.wlmp convert .mswmm. :(
I used a Windows 7 operating system and I made a movie in Windows Live Movie Maker, and then I forgot to save it in a movie (avi, etc.). Then I opened it a Windows XP operating system. Can I still open it in Windows Movie Maker? Please help me. :(
Hi KarlAileen,
When you open a project in Windows Movie Maker (.mswmm) file in Windows Movie Maker, your videos, photos and music must appear on the table of storyboard with no problems (as long as the original video files, files, music and photos are in the same location on your computer as they were when the changed record the project file in Windows Live Movie Maker). Any title animations, transitions and effects should play when you open the project in Windows Live Movie Maker, so there is an animation of equivalent title, transition or effect in Windows Live Movie Maker.
Use of Windows Live Movie Maker in Windows Movie Maker projects
To open a Windows Movie Maker project file
(a) click the Movie Maker button and then click Open project.
(b) open the folder that contains the file to Windows Movie Maker (.wlmp) project, and then click Open.
I hope this helps!

You can then use. WMV in many multimedia players or convert to another video format.

Similar questions seem to have been requested several times - but with no satisfatory answer that works for me
I saved a project in movie maker and subsequently he published successfully. I lost the published file and now cannot re - open the mswmm file - he says that it was created in a version of movie maker, which is not supported. How access you the project or convert it to a DVD or other format that I can open? Since the creation of the file for over a year, I transferred to a new laptop. Running XP, SP3 currently and no other problems.
Thank you
