Woke up this morning to find Safari almost dead

Looking at the list of complaints and questions from this morning, almost everything I have, apparently, something was terribly wrong with Safari.
Search from address bar does not work, the bookmark / recent tabby-do sites does not work.  Search through the address bar does not work.  The whole thing is so slow that it's ridiculous (even if I did have this crash yet).  It is also noted that Keychain was not passing on the keys as it should.  This has happened for a while though.

Oh!  And the transfer procedure is not no longer works!

Safari is broken. Does anyone know what's the deal?  Maybe we look right on an update?

I don't remember clicking on something like this, but when the thought was interesting.
Apparently, there's a link floating around that crashes Safari.

  • L2206tm: L2206tm screen 'rolling' this morning. Strangest thing.

Woke my computer this morning to find he had restarted and my monitor Center is "random". Here's a video. https://goo.GL/photos/1FPTDQ4osarVPVFY8

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Contact doesn't seem to be affected - touching the top of the screen when the screen is 50% yet "rolled" places the mouse over the available surface.

I unplugged the monitor for a while. Two months later I tried just for laughs, and it works fine. Very cheap repair bill, I guess.

  • There is an envelope with an 'i' next to each of these texts I send. It just started this morning when I sent a text message

I woke up this morning and I send a text message to as usual but this time, after each of these texts, it has an envelope with an "i" icon So why does, the person becomes my texts? And how do I get rid of him?

I think it has something to do with reading reports or non-delivery.  You use the default messaging app?  Are received and reports enabled in the application?

  • This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday but Safari has shown as it should look like, what is wrong?

I currently use version 3.6.24 Firefox on my PPC mac with 10.4.11 system. I use Firefox for many years without any problems. I received yesterday and on my screen to alert that there is a new update of Firefox available at the facility. I clicked on OK and the update started. When it's over, I checked and it's the same version, 3.6.24, I used and apparently nothing has changed until I went to my eBay site. Once on my site, I signed in and went to manage my Articles page. The page was different because normally it shows all the items, I have for sale and at the top of the list of points of sale are the three items to check and look at my listings, which I look at you, my profile and my alerts. When you click on one of them you are normally taken to another page. When I went there after apparent installation of the updated release of Firefox page showed my ads in a single column, my profile in another column and third column for my alerts all on one page. This is not normal. I got out and went to my home page which is http://www.rr.com/. Now it was different. Parts of the site have disappeared, the sections with the weather, news, and reviews. I thought it might be the site and then I launched Safari and went to the same page and it is normal. This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday. Safari has shown as it should look like. I then started SeaMonkey and it showed the page as it should look like. I really like Firefox and I'd like to get it working again as it should. Would appreciate any suggestions. My email address is [email protected]

This morning Thunderbird updated itself and a window pops up saying shortcut to thunderbird does not exist. After that I can't find where it is so that I can run.

Thank you very much. Yes, the problem was exactly the same. Thunderbird executable disappeared after an update. I reinstalled it simply by downloading the configuration file. • Had a strange pop up this morning on a random in sign.

This morning when I woke up, I saw a pop up saying ple ID was used to connect in another part of the world. I don't know her so I clicked to change my password immediately. Hours later, I got a strange email on my account and click on it to see what email address was before clicking on a link and it certainly isn't Apple. When these two things that happened on the same day, is that pop up that I received this morning legitimate? I'm afraid now that a conditioned hacker pop in my phone to see my account information. Note, I'm 10 IOS and my phone did not have a jailbreak done. I could be over reacting, but due to my acct seen my CC on file, I want to be sure I'm safe.

    Hello Glen4X4,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. I understand that you have received an alert of the strange and email on your Apple ID. I know that Apple ID may have valuable information, these questions can be very concerning. Your privacy and security are extremely important. I'm here to help.

The iTunes Store will never ask you to provide personal information or account information sensitive (for example passwords or credit card numbers) by e-mail.

E-mail messages that contain attachments or links to non-Apple Web sites come from sources other than Apple, although they may appear from the iTunes Store. Most often, these attachments are bad and should not be opened. You must never enter your Apple account information on any non-Apple Web site. Apple sites that require account information have apple.com, for example http://Store.Apple.com/fror iforgot.apple.com(with the exception of iCloud.com).

Identification of legitimate emails from the iTunes Store

Change your identifier Apple was a big step. I also recommend notify Customer Support iTunes by visiting the link below

  • I reloaded Firefox this morning and now the HOTMAIL site doesn't load.

After "reloading" Firefox this morning when I try to access my Hotmail account, I just get a blank screen instead of the normal Hotmail Log In screen.

Hi, please follow the instructions under the heading "clear history for this site" of Web sites say cookies are blocked - pledge, making sure that you remove all references to Hotmail.

If this does not work, try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • iPhone hacked this morning 6s

My 6s iPhone has been hacked this morning, while I was using it.  Suddenly, he went to the lock screen, on his own and a message in what looks like the Russian Phonetics was displayed with an e-mail to appleforgot03 at gmail dot com  Swipe right requires me to enter my security code, which I wasn't about to do.  I put in flight mode, immediately changed my password Apple and am now trying resetting factory (I live in a rural area of the northeast of Scotland and there about 4 hours to download the necessary software update).  How does this happen?  I didn't download all the apps from anywhere other than the Apple App Store, my iPhone is not jailbroken and was purchased brand new in November last to three.co.UK.  Two days ago, I put on the Apple site to beta-test the latest version of iOs for iPhone - I beta tested a few BONES and used the official website of the subscription using my own iTunes account, etc.  The only time wherever I've been on a unknown wifi connection in recent weeks has been at the Apple Store in Union Square mall in Aberdeen, Scotland, I used to save my iPhone to iCloud, while I was in the store for a short period.  He has not finished.  If the factory reset does not work I have to get in to the Genius Bar.  I just want to point out this isn't a jailbroken phone, and yet someone has managed to hack.  Clearly, there is a security breach * somewhere * here.

Since it was not jailbroken, then there is no hack, perhaps a spam message.

  • It seems my time machine and external hard drive are wiped clean this morning I started my computer. Is there a way I can know for sure if anything is salvageable?

I started my iMac this morning find a message that I didn't stop my Seagate external hard drive properly. I always just shut down my computer, I do not close the hard drive first. Now the computer says disc is not readable by this computer. Looks like it's a goner but maybe not, I don't know. I can't tell if it's the same thing to my Lacie Time Machine. There are no backups on it. How will I know what to do? Nothing is salvageable?

Try to run a disk utility to repair your disk of TM. It seems that there are 757 GB of backup data it me.

  • Share button in the Finder, Safari and also does not

I have been using the release of El Capitan for a while now, but recently the 'Action' button in the Finder, Safari and other applications when you press to share for example at the post office, leads the application unresponsive, ends up having to be forced to leave.

Can someone help me with what could be the cause?

This procedure will remove some temporary and cache files. The files are generated automatically and do not contain any of your data. Sometimes they can become corrupted and cause problems like yours.

    Please, back up all data.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    /var/folders

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

    Services ▹ Open

the contextual menu.* should open a case with a funny name "records".

Inside 'files' are several subfolders, each with a two-character name. Drag all subfolders except named "zz" to the trash. Do not delete the subfolder named "zz". You will be asked for your administrator credentials.

Restart the computer and empty the trash.

    * If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

  • Screenshots no longer record on El Capitan Office - worked this morning

I'm on an iMac end of 2013, running El Capitan, using a Magic Mouse (wireless) and a wireless Apple keyboard. Until this morning, I could take a screenshot, and it is automatically saved to my DESKTOP.

However, I just had to take a few screenshots, and they weren't on my desk.

I open "finder" and found them in the "All My Files. Not sure why this is happening.

Nothing has changed on my computer, (has not changed any terminal commands or anything like that).

Could someone please tell me how to get my screenshots to save again in my office, and why they have suddenly stopped making this morning

    Thank you.
