  Hello. I have a HP CP3525n. There is no seeing or the answer whether when I connect to the ethernet port on the printer. The original formatter Board is CE859-60001.

  I ordered a new one at HP, CE859-60002, but I guess it should be entirely compatible even the chips on it have the same model. There is still no light from the Ethernet port, after the use of different cables which work fine on my PC.

  I've updated the firmware to the latest version (via USB cable). I printed the entire tree for the printer and I see not all parameters associated with the networking (usually have access to them on the network).

  I don't have an EIO card, but I suppose it should not be necessary (?). There is a small sign on the back of the printer that I can open to peak inside the printer to see the internal Board, nothing look damaged, but perhaps its something in there that is damaged causing the Ethernet to not work even with a new trainer Council?

  I solved the problem, it was very easy. Just had to hold the "Check" button while the printer is switch on and wait three led flash, then on LAN on-board.

  Now, I'm having a problem with a HP 4250. It has a Board which have no ethernet. I traded with another Board that performs on the first boot I think the built-in JetDirect menu. But he has been on static IP so I switched it to DHCP, then transformed it works. Next time, it lit, the built-in JetDirect menu disappeared. Even the secret menu at the start of the printer, there is no option to turn on the LAN. Even the Ethernet port is turned on.

  I have the HP 4250 updated to the latest firmware from here and it doesn't help. I have a feeling that this firmware has no network feature perhaps?

  Navigate to the location of the programs .exe file and right click on the .exe file, and then select run as administrator to install the modem.

  Problem solved.  It was a mistake of the printer at the origin of the problem.

  I realize that no one can make that decision for me, but I would greatly appreciate feedback from users than me.

  I've been running Win XP on an old Dell these past seven years, and it's time for a new laptop. Am on the Lenovo site now, customize a W530 before buying.

  Win 7 or Win 8? That is the question. Lenovo offers Win 7 free of charge, and I have read and heard that the OS is stable and mature.

  Or should I take the plunge of Nestea and go with Win 8? Outside the intuitive learning curve, are there other reasons for delaying the inevitable?

  I should add that I'm not big on upgrading the operating system during the life of the machine. Everything that comes with this laptop, it's what I'll probably use for the next six or seven years.

  Windows 7 will be an easier transition, so I recommend that. At the time where you should update the W530, Microsoft will have its model OS subscription full swing and at least most of the questions that people currently have with Windows 8 will have been worked.

• Themes suddenly stopped working after trying the new theme

  I installed a theme in TB and it looked nice, so I decided to try it in FF36.04. It worked, but when I tried to go back to my old theme (same author), it did not work and the area became top black with just the usual text. I tried to go back to my old theme (same author) that has worked well for years. When I went to modules. themes, it enumerates the different themes, but doesn't display photos. If you go to the specific page of the theme (by modules) it doesn't show the author's name and the theme as well as the button disable/remove, no picture or any other detail. It is the same for all themes.

  I tried adding a new topic randomly and it worked and displays the image on the themes tab, but others do not always work. They show different colors if I activate different themes, which I assume is the background. I tried all the usual things, which dates back to default (seems OK), tried to restart FF, laptop computer reboot, etc., but nothing don't is my old theme back I've had for years.

  Because a new theme worked, I could probably delete all my old themes and go and download them and install them again, but something went wrong and I would like to fix everything what it is, rather than leave perhaps a hidden problem.

  Any suggestions?

  • • • Edit - just updated to FF37.0.1 and no change. I have however noticed that the theme I've tried to add to the original (that when the problem started) is not actually in the list of themes! It worked in the beginning, it was when I went back to my old theme that the problem started.

  It's the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref that stores Persona data in JSON format, so it's probably OK because this implies a good amount of data, especially if you have a lot of lightweight themes installed.

  Firefox puts images of Persona as lightweighttheme-head and foot of page-lightweighttheme in the Firefox profile folder (default).
  The images will be resized and copied to the lwtheme folder and delete files in this folder to make Firefox to use a new character.
  The pref lightweightThemes.usedThemes must be true to make Firefox uses images of Persona.

  You can check the image files and you can possibly try to copy lightweighttheme-head and foot of page-lightweighttheme in the Thunderbird profile folder to the Firefox profile folder if they work in Thunderbird.
  You must remove the current files in the folder lwtheme to regenerate the files that will be used by Firefox.

• JavaScript bookmarklet does not work in the blank new tab

  I use the Quixapp javascript bookmarklet (which opens a dialog for a variety of web shortcuts). I have Firefox start page the value empty. The Quixapp bookmarklet works great over any page, including the Firefox "home" page and a new blank PAGE, but it does not at all in a new empty TAB. If I order - click on the bookmarklet from Quixapp (it's in my toolbar) and open it in a new tab, it works very well, even when I do that to a blank tab where it does not otherwise. The behavior is the same in safe mode.

  You can set the new tab page to about: Virgin by changing the pref browser.newtab.url on the topic: config page.

• WIFI does not work on my brand new Satellite L50T-B12W

  I just today received my Toshiba Satellite up, but Wireless does not.

  I have a similar machine and everything works perfectly. Please check the F12 key. I think he must have the symbol WLAN, right. When you press it and get flight mode on message on the upper left corner of your wireless network card is disabled. When you press F12 and see flight mode off-message your wireless network card is enabled.

  Also check the networks option. Make sure that airplane mode is disabled and WiFi option is turned on, so you should be able to pick up all the available networks.

  A little, I have a problem with my new laptop if not satisfactory.
  The only thing that does not work (except some progs) in Vista is out of my tv.

  After many hours spent trawling the net, I came across different solutions, but none worked.
  The A100-812 has a geforce Go7600 who has taken TV svhs.
  First, I tried to connect to my tv through my old cinch cable. It took me 2 days before I gave up and bought a new svhs cable. Cable that works now and after a hell of a lot of attachment,

  I finally have a working tv. Except that its black and white. I used the click right-> NVIDIA Control Panel and changed the signal. I live in the Netherlands, where B/PAL is the standard. But even in trying all the different types of signals I don't get any color.

  Someone else has had this problem and solved? I downloaded the nvidia latestet drivers and I'm desperate, I bought the laptop to make it work!

  the problem is that the nvidia drivers are still not final. I have an A100 and desktop system and two systems have problems with tv output. It s Yes, probably a clear driver problem.
  After many surveys, I found many comments in the forum of nvidia, where users are desperate and angry about this issue.
  Thus, the only choice is to change XP up to what nvidia will release some drivers work... that s my way.

  You should call your provider of choice for 3G and get their specific set up details... There are several different possible configurations of 3 G and you certainly need to manually enter some parameters of logins to realize 3 G connectivity.

• Programs stopped working properly on my new Windows 8.1 Pavilion

  I recently bought a HP Pavilion with Windows 8.1, and it was fine for several days until that one day almost all of my programs stopped working. Browsers will open and load the new tab, but then appear not to respond. All my games or their pitchers will start but will then stay here and won't do anything. If they have a progress bar, it will be 0%. I managed to open a game player single steam but the game itself closed to the time wherever I tried to start playing. Some RTS a few years ago was the only thing that still worked.
  My anti-virus software (McAfee) also will not open, but I see in the task manager that there a lot of processes running. The percent use of my CPU, memory, and disk were not overloaded either. I was not at all the sites that Web of Trust have not scored green so I doubt that it would be a virus, even if the main computer on my home network has some nonsense on it.

  Welcome to the HP Forum.

  I'm not sure what the other computer on your network has to do with your new laptop - unless they have both started to get into trouble at the same time - in which case I suppose it's possible that there is an infection or incompatible Update shared by both computers.

  It looks like the system may indeed be infected - or at least could have been assaulted with a bad update.

  System restore

  You can try using system restore - if you can find a usable restore point, i.e. a date you can return before the problems started.

  It is sometimes easier to start over if you don't know what to do next and your diagnoses and anti-virus tools stop working.

• printer scan works only with the new windows 7

  upgrade windows xp to windows 7 with the new HP Omni 220PC. Have a printer HP C309g-m. To scan from the printer to the computer xp, I had to use the HP Solution Center. The printer works very well with the new windows 7 program and new computer. I install wireless. No problems with it. Today when I went to scan a document with the HP Solution Center (I thought I had to use as before), this message came.

  "HP Solution Center cannot work because your device installation is not complete. Please connect the usb cable, or rerun the installation for a network installation cd. If it does not complete the installation, or you do not have the cd, access the HP help files by clicking on the start menu. "Everything I did. My installation CD said I had a version of the latest update on the installation CD, it was of no use. I went to the HP site and find a download for the drivers updated etc. I downloaded and installed. (although I don't know whether or not it was a duplicate of the drivers of devices on windows 7 for this.) I checked Add/Remove programs to make sure that the printer and the hp solultion Center have been added to the programs. they are listed. I can always scan with

  the hp Solution Center. Should I not this program to scan with this new pc? How can I scan from my printer now?   all fixed. has crossed my computer to start then click HP click HP and open list. Went to my printer-clicked on my printer and clicked on the icon list to see if it worked correctly. This is a problem with the drivers and a box popped up with directions on where and how to download and install the devices for windows 7.
  Done this and tested it and everything works fine now. (Ihad already tried the HP site for support and downloaded and installed the fix suggested for the problem, but it did not work). in any case, its fixed and I hope that if someone has a problem, this information will help you.
