Since the upgrade to Sierra I can't save a Word of MS Office 11 doc on my iMac.
I left / restarted / safebooted / tried to save to Documents / tried to save it as a .doc, all to nothing done.
All other operations look good, like the rest of the suite Office.

How can I get rid of the words on my lock screen
OK so I did the last update on my iPhone 5 and now, under the date on the lock screen, there are letters and words that are not really make sense. I guess that my child put them there. I looked through all the settings I can think but cannot find them to get rid of them. Does anyone else have this problem or
I know how to fix it? Also, can I change the fact that I now have to hit my button twice to put in my code to access at home? It's rather annoying.

Following the upgrade, I find the touchpad works do not smoothly with word and PowerPoint, all programs work as well as before. No idea why and what we can do about it?
There are 3 versions of Microsoft Office that work with Sierra, 2008, 2011, and 2016, which one do you use?
Can we assume that you have restarted your Mac since the upgrade to Sierra?

In your example, I can't tell what you are trying to do.
I'll assume that the word "cat" is your difficulty. If you have each of the letters in an individual text box and then select all and choose align > way. If the letters are not text boxes you have set "basic" for the letter t and maybe "character spacing" to the other letters. Enter these words in the help.

Don't hold the s or I or other key too long.
When you hold down too long, you will get a screen pop up with characters / diacritics.
Maybe you should clean the keyboard?

Not recognized by Word or Photoshop photo library
Work on a MacBook and recently installed Sierra 10.12. Everything worked fine until all applications 3rd party such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, (office 11 14.6.8), Photoshop Elements 10 has ceased to recognize the new photo library. iPhoto and photo booth developed but not the photo library itself. The actual program pictures works fine. I also see the library by email and online (as a download on shutterfly). 2 hrs with tech does support last night and 3 people later no resolution. Reinstalled Sierra. No change. Everything is updated.
Just weird it was working one day then stopped working the next day.
Any suggestions besides to annihilate the entire disk?
How you are trying to access your photos? Directly (which is not possible) or by using the media browser?
a work around is to export the photos (menu, file == > export) to a folder on the desktop and use there

Pages export to Word using the model of NEWSLETTER, issue 1 of page spacing
QUESTION: Anyone know if model NEWSLETTER (and or Museum Brochure) correctly export to .docx and how delete images or change the text boxes using these models so that I am still able to export properly?
I used the NEWSLETTER model, whose Pages can export to .docx and then import to .docx (I don't know if that Word can do, but Pages indicates it would be).
Problem: after the header of the newsletter, I removed the photo and have floating only the areas of text underneath. I have two pages, the 2nd page export perfect (a page break separates it from the first). On the first page, there are 12 small boxes in two columns under the heading who generously and easily fit on the first page. It is not unlike the model I have, however, but with no photos. I've seen many templates use these 'boxes' in support of the columns of text on a page, I don't think the floating box would be a problem. However, I like the wish of floating boxes to learn how to use them so that they "work".
I saw immediately that the text boxes, I added, when export and imported .docx, lose their place and float under the heading (NEWSLETTER) (superimposed text, bad page layout).
I noticed the paragraph (carriage return, Enter) symbols, while I moved around text boxes, had become interlaced between the boxes, but not all - 1/2 at the bottom of page. I then noticed that attempt to remove the superfluous paragraph runs in .pages (after repositioning all the boxes), but aggravated .docx, also the Pages do not leave even to remove the first symbol (it mystifies me, because the models do not appear to use paragraph at all except inside the floating boxes).
Finally, I added enough symbols paragraph so that there was a conflict between each text box, but not as much as Word decide to add a blank page. I had to make sure the columns are too wide - they should be 1/4 "part we will tell. THAT APPEARED TO WORK. Pages exported and imported it point by point I was happy.
But when my Advisor job achieved and open in Word (the one for Windows 7), the SAME problem, I had before setting the transport returns appeared: the two decoders or four are overlapping the title, and set the person must have inserted transport returns before the first text box to move it all down (which seemed to work - but failed as an export and no not to use practice later). Well, we have said for years in this community if you want stressless, architecture native document exchange with Windows Word users that you need to use the most recent Word available on the Mac.
Pages is not a clone of Word, and Apple does not guarantee that the open translation process / export from/to the architecture of document Word will remain faithful to the original of the document formatted.
In response to your questions:
- If you have document objects in a model with x on their border, and then the object is locked. You visit the tab Pages to reorganize v5, and downstairs you can unlock these objects for further editing, or deletion.
- It is advice that we can give here will make sure Pages exports specifically to the word he already did not. The logic of translation is connected to demand, and it is the price of roulette.

Apart from just let Pages itself perform hyphenation for you, by activating the break in the Document Panel in the v5.6.2, Pages you must be aware of the two types of special characters:
- Nonbreaking space (option + SPACEBAR)
- The string "this word" (without the quotes) that contains a non-breaking space will end at the next line.
- Nonbreaking hyphen (control + command + SPACEBAR) followed by:
- search for U + 2011 is your non-breaking hyphen
- Double-click the hyphen nonbreaking to insert into the Pages to the beam of insertion.
- The string "hyperactive-hyphen" will wrap the entire string to the next line and does not break on the hyphen.
- Nonbreaking space (option + SPACEBAR)

copy/paste crash Word and other applications
Since the upgrade, I am not able to copy a large amount of text from Word to any application - it blocks of Word and the target application. Small pieces works well. Copy and paste different applications often translates into collage nothing.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I disabled handoff, restarted - nothing helped.
What version of Word are you running?
I 15.15 Word and PowerPoint 15.13.4 15.13.4 Excel installed. and not noticed problems with these versions of the Sierra. If your version is older, try if will help update.
