardware to operate: card mother etc.

To save the data:

1 remove the hard drive from the laptop and it slave in another computer

2 buy or borrow a USB disk drive hard case laptop insert in it, then connect the speaker to another computer

Use anyway to try to read the data on this portable hard drive from another computer

    Thank you

You should be able to (I'm virtually certain it's possible) If you have the appropriate permissions or property rights in your Vista partition to allow access of the user of Windows7 or users of Windows7.  It's the way it works with XP and Vista and I suspect that it is essentially the same thing here.  You may need to add the users to the Vista partition/folders/files in Windows7 using regardless of their process (it varies probably Vista so I won't bother posting method Vista to do).

The best thing to do is to follow the advice of Michael Murphy and get help from experts in the Windows7 Forums.

  • Problem of access to the first database created on Vista computer

    Hello world

I have an access problem to the first database, that I created on my Vista computer.
    First of all, my features:

OS: Visa House (I know not officially supported, but I'm optimistic)
    ORACLE: 10g (10.2.0.3 for Vista)

I am able to connect to the database that I created using sqlplus. However,.
When it comes to a connection through other programs or even sqlplus by specifying
the host and port, no luck. Of course, my first suspect was the TNS listener.
(I already made port is open.) On the verification of my services, I see that it
There are total three associated with Oracle:

    OracleDBConsoleexample
    OracleJobSchedulerEXAMPLE
    OracleServiceEXAMPLE

After that, I went to check the logs in ORACLE_HOME/network/log/and it was empty. After
    I checked in ORACLE_HOME/network/ADMIN / (it's all uppercase, I didn't rename it or)
No matter what) and it does not contain anything but sqlnet.ora. Just to be sure that the files are not
hidden from Vista, I checked the folder of the virtual store for both my normal user and the
the admin user and there is no oracle directory in two places.

Now, I'm a bit at a loss, someone at - it something they can recommend?

I know it's may not be really useful... but I uninstalled oracle and re-installed back and it worked like a charm... and also recommed creating the startup database during the installtion of oracle... .the orcl database... it works perfectly... just thought should give you this info...

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

These problems occur because the folders or libraries that you are trying to back up or restore include a reparse point. Analytical points are similar to shortcuts Windows or Unix symbolic links. A point of analysis can be used to point to a file that is moved temporarily to a different drive.

  • Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\music file. Error: (System does not find the specified path. (0 x 80070003))

I had to uninstall iTunes a few months ago and successfully re-installed, but part of my music was missing.   At one point, following the instructions on a thread on the forums Apple or Microsoft, I saved my music library on the desktop. Since then, I do not have a library of music on the desktop file.  In my looooooong hours trying to fix things, I do not know if I deleted it or what.

    Now, I get the message:

"Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\music file. Error: (System does not find the specified path. (0 x 8007003)) "whenever I have backup my computer.

As I understand it, that does not affect really any other files, they rely on the spot (I think), but

HOW CAN I GET RID OF THIS MESSAGE? or what is the cause?  Of course, I could use help in simple English, step by step, as I'm not very techno...

    Thank you!!!

    Hi serene,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

As indicated by the error, this problem appears, when these files/libraries that are saved automatically are not present on your computer. I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it can help solve the problem.

    • Create missing files that are listed in the error message.

      1. In Control Panel, open backup and restore.
      2. In the section back up , click change settings.
      3. In the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.
      4. In the dialog box that you want to save , click Let me choose, and then click Next.
      5. Expand data files, library, expand additional locations, and then click to clear the check boxes folder AppData, Contactsand Research .
      6. Expand computers, expand the element of your system drive (for example, expand Local disk (c)), expand users, , and then click to select the checkboxes AppData, Contactsand Research if they exist.
      7. Click Next, and then click Save settings and exit.
      8. Backup and restore, click back up now to perform a new backup. The backup operation must complete without errors.

If the problem persists, I suggest you follow the steps in the following article for troubleshooting backup problems.

    Hey Amer,

You can ignore this error message. You would usually encounter this problem if the Windows Backup tries to back up files in folders LocalLow, Contacts and research and these files are not present on your computer.

Well, you also have an option to create or exclude files missing, listed in the error message.

If you want to exclude this folder then please refer to the following steps.

    (a) in the backup section, click on "change settings".

    (b) in the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.

    (c) in the 'you want to save ' dialog box, click on 'Let me choose ', then click on 'Next '.

    (d) navigate to the user profile folder displayed in the error message and clear the check box next to the folders.

    (e) save and exit.

    Hope the helps of information.

Photos, music and video are already compressed. They can get larger if Windows tries to compress it any further. Also usually a bad idea to compress system files.

If you have files of worksheet they can very well be compressed. If you have files, installation files, they can also be good candidates. Web pages are also good candidates.
