  • After you have reinstalled Windows XP, the video settings are not correct

    Original title: parameters viedo

I had to reformat and reinstall XP.  Everything works except for things like graphics, cards and other games and some pictures.  They are very wide and short.   I guess it's something in the video settings defined in landscape mode, but I can't find where.   Can anyone help.

    Thank you

You probably just set your screen resolution to match your monitor.
Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and select 'Properties', then click on the 'Settings' tab at the top.
At the bottom left there is a box of "Screen Resolution."  Drag the marker to change the screen resolution to a setting that matches your monitor...  You determine this by the ratio of the width to the height.  Some common resolutions to the dimensions of the screen are the following:

    4:3 = 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, 1600 x 1200
    5:4 = 1200 x 1024
    8:5 = 1440 x 900, 1680 x 1050
    16:9 = 1280 x 720, 1776 x 1000, 1920 x 1080 (widescreen)

After you change this setting and click on 'OK', the screen will become to this resolution.  It will give you a few seconds to confirm that the monitor can display this resolution. If you see the screen, click on 'OK '.  If your screen is empty, don't panic but just wait 30 seconds approximately and your screen will return.

  • M17x R3 Video Driver display not responding error

In the last 3 weeks this has arisen several times with increasing frequency.  It retrieves either and I can continue to work, it retrieves and then crash on a blue screen then the laptop restarts or the screen goes black and then it goes to a blue screen and restarts. It happens at any time do work in the text editor, script writing, surfing the web and playing games.

It only occurs using the discreet ATI HD6990 graphics card if I have Intel graphics card on it never occurred.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the ATi driver and downloaded the R307094 update for it.  It still occurs.

I uninstalled, restarted run ccCleaner, restarted run driverfusion to remove the unused and reinstalled driver installed by using the update and it still occurs.

I don't know what is left to try and fix that I took the habit of turning card off outside games now, but it hangs when I play games, it can be 10 minutes, 1 hour or it could crash during the session.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I suggested by a friend to uninstall flash and reinstall, which seems to have fixed. As it is in 3 days as it happened today. Were that it used to happen at least once a day.

    Hello

The version of the video driver 275.33 is not an official version of Toshiba. I checked the Web from Toshiba site and for your model of laptop (model PSAR9E number) version 8.16.11.8875 is the most recent. So I recommend installing this display driver because it s pre-tested Toshiba designed for your model of laptop display driver.

    I hope that helps! :)

  • Made final video is low quality and too bright

Here is the link to my original video clip, the video clip in the project and the final copy made everything on my monitor at the same time:

Here is the text of each video when enlarged projected:

The obtained downsised image that makes it harder to see the question, but here are the largest part of the computer:

The final copy is lower quality and way too bright. Noticibly too bright. Own obscurities turn into rough gray, and the quality is noticibly smaller as well. I checked the "use maximum render quality" and I tried to exportiing in AVI and MP4, and nothing is set. Any ideas?

First, what type of file do you need?  If you are looking for the lossless quality then I suggest to export a file with Animation codec quicktime or some other lossless codec.  However, these types of files are huge and that they could not read on your desktop.  But if you go just to put this video on the internet, when you're finished with it then I would suggest starting with one of the Youtube or Vimeo H.264 presets and modify it to match your clip.  It is still not as good as the original, but you can't expect miracles when you work in SD and in exporting to H.264 format, which is a codec very first.  If you want to try to export Quicktime or AVI without loss, and then change the settings so that they get something like this:

  • In Windows Media Player, I can't change the video settings hue, brightness, saturation or contrast.

    Original title: windows MediaPlayer.

In Media Player, I can't change the video settings hue, brightness, saturation or contrast.  When I try to do it by dragging the indicators, they return to their neutral settings when I release the mouse cursor.

    Hi jxw2,

    1. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

If you use Windows Media Player 10 or later version, you can uninstall Windows Media Player. If the problem persists, reinstall then it & check.

If you have Windows Media Player 11 is installed, you can follow this link.

  • Satellite A210 - 11 p connected to the TV - the colors are too bright

Just changed to the top of an A60. I used a TV S-signal with one SCART and it worked fine.

Now on the new computer, the colors are too bright and washed out. I updated the driver but no luck.
In fact, I find the screen on the A210 way too bright and had to calm colors to factory settings.

    Does anyone else find this?

Any idea what the problem may be? I read the posts on the problems of black and white, but I have the color but too bright and washed out.
Wait I got an idea of what the TV has two euroconnectors... on the second SCART, the image is black and white!

How is it it worked well on the old A60. I'm really starting to miss that laptop. :(

I have an A210 and I don t think that the screen is too bright.
Fact is that some of the A210 notebooks are equipped with the real bright screen. This is a new display technology and it s great.
I like it much better as common display without the true light.

On my laptop satellite A210 colors are light and not washed out them. The display is perfect

One question; have you noticed the same problem on the internal and external monitor or TV?

    > Waiting I have an idea of what the TV has two euroconnectors... on the second SCART, the image is black and white!
Several months ago, I connected a laptop to my TV and the picture was black and white. The reason for this problem has been the assignment of pins badly on SCART cable then.
On the other hand, it is possible that your s-video option was not enabled on the TV's.

Thanks for your post Julian and welcome to the forums.

What priority mode are photos taken in? By the looks of the way you explain the pictures, they seem to be most at risk. are washed out image or simply too bright? What are the lighting conditions and the brightness of the environment that the photos are taken in? You should check that your EV levels and shutter and ISO speeds. Adjust them accordingly for the desired shot. The following link gives some tips on how to take special pictures. :

  • Is my monitor - LCD Samsung 172 T - too Bright color manage?

Following the generous advice of forum members, I decided to invest in a colorimeter to properly profile my monitor which is a Samsung LCD 172 T.

However, I read several messages in the forum about monitor light problems. For example - that a monitor should be less than 120 cd/mr2 brightness level to display the appropriate image, and some saying that they cannot set their monitor LCD low light enough.

According to the specifications of my monitor my brightness of the monitor is 250 cd/mr2.  My screen is too bright for a camera of colorimeter to profile correctly?

For a colorimeter device I was considering the eye - one display 2 or the spyder 2 or 3.

    Hi, Tom.

As crazy as it sounds, the manuals which came with two of my monitors absolutely NOTHING say about levels of brightness, max, or min.  I can tell you almost anything else you want to know.  My guess is that you won't have a problem.

Normally, you enter your target settings (white gamma temp, color, monitor luminance, if your software, black and luminance) in your calibration and profiling software and the software then you guide. On most LCD monitors except the most expensive, you really only have an analog control... the brightness of the backlight. The software will ask you reduce the brightness to the desired level and gives you the information when you are there.

Once the brightness of the monitor is together (IE, white luminance), with that software will display a bunch of spots of color values, and your colorimeter read one by one.  When it's done, he'll write corrections to your video card which will adjust to your screen to satisfy your target values and give you accurate color.  It's all part of the calibration.

Then, it will create a profile that describes the range of colors of your screen (limits), etc. Your profile will include a color lookup table or a set of color curves appropriate in any application of color management (Photoshop, LightRoom, etc.).

Calibration is automatically saved on your video card and should remain active until your next calibration of the monitor (make every 2-4 weeks for true colors). The profile will be in the default folder where all your ICC profiles, which differs according to the o/s.

If you cannot reduce the luminance of a correct level, you can download a software that will do it for you.  I didn't need or use this software with one of my Samsung monitors.

  • Photos of airPlay on Apple TV look too bright

    Folds in salvation,

While all the video content crosses very well on my screen of 4 K TV, photos are coming across too bright, no matter what camera I use as a source (iMac, iPhone and iPad). No recommendation for this problem?

    Thank you.

You have not specified what generation TV you use, but it is not really important. I'm not aware of any solution that allows for "by app" brightness adjustment. The only source that you do not list iCloud photo library, but I doubt it would make a difference.

You might just find an acceptable compromise, or use one of the TV set pre-series (movies, sports, etc.) to switch to displaying photos.
