Working on powerpoint slides with exciting write

Hi people,

Proud owner of a tablet with exciting write to little more than 1 month I am trying to gradually transfer most of the tasks that I perform to work on my Windows PC to my Tablet while I no longer need to carry this huge 17-inch screen when they travel!

E-mail and note-taking are a blessing, but still have a major problem with powerpoint slides.

Whether QuickOffice ot ThinkFree, I can't find a way to consolidate the multiple. PPT presentations into a single presentation using these Office Android apps.

I tried Thinkfree support but their response was a joke :(

All help much apreciated.
See you soon

Sorry mate but I put t know what assistance you expect exactly here in the forum.
Android applications are not developed by the manufacturers of tablets.
Some are preinstalled on the shelves, but most of them you will find in Google PlayStore and making the app is responsible for the functionality of the application and development.

It seems that thinkfree mobile provides little other office applications:
https://play.Google.com/store/apps/Developer?ID=ThinkFree%20Mobile&hl=en

Also in the Google game shop, you will find other Android apps with office functionality and other features.
Maybe you should check out and try the apps like OfficeSuite 7, Quickoffice Pro or Kingsoft Office

I think that tablets are very useful devices supports lots of features and in different applications, you could do a good job, but my personal opinion the table will not replace a laptop completely.

  • LaserJet 8500n, won't print documents word with embedded powerpoint slide

I have a Color Laserjet 8500N, running Windows 7 and Office 2007. I don't get an error message, but if I try to print a word document that contains an embedded PowerPoint slide, the system will 'stop to never-never land' I tried printing as part of a larger document and tried to print on a single page.

The printer memory has been expanded to 256 MB, with plenty of space on the internal hard drive.

It doesn't bother me in itself, but my boss starts to get upset a little bit about it.  As a result, it has become MY problem.

  • CP8 Interactions and slides with audio and closed captions - doesn't work well - please help

Well, I use cp8 on a 64-bit windows computer 8. I placed an interaction on a slide. I have also audio on this slide and closed captioning.

When I get to the slide, the audio is not because the mere fact that the interaction is there made the slide one break to enter. The student should I click play on the Player bar to go, but which is not required on slides without interactions, so I don't like this solution. I could also make a slide on enter play Audio and choose the wav file, but then the subtitles are not displayed.

So the question is, how do I slide automatically play the audio level of the blade without the student having to click on the play button to go? Slides with interactions should behave exactly like the other slides with objects/widgets on them. This automatic suspension thing is driving me crazy!

    Thank you

    Lori

Lori, this is confusing! You're talking about one of the learning interactions included with Captivate? If Yes, which? My amazement is due to the fact that what you described, it is what has happened to the COP6: interaction paused to slide to the first image (I got a work around for audio). But given that CP7 interactions do not hang any slide, you will need to provide the break yourself. There are a few exceptions closely (games).

  • Auto contrast/brightness on Toshiba excited write

    Hello!

I have a problem with my new Tablet Toshiba excited write.
I disabled the auto brightness, but I see constantly changing the brightness/contrast in any case.
If I understand correctly this is a technology from Toshiba which is supposed to do.

On your page on the Tablet, it says:
    http://www.Toshiba.co.UK/laptops/tablets/excite-write/

+ "Features Toshiba excited write a resolution PixelPure WQXGA 2560 x 1600 screen for movies, pictures, web pages and games with definition of clarity and dynamic. The display of a capacitive touch screen HD 25.7 cm (10.1) with scratch-resistant glass provides wide view angles and control precision, * while our exclusive technology adaptive screen adjusts the brightness and contrast to the surrounding light product.* «+»

How can I disable this function?

    Thank you
    Fredde

You can use the quick settings for frequently used settings.
Press on & keep the status icons area until a flashing line appears. Then slide down the line to open the quick Control Panel.
You should see the brightness option. Tap to set the brightness of the screen.

Also, in the power management settings, you will be able to set up profiles to individual.
Here, you can set the brightness of the screen too.

  • Print PowerPoint presentations with comments on the PDF Pages

Does anyone know when the fix will be released to fix the problem with printing PowerPoint presentations with Notes Pages to PDF?

It seems he does not intend to solve this problem. If you need to print a bigger slides PowerPoint 2016 game with pages of notes in PDF format, you can use the Microsoft Print to PDF driver. It works without problem, but the PDF file size will be much larger that that would have been created with the driver Adobe PDF (if we could). If the size of the PDF file is a factor, you can print portions of the PowerPoint document with pages of comments (say-1-25, 26-50, 51-75, 76 100) for the separate PDF files. You can then combine PDF files into one file.

  • Import of MS Powerpoint slides to Captivate

Anyone know why I cannot import MS Powerpoint slides in Captivate? The option is out ghost under file > import > PowerPoint presentation. I'm building a sensitive project classroom and tried to import a Content Slide that I formatted with a style of master. As a work around, since there are only two PowerPoint slides, I opened in Adobe Photoshop and turned them into jpg. Then I have those in my slide of content placed side by side. Two bad that I can't manage to put a Powerpoint presentation that would leap upward in a separate window. PS. There are things on Captivate that seem really basic to me, but I want to make a more robust program. Thank you!

Please use PNG, not with JPEG compression if you want quality. I would NEVER start a PPT for a sensitive project (and rarely for an empty project). A great presentation tool is not a tool of e-Learning good, certainly not if your focus is on mobile devices.

I wanted to add that if you still want to import PPT-Slides into a normal (empty) project, you can use a custom slide template. Import PPT will always need the blank slide that must be empty (except for background color later). That Blank Master slide is also necessary for any simulation software.

It is not only for the conversion to the SWF format that you can not import PPT into a sensitive project, but also because every PPT slide has a fixed resolution, projects of nature reactive need to have a dynamic resolution, as well for the slides and objects. It's one of the reasons for the Panel properties of Position is so important for projects of a reactive nature, and the leaders have a default value of % instead of pixels.

  • PowerPoint model with CVI theme...

Okay, I think it's a stupid question, but it could save me time.

I'll give a long presentation of LabWindows/CVI and I wonder if there are some model (or white or simple) powerpoint file with LabWindows/CVI/theme colors I could borrow. I don't like to waste my time doing this kind of design tweaking, call me lazy

I'm not aware of a model, but an example of a slide OR official can be seen in this video of NOR

  • Slide with several digital poster Down filter event Bug button?

A key event filter on a slide with several digital screens down does not work as expected when not waived. If you for example tab of this slide with two digital screens digital display, the cursor remains on his position, rather than get KeyFocus to the next control. Same behavior at fault if you want to move the cursor on the left/right keyboard, nothing happens. Anyone an idea why?

A simulation of that VI is attached. All other controls, a Slide with a digital display or a standard digital control, the key Down event filter behaves as expected... I tested in versions 8.5.1 LV (attachment), LV2012SP1 and LV2013.

A teammate now found a solution or workaround. We do not know if this is the way it should be, if yes, then it's a bit hidden, but it works!

It seems that the cursor needs to know on what digital display the FocusObj is when you use the event notifier KeyDown. Then, when to get the reference of the digital display active and the wiring of this reference to the terminal FocusObj filter event everything works as expected, numbers of tabs, typed, cursor etc and have to filter and notify events structure to the event.

A vi and a printscreen are attached.

The question is probably due to the specialty of slides and the class NumericWithScale in general, as its digital displays are a little under References and during the implementation of the features of event KeyDown for the class NumericWithScale filter, LV simply does not know on which side of the main action control part must be executed.

Or someone has a better solution and explanation?

  • Its mixed? While playing the slide with audio, if the customer has hit a tab with audio interaction, two sounds will play together. How to avoid what is happening?

While playing the slide with audio, if the customer has hit a tab with audio interaction, two sounds play together, which is not a good customer experience.

How to avoid what is happening? Placing a marker can help, but cannot solve the problem when the compliant/no intentional user, press tab.

Better, if the presenter can triggle tab automatically at some point, or click interaction, no game bar function.

    Hi Louie,

My sincere apologies for not being able to help on your previous question.

Now, that the Interactions are concerned, they were initially designed to be placed as standalone content on the slide.

Also if you try to resize your interaction and place it on the slide as well as other content/objects released published will always give a priority to the Interaction that it deemed to be a specific slide of Interaction.

In the previous project, you shared, you try to time the Interaction with PowerPoint animations and wanted it to appear later on the set of slides, rather than on the start. But, as explained above, presenter honored not this setting in your project, because he in fact has considered a slide of interaction and display interaction since the beginning of the slide room itself.

Also the number listed in this thread is concerned, there is no direct way to do it but I would like to suggest something that might help.

If you want to keep the interaction on your slide and other content, Interaction will be available at the beginning of the slide. Surely there is no way that delaying his appearance, but you can still use animation related to Interaction in another goal. Within your presentation-> playback option settings, you can enable the feature of 'Pause after each animation' (see screenshot below). It will essentially help you achieve the function of auto-faisant a break from your animations, using your narration would automatically stop, just before you claim in your narrative and inform the learner to click on the different tabs of the Interaction. All you have to do is your narration and animation correctly so that the slide play does not break too many times in the time interval. Hope you find the idea of what I'm trying to say.

Please mark this answer as being correct, if you find it useful. We would certainly look at such scenarios to be achievable directly at the request of our updates and later version.

  • Master slide with the scenario, reference, reference active / disable

I have a model of slides with this little built in purple overlay:

The three icons are smart shape filled with image buttons that play white in the bearing and States out of service.

I want to use them on slides unguided practice for:

    • Scenario - Toggle text caption. Scenario is checked by default on a previous slide in its entirety, it would be a reminder for the slides, that it applies to (good for several slides)
    • Tip - Toggle text caption. Used when the learner gets stuck, sort of a hint of specific workflow (changes slide to slide)
    • Reference - link. Open a tool of work with step by step instructions.

I would like to use variables so I could control to show exactly when these rockers are used on each slide, and I guess that I need stocks advanced on my model of slides.

    How can I do this?

Long ago, I explained a similar workflow in these forums and blog on this subject:

'Beat the system' - save time by creating advanced Actions (Captivate) - Captivate blog

It is the workflow, I'd certainly use for the Tip:

    1. create a v_hint of user variables
    2. insert this variable in a text container on the first slide where you need (form or legend, I always mention that, because the shape is much more flexible for the style) and don't forget to adjust the length as high as possible. in previous versions maximum number of characters in a variable used to 256, but Rod pointed out, it is now lower (about 150)
    3. make this large enough text container, so that it can have your longer index and the time for the rest of the project, always on top.
    4. Create the action of the show/hide button that container (have several blog on shape toggle buttons)
    5. Create a joint action or a tip action that must be triggered by pressing enter for each slide where you want the features. It will be quite simple: assign v_hint with «...» ' (text you want for that slide being in the indicator); I would have preferred a shared action on a bunch of advanced duplicate actions because they save on the size of the file, and you can manage the library

You can use the same approach (with a different user variable) for the script, but due to the limitation of the length of a variable and the fact that you have only 3 different versions, I would argue just to have 3 different, but still timed text containers for the rest of the project and always on top.

With respect to the URL, I'm afraid you will have to use JS. I think that TLCMediaDesign (David Crawford) posted on this workflow.  Publish to HTML or SWF? There are widgets autour.

  • Best practices when it comes to insert audio to powerpoint slides

I create a mix of slides with animations and software simulation projects in captivate.

Currently, I have developed the audio files associated with objects of the PowerPoint slide animation. My question

    • Can I insert sound files in PowerPoint and change the timing of the animation based on the duration of the audio. I've been playing with editing and be too honest, I'm getting a little frustrated trying to synchronize.

    or

    • Can I insert the audio using Captivate after you import PowerPoint slides?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Concerning

    AJ

All the audio clips will be stored in the library. Either from the library or by using the Audio Control Panel, you can edit audio clips directly in the hearing (part of the Adobe Creative, one of the best audio applications available cloud) and when recording that they are automatically edited in Captivate as well. Workflow even exists with Photoshop: you can modify a Photoshop source file, where Captivate will keep the layers wanted separate way images in the library, and you can modify of Captivate right away in Photoshop. Captivate integration with other Adobe applications is unique in the e-learning tools.

  • PowerPoint slides to PDF conversion.

    Hello.

I've been converting powerpoint files to pdf format for almost 9 months now and so far had now problem. However when I tried to convert this powerpoint slide in pdf format (here's the download link: https://files.acrobat.com/preview/860b57c6-6adf-45eb-8604-ebed8de2c292), the text are all converted into images. I was therefore wondering if there was a way to convert the file to pdf text preserving.

(additional info: I am currently using Acrobat 11.0.3 on Windows 7 x 64.) I have 40 conferences at least 30 slides with this same format. I prefer the text rather than images because it gives the possibility of formatting text in later)

    See you soon.

    Finally!

It has everything to do with formatting

PDF conversion does not support formatting 3d such as depth, gradient color in text color and color of the shape.

  • Copy of a slide with a 'model' for the buttons to show and hide across multiple slides

Here's my problem... I'm going through many different products that each have a similar style click on each slide.  The user can choose from 5 different catergories, when you click on one of the 5 buttons it shows the appropriate text box and hides one of the other visible text that can be opened from clicking on any other category.  When all the 5 keys were pressed game re bar appears allowing the user to continue.  It works just like a champion on a slide.  Here's my problem, although I need to duplicate this slide about 200 times.  When I duplicate, the name of the element in the text boxes so any change so my actions advanced making hide / display is no longer working.  Do I really have to create a new tip action for each text box for each slide with a unique name for the element? (I know that I can't have the same text on several slides box item name... at least I don't think I can).  I can do this, but there must be a quicker way?  What Miss me?

    I am using Captivate 5.5

Very brilliant way to beat the system, I am impressed.  A problem, however, the text box must have a gray background to make the text readable, and for some reason when the variable positions within the text are it is overlooking the sid on the left of the box by a character.  Everything else seems to fit but not that. See slide below and the "Drytime" box to the right illustrates my problem.

  • stop on the last slide with active buttons

    Hello world

Am still a beginner with Captivate... Please help:

I have 4 buttons set in place on the last slide of Film1, functioning as a simple menu, sort of.

First button goes to Movie 2, second button jumps to 5 film, third button jumps to 8 film, with a last button SHOWS ALL from 2 film as well. All these movies are related to each other (ie. 3 movie begins when ends the movie 2).

How can I get the Film1 stop on the last slide, with all 4 buttons remaining active?

In my published exe, the buttons work if and only if I click on them, until the project stops.

Thank you in advance for expenses!

    Hello

Please make sure that the buttons have activated pause. (It is possible to disable)

Assuming that they have activated pause, they should pause and wait for the user to click on them before you continue. If a break has been disabled, probably made in the box Inactive playhead of the button and it no longer works.

    See you soon... Rick
