WNDR3400V3-N600 - connectivity problem Windows 10

Hi, I have a new DELL Inspiron (Windows 10) with a 'Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3165"which is impossible to connect to the router N600-WNDR3400V3. Other existing devices like Android, iOS, and printer are connected through the router and work very well. I get the message "Check network requirements" and a moment later get "unable to connect to this network. The wired connection works fine. I have disabled access and even control tried to 'None' security briefly. But, without success. Also connected to an another non-NetGear router wireless connection earlier, which suggests that the problem is specific to the environment of NetGear.

Driver for the adapter - the most recent version Intel (18.20.0.9)
S/w - latest Version (V.1.0.1.2_1.0.51) router

I even stepped back to previous versions of the Intel adapter like 18.12.0.3 & 17.15.0.5, but without success.

Any help is appreciated. TIA.

Found the problem.

Once I had updated the firmware on the router sometimes, back needed me a hard reset of the router. Everything is back to normal now.

This can be closed now.

Thank you Elaine, for your support.

  • Wireless connectivity problems: Windows Vista displays connected to the internet with good signal, but cannot access the internet more than a few seconds.

    Hello

Recently, I brought a Dell with Windows Vista and a Belkin Wireless adapter in my house somewhere else. The computer has never had problems connecting to wireless internet on the other networks, however since the move I was not able to access the internet. Sometimes the network shows only a local connection and not Internet and other times, the network has a strong signal, a network identified and even an internet connection, but when I open any browser, it is only able to load the Google homepage and I cannot navigate anywhere else. I turned off all firewalls and even uninstalled all 3rd party software protection. I checked all my browser settings and made sure they detect automatically the IP settings and proxy settings. In other words everything seems in good shape, but I still have no navigation capability. Any ideas?

It turns out that I had to remove all the old Wireless USB software that had been used previously (there had been other versions of Belkin and Linksys). I then used the computer from my friend to download suitable driver on the Belkin site for the internet adapter USB I used and BAM.

    Hi Harald

Can you please tell us what model of laptop do you have?
Are you using the original version of OS that you got with your laptop?

Maybe I didn't understand the description of your problem, but I imagine that the USB ports do not work on your laptop satellite? Right? have you tested with different USB devices?

    Hi Becky,

For you help I would be grateful if you could answer the following question:

What operating system is installed on the computer?

This could be due to the problem of Windows Mail settings; I suggest you to check incoming and outgoing, settings

    Method 1:

    Solve problems with Windows Mail

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-Windows-Mail

Working with Windows Mail in Windows Vista

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-Vista/working-with-Windows-Mail

Method 2: Temporary deactivation of the antivirus/firewall software and

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Everyone around the Malaysia has problems connecting to Windows Update Server?

For 4 days, I have the problem using Windows Update. Updates is never to download completely, Windows Update will just stop after failing to download the updates.

Then I tried to download updates and apply them manually; VS2008SP1ENUX1512962. ISO (Visual Studio 2008 Sp1) is one of the things that I download. This 800 + MB file I've downloaded 3 times on the Microsoft Download site and they are all corrupt. I got a copy uncorrupted file using torrent finally. There are others who are corrupt as well.

That's why I'm thinking, is there something wrong with the server of Microsoft Update, or the Malaysia connectivity problem? I'm getting an average of 100 Kbps download speed of site except Windows Update - which starts at 30 kbps and after 15 minutes drops to 5 Kbps.

    Hello Siang Hong,

Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

  • I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account.

Connection window Live Mail Hotmail problems

I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account.  I was wondering if anyone knows if this requires a paid subscription to Hotmail.  Microsoft does not explain this.
To configure the POP3/SMTP to Hotmail/MSN/Live.com access accounts in Windows Mail, use these settings:
Make sure that all of your settings agree thereby. If you get an error message, do a right click on your error message, copy, then paste it into an answer here. We cannot do a lot of troubleshooting without the full error message.

To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail accounts. In addition, given that the development of Windows Mail was frozen in July 2006, there no knowledge that Microsoft has enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts in February 2009. Therefore, the Windows Mail Account Setup Wizard is hardcoded to reject the Hotmail and MSN addresses. To work around this limitation, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address, initially, use a fake domain, such as * address email is removed from the privacy *. After the account setup is complete, you can go back into the settings and correct your email address.

This is the mail of the window, it has been upgraded to manage Hotmail.  The error code indicates "connect to the mobile information server end." I came across this problem with Outlook Express similar years when Microsoft decided that Outlook cannot access Hotmail accounts on subscription.  Email client has no connection to Google problem.  Thank you

  • Cannot connect to Windows Vista due to password problem

I have a Dell XPS computer laptop model PP28L and run Vista Home Premium. When I bought the computer I bought in a pawn shop. Of course it was sold with no records at all. No recovery or restore of Windows disks. I have a valid Microsoft "proof of License'for my Vista Home Premium. Should I be reinstall Windows and if yes how I'd get the disks.

    * original title - cannot connect on Windows Vista Home Premium because someone changed my password, deleted my ID of the administrator and the guest connection. I am in the *.

Your only option is to do a clean install of Vista.  There is no free, download of the disk.  Contact the manufacturer of the computer and they may be willing to sell you a set of recovery disks to reinstall the system (but you will need 23 digit product key to activate it in all probability even if sometimes it is not necessary when it is made with recovery on the same computer discs).

Here is Microsoft's policy on software lost: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 you can see is not much help.

If you can borrow an installation disk of Vista genuine of the same size of the bit of ANYONE, you can use that with your product key to re - install the system and start over (you get a new administrator account and set your own password for him - or to leave empty that you choose).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
