  Premiere Pro CC (V.8.0) extremely slow and crashes during playback. My video will not play unless I make (which is not a problem). I made all my clips and try to read. It usually allow me to watch the first time around. After that, the program hangs or becomes extremely slow. I even had a blank green screen pop up on my screen.   This seems plausible. It's a file "Adobe", and I'm sure that his associates to exactly what its name implies. Make sure you have the latest ATI Catalyst drivers (they are updated every month), and if this does not work, you can try uninstalling and removing one of the cards of the system - which is probably the cause, but unfortunately, you will need to go to these measures in order to test this theory.

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  If you have gone through removal and installation of the drivers and make sure they are all pilots of fixes.  You've gone and made sure all the apps are closed so that they do not have the resources.  You've done everything you can do on one aspect of the software.

  Unless you haven't tried alternative media players.

  Have you updated adobe flash player?

  You click the battery icon, it might be on the power saving mode.

  Management Power Options (Windows 8)

  Search for free media players in google.  VLC is one of those that I use all the time because it has all the codecs.

  I updated my BIOS and Nvidia driver and now video sticks when I play any type of video file. I get any player I use - WMP or VLC. It seems to me that the video driver is the problem, as the files play fine on my old A100 for 4 years!

  Its a recent Windows XP installation of origin as well as all updates (for example. SP2, SP3 etc) so straight to media player 11 with no previous versions.  Videos probably date from before the player.  Codec issue maybe?

  XP did earlier versions of WMP installed & running, go to

  Try in WMP, go to tools, options, look for the "file types" tab, select all, maybe tweak
