  Hello! There is a problem with my Dell place Pro 11. The Tablet does not work in conjunction with a docking station with a keyboard with battery docking station. The problem with the docking station, is only the work of power and audio connector. More is running, no ports (HDMI, USB, LAN). The problem with the keyboard, the touchpad and keyboard do not work.   I am considering the purchase of Lightroom, but wanted to run my script by the group to see if it works for me.

  I have a desktop at home and at work, in addition to a laptop that I use when the place. The laptop is only used to unload the memory cards and do organize basic, not image processing.

  At home, I have a database of image (XnView) that I use to organize my files, and then go to the bridge to convert my RAW TIF files. When I did work on my images, I use Beyond Compare to synchronize my internal image with an external drive. Outside we're going with me both as a backup, but that allows me to do more editing on my schedule for dinner. Any changes to the work is then synchronized to the internal drive to the House.

  At home, the internal drive is designated as H (I use Windows) while the outside is the G drive. At work, when I plug the external hard drive, I put to come as the H drive. In this way, the files of database for XnView, residing on both internal and external, discs are loaded and XnView is none the wiser. OK, so that was a long introduction to my questions...

  First of all, if I use Lightroom, can I use it on multiple computers as long as I use it never simultaneously on more than one?

  Second, if I save the catalog on the internal H drive home, and then synchronize on the external drive, Lightroom to work just start and play these files of database unconscious because it is now an external hard drive?

  Just to add. I use LR on two machines (sometimes three), there is no problem with the license, there is no activation and LR is designed for the Pro who obviously needs to be mobile. The images in the catalogue are on an external drive. These are also saved on my studio machine. The catalogue is also on the disk external and also duplicated on both computers. and saved on separate hard drives.

  I work from the catalog on disk external when working on the top of the Tower in the studio, or as appropriate on machines borrowed in the field. Some would say that a catalog runs slower on an external drive. While the construction of previews, recording of the xmp data (or in my case direct to DNG) and import are a little slower with the help of an external drive, there is not slowing the work of real treatment.

  No, this isn't a plausible scenario, the two operating systems use different file systems, Windows 7 uses NTFS and Ubuntu uses ext4.  Even if they use a common file system, it would still not be recommended.  If you have enough free space on the disk, you can shrink the partition, and then create a new partition on free space for Ubuntu, note that it still may be a bit difficult to implement correctly, you must have a knowledge base of the operation between the MBR and the boot so that it works correctly on the same hard disk.

  Have you considered installing Ubuntu in a virtual environment in Windows 7?  I think that this may be a better option.  Personally, the engine virtual without going I prefer VirtualBox , but some prefer VMware Player , which is also very popular.

  I have a scanner Canon Canoscan 3200f requiring drivers for it to run. Win7/64 will not work with 32-bit drivers and when I tried to use the Microsoft Virtual PC and XP mode, it still leaves not the drivers install. What I've read, Canon, Epson and HP not fix ALL the 32-bit drivers on 64-bit (and how long it has been since XP Pro/64 came out?).

  My PC is based on a mobo Gigabyte running an AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5400 + Black Edition CPU and 4 GB of RAM.

  VMWare will allow material that requires and has only 32-bit drivers to install and operate? I want to run Win7 Pro, XP Pro and Ubuntu 9, the last so I can try to support my daughter recently built PC Ubuntu. Right now I'm trying to decide between VMWare Server, Virtual Box and 3 partitions on a 500 GB SATA drive.

  Since the host operating system that is running Server 2.x has no need for drivers, you should be able to have a 64-bit OS host (note that no office of operating systems are officially supported as guest operating systems and he attended problems reported with guests from Vista x 64 stuck at 95% at the start and it was not a version 2.x Server since Win7 is around) and then a 32 bits comments which, as long as it has a USB inside virtual adapter, should access the device to USB host ok.   See make a library of portable split. You will need either a for OS X NTFS driver or driver for HFS + for Windows in order to use the drive with an operating system. Also note that there is a delay when you first launch after passage of one BONE to the other.

  I see that disable the plugins is not permanent - restart the browser allows all the plugins again - did not see how to remove the plugins...

  OK, I have disabled all plugins except the 2 (adobe flash and shockwave)
  then I disabled javascript. It works!

  I have re-enabled Javascript and page breaks. Looks like the site's bug.

  Some thing funny - without reloading the browser - I went in plugins/Add-ons- and they were all turned on again. With Javascript turned off that the site works.
