Wondered suddenly connect! Can't do it! Dead in the water!

I have a stand-alone system running XP Home SP2. This morning, after both Firefox and IE crashed in the dialog box "save under...". ", I restarted and was invited to"connect to Windows. "I'm the only user and administrator, without password. I hit back and got the message.

«The system could not log due to the following error: invalid access to memory location.» Try again or contact your system administrator. »

I tried again and received this message:

"The system could not log. The server authenticating you reported an error (0xC0000088). You can find more information in the event log. Please report this problem to the system administrator. »

I can't do it by this problem in safe mode, and the NET USER command is not supported in the recovery console.

What happened and how do I do now?

Hello

I suggest you to check with advance startup options, whether you are able to start in safe mode, last known configuration watch etc. If you are able to boot then do a restore of the system from the link below.

a. restart the system and keep tapping F8 until you reach the start menu.

b. Select safe mode or safe mode with network or last good configuration in the list and press ENTER.

  • Dead in the water and stuck to select F1 or F2

Windows xp home edition with Dell Dimension 4300 desktop.  I'm completely stuck on the select line of F1 or F2.  I have reset the BIOS to the latest version A06 and also replaced battery.  While there, has blown sheep of dust from the fan and checked all the electrical connections and cables.  Re-broken in memory.  Luckily, I backed up all the files on a disk before being completely stuck and I have a laptop that I can use.  But I miss my office.  Should I reinstall Windows XP Home Edition?

Primary transmission BIOS 0 said peripheral unknown or sometimes offshore; primary transmission 1 is disabled; secondary drive 0 is the CD-ROM drive and secondary drive 1 is the CD-Rom drive.  Boot sequence is also 1.  Floppy drive 2.  IDE CD-ROM device.  I don't know if these settings are correct, but they are the courses in my BIOS.  I tried e Alt, Alt f and b Alt also.  Any suggestions appreciated because I am dead in the water.

It is always best to do a clean reinstall and not a recovery or repair install, your manual should have instructions and you don't want to do a reinstall on a bad drive, here are some sites that you can check.

  • All of a sudden, I can't print an information page - the statistics of my site.

I have a personal Web page hosted by IPage - lynnesgenealogy.com. I get monthly statistics of visitor on this page. For the last two months, I got a terribly large number of hits (over 20,000) on my site of Asia (more trace of China and the Japan IP addresses, but not all). During the outbreak of this issue with IPage I discovered I can print is more statistics page, as I have in the past. I deleted all cookies, cache, history, etc., etc. In Explorer, I can only print one page (the report is several pages long) at a time - but in Firefox I get a blank page. What's the story?

"This frame" doesn't appear in the menu when the page you are clicking on a framed page. So you won't see it most of the time.

There are two types of framed pages:

    • Traditional: The server sends a frameset page instructing the browser to load individual pages in different parts of the frameset do to the top of the entire page. AWStatus uses a traditional set of frames.
    • Online: the page contains a rectangular area which incorporates a completely different page. When you see a YouTube video embedded in a different site, it's usually by an inline frame or 'iframe '.
  • TRIED TO INSTALL VISTA SP1 NOW I'M DEAD IN THE WATER

I am running Vista Home Premium 32-bit on a Dell desktop computer. A month ago, I came across a few major problems with my computer.  I couldn't get out of safe mode, programs are not run properly, blah, blah.  With a lot of help, I finally could get all back to what I thought was normal.  I ran antispyware, antimalware & and with other tweeks & fixed I have not noticed problems for about a week.

So last night while on the computer, I got the message that Windows is ready to install an important update.  It was SP1.  I usually wait until the middle of the night & let Windows automatically install the updates but I thought why wait, then I started the installation.  He said that it could take several hours, I went to bed and I forgot about it.

This morning I wake up to see that the monitor is all black except for a single line of printing:
    !! 0xc01a001d! 37354/98242 (\Registry\Machine\components\derivedata...)

This printing line flickered sort of as he wants, but he was stuck.  I failed to continue or stop so I finally did what was once called an illegal arrest... I don't know if there is a new term for this, but I think you know what I mean.  When I turned my computer back on, I got the message that something caused my computer do not close properly, perhaps a new program or software, and he suggested that I have let Windows find & try to fix the problems.  I clicked on that and the blue bar began to run through the progress window.  He says that it can take several minutes.  Well 2 hours later nothing had changed.  He was always doing exactly the same thing.  He wouldn't let me cancel so I let it run half an hour.  Then I finally made another "illegal stop."  When I turned the computer back on I chose normal startup to the top even if the computer suggested I have start the repair program.

Now I know whence the line of print that I mentioned before.  The screen was black except that it begins to show all the things that are installed on the computer.  At least, I guess that's what it is.  It was like when your computer is running antispyware or something & all files are being checked.  In any case, it's exactly the same thing that what I pointed out, it was on my computer first thing this morning except that it stopped at 28599/98242.  He has not moved or changed except it flashes as he wants to spend but cannot.

What is the cause & do - what do I do about it?  Trying to do a system repair did not work & I can't get the computer starts normally then now what?  SP1 is installed on our laptop with no problems.  The only difference is that I let it install automatically.

Please help before I have eventually throw the top of desk by the window!

    Sandee

    Sandee,

    David advice was correct.

Read all the info on the link below.

You need to download the ISO file, I talked to the computer on which you post here, not the broken one!

It is a repair disc you need to do from this ISO file:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

If yours falls into the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

It's a very good Vista repair disc.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Dead in the water

    Equipment:
Gateway NV57H, purchased new laptop, 8 GB memory, Windows 7 x 64 (OEM version, I guess, came installed on the new computer in 2010 MS sticker on the bottom with the product code) also came with Office 2010 student and something thing-or-other (not Outlook)

    The problem:
I have an Office 2010 Suite of all kinds, excluding Outlook. Outlook 2003 is installed separately from 5-6 years. Outlook locked some yesterday, nothing but problems now. I have resorted to a system restore to a point, two days earlier, but after the restoration of the system, received a message that it could not start up. I received a message to solve the problem using a choice of several recovery methods, the only one I had for me was the system recovery DVD 5 discs that I was asked to do when I bought the computer new. The first records of three recovery went well, with the prompt to insert the next disc, etc. But when I inserted the disc 4, nothing happened. After 10 hours of nothing happens (at this time they say has been updated of the files, it was still on the 1% that it began to leave and still do nothing)... anyway, not knowing what to do I arrested him, hoping to be able to start the recovery process. No dice. The situation is now at the point, if I turn on the computer, it tries to start, but not a enough of the OS to do it, so that it stops and resumes restarts, again and again. So my question is, can it be fixed or I'm SOL?

Try a factory restore.  In your case keys Alt + F10 at startup.

If the partition is still there, it should replace the contents of your disk in its entireity with a double précis of what was on him when he left the factory.  No product key required or install disk if it works for you.

  • Help me... Does not install, won't clean up.  Dead in the water

Only works with google chrome and not a pdf file preview in windows Explorer.  Chorme has been uninstalled in anticipation of this problem being cleaned.  There are remnants in locallow and roaming but no exe.  What is the manual method of cleaning it so I can install again?

Incorrect answer.  It turns out that Acrobat Reader XI was the

problem.  This has probably stuck when an attempt is made to install

Acrobat Reader DC, who has been having problems with windows

Preview pane of the Explorer.  This deletion process is different.  I found that

you need to scroll to locate the removal of Acrobat Reader XI

tool.  Users who have problems with the installation should run two removal tools

due to problems that might occur when users try to install

    Acrobat Reader DC.

I had the system cleaned and installed Acrobat Reader XI and

everything now works again.  DC is for cloud computing which was

the origin of evil.  System performance has gotten a lot better

    After got rid of him.

  • PowerEdge C1100 dead in the water...

    Hello PowerEdge general HW Forum:

My C1100 is in a solid error condition. When is powered by plugging in, turns on, but the system is not responding. The power switch on the front panel is not working. The malfunction orange/orange light is on and the blue system ID led is lit on the front panel. The BMC do not boot or system. I went through the steps listed in the owner's manual in order to remove all hardware except for the motherboard I did not spare any currently of troubleshooting. Any ideas? System consists of standard C1100 with four slots hdd SATA 2 with a filled, 2 Xeon processors and ram, 72 GB (18x4mg). During the last inspection of the system with BMC all (fans, temperatures, voltages etc) seemed to be nominal. Thanks for all your comments!

    lnelson15

Hey thanks for the reply. Too late for this one I returned it to where I got it. This box was as we say 'HOSED '. The only way of
Get you to start or do anything to plug into AC. At that time, the power supply fan would come on, the malfunction and lights the system ID led will be on and the power supply fan would go but there was no power to the system that food has not obtained the power_good signal # of the
system on board so it would just sit... for hours until that unplug you the unit (I could jump the power_good # anchor in the connector 24 pin and turn on the power supply with a paper clip to ensure that food was good). Also the switch power light is not lit or flashing (as it is for the BMC to start). All the switches and buttons if unusable reset permanently. On all 8 time or while I plugged it the power would come for a reason, fans would come on wide open as it's correct when they have no control of the BCM, the fault and system ID lights would come on and the power light would come on but the power switch would be ineffective because the BMC has does not start. It would also sit like that for hours (or until we couldn't listen to the fans more) until this that unplugged. Believe me, I looked for any sign of activity of the BMC from (this is what is happening on the minute or two until the BIOS starts the POST) or BIOS.

For me, the worst, it was Dell indicated that they were going to cover the case, until I had them sending me a Council system when shipping guys who send the discovered parts the box I bought was provided by a group within Dell somehow involving Dell Financial and the so-called guarantee was not guaranteed at all. That's why the serial number (DNJQQL1) would not work to any Dell Web sites. At this point, I would have to put this somewhere taboo system map in someone unmentionable. Sorry, but that left me funky for a day or two. I am okay now that it is just an inanimate object and fortunately we are driven. I just got to the training anyway. He didn't charge up to version Windows Server 2012 Datacenter no problem as well as a copy of the same in Hyper-V before other problems to become inoperative.

Here's what one I had looked like but mine was usually the fairing of ventilation in place. This image came from an ebay store sells more than one of these servers. They are falling like dominoes, now data centers and operations are trying to recover part of their costs. That's why they are sold in the range of $500-600 for a housing and even less in quantity.

    Glad you come back your!
