I changed this to the field I will be using to access my application on the internet.  Seems that it was the wrong thing to do.  After recording, I got 404 error immediately.  Now, when I log in I get error 404 after a successful authentication.  Previously, it was working fine.  Y at - it somewhere that I can change the config setting in vacuum?  in 7 OEL config file? database somewhere?  I can not connect to return to change...

Connect to the SYS user with SYSDBA privilege and try this:

ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = APEX_050000;

BEGIN
    APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('ALLOW_HOSTNAMES', NULL);
    COMMIT;

  • "Windows services Centre" call by saying that I have a problem with my internal security system

    Hello

I received a phone call from 'Windows Service Centre', James Henderson, employee of 406-235-1159, phone number #7098 (Yes, that's an indication 406 and 416 - which is one of the reasons why I'm suspicious), but gave a speech in Mississauga (Ontario), saying that I have a problem with my internal security system and even if www.ammyy.com I need to talk to the technician to solve this problem. I do not trust him and hang up, but called the number, responded to the same person (as he had an Indian accent with a lisp in addition to this) and he said that Joseph and not James!
    Scam or what? Thank you

It is a scam! Who is becoming extremely common and was even on the news in some places. As long as you don't give them any personal information, you should be fine. Should they call once again, simply hang up.

See the recent thread below for more information; Shenan Stanley and the spirit of the messages contain very useful information:

  • Can use us BC with an internal company hosted site?

I want to use the Muse and Business Catalyst to create a new site, but we are a big company and they host internally all Web sites?

    Hello

You could add the domain and wish that it is hosted outside.

It is usually set up if one wants to have their site/domain hosted left outwardly British Colombia.  You should always generate A-records for the domain pointing to BC for this to work.

Otherwise there is no work around.

  • Workspace user security to the process

Hello, I take my first process of work space, and I have problems with the implementation of the security so that only specific users can see the category and the process. Am I missing something?  I was throughout the /AdminUI and searched this forum for an hour now and finally decided to post a question.  What I want is to have is so that when a user connects they will only see the categories that I gave them the rights to, and then click the process under this category that they have rights too.  Can someone point me in the right direction on what to do, where to go for more information on how to set up?  Thank you.

There is no way to enforce security on the categories for all the categories are displayed.

You apply security on the process via the /AdminUI (Service-> Application and Services-> service-> Security tab... click the Add Principal button at the bottom.  Only users/groups in this list can invoke (start) process and the services is to allow a user to call will be displayed under the Category node.

  • Switching on ubuntu host, workspaces.

I have 9 workstation running on portable ubuntu 64-bit with 2 external monitors and a docking station.  My vm is win7.  My ubuntu host has 4 desktops or workspaces that I can pass.  I run win7 virtual machine in one of the workspaces.  I would like to start the virtual machine mode full-screen so that he will see both monitors.  The problem is that when I want to switch to a different workspace on the host, I have to go on full screen.

Does anyone know other ways to pass the workspace while only in a VM fullscreen?

I thought about it.  CTRL + ALT to lose the accent then CTRL + ALT + arrows to switch from windows.

  • Planning of the names of the dns infrastructure and host esx (FQHN)

    Greetings,

We plan our virtual environment for ESX 3.5 on IBM xSeries hardware. The environment will be made up (initially for short term) of two ESX host machines and a server that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for virtual center and VCB to backup proxy functions. My questions and concerns, consider installing the management network and the host names of the servers themselves.

I want to ensure the safety of the ESX servers and management functions by choosing a servo for all ESX hosts IP subnet and the virtual Center. Anyone done this? The back of the draw are more limited communication with the "machines" or more complicated infrastructure network that you need to add an interface on a router or an internal firewall for proper computers can access the host ESX and virtual Center. - What someone else? Are there better ways?

I also have questions about a naming convention good/responsible for all vmware hosts. We have example.com as a public domain. Someone also created a domain in active directory (who did not understand what they were doing) in the same domain, so my structure active directory looks like "host.example.example.com" - silly, I know. I guess that it is more appropriate to not place ESX or other host vmware in the same logical domain/dns as members active directory. While the leaves creating a separate field or using the public domain from example.com (esx.example.com). I thought for security and separation, it may be more appropriate to use "esx.example.local". This command removes any way for virtual infrastructure mingle in the public domain. All comments, thoughts, carries on this?

I also intended to appoint guests something like the following: ESX1.something.tld, ESX2.something.tld, etc. and virtual center something like VC.something.tld. Since virtual center needs to be a member of active directory to allow the mapping to user accounts, those who cause any issies with the ESX host with different domain names complete? Are there other ways to connect to active directory without being a domain member machine? Is anyone doing or having problems with it from a security point?

    fhrivers,

Thank you. I suppose that by 'local management LAN', you hear the internal local production lan do you use?

We actuallu use 2 subnets now, private, internal, and a DMZ for guests in public (although it's hard to keep everything under this distinction more). I assume that your recommendation is just to meet the host ESX and virtual center under the internal local subnets, even as the other hosts internal and access control on virtual Center allows to regulate access to the VI3. Certainly address more easily. You have concerns the fact that VC is running on a windows platform and is therefore vulnerable as such? I was trying to come up with a good armor for VC. I guess that windows firewall is always an option, or stop the services and other standard precautions. What is your opinion of securing virtual Center?

You're right, I want to talk about the normal subnet that all servers and users are connected to.  This works in my environment, but may not work in environments more serious questions of internal security.

I actually run VCenter as a virtual machine in a HA cluster to eliminate the scenario of hardware failure, but I do not see why the vCenter running Windows makes it more vulnerable than any computer on your network.  Like any other essential service, I would make sure that running the server vCenter vCenter only and that essential services only run including a client anti-malware.  I tend to take an approach more inside-out security and not an outside in approach.  I'm more concerned with security at the application layer to the edge of the network.  Again, which works best for my environment.

    We have 3 HP DL380 x G9 5.5 u2 running ESXi servers.

They have been in production for about 6-8 months until now without any problem whatsoever, until recently.

Recently, Vcentre guests will enter a 'disconnected' State and the alarm 'host and connectivity power '. After a few minutes, the host will reconnect and everything continues as usual. This disconnection causes no VMs sign out or restart. During the period where Vcentre shows as disconnected host, we can still SSH and ping on the ESX host without problem.

It doesn't seem to be a single host that is affected, it could be anything. It does not appear to occur at the same time during the day.

I have checked for problems known and found some handshake SSL timeout KB articles, but do not believe that the same thing is happening here. I tried increasing the time-out period by that article anyway (KB 2064246) but that does not make a difference.

All devices are connected to one HP5406ZL2 pass, with management on a vswitch with 2 x 10 GbE interfaces Active / active with route based on the origin of virtual Port ID set.

The server running vCentre is also the MRS server and our server backup exec.

Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

This weekend a just disappeared from the servers disconnected completely and don't come not back online.

To fix that we followed the info in this article:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalID=2037798

This has now been run on all hosts and disconnects the random disappeared. I will seek to apply the updates that are mentioned in this article as soon as POSSIBLE.

Cordially for someone else who stumbles across this.

    Hello

I installed APEX 3.2 with Oracle XML DB protocol with the embedded PL/SQL gateway server.

My version of the database is Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64 bit Production.

I am able to Apex administration services to connect using http://localhost: 8080/apex/apex_admin .

I created the new workspace demo.

However, I am unable to login to the demo workspace to help

    http://localhost: 8080/apex .

I'm providing identifying information correct yet TI gives error of invalid credentials.

Also I am not able to find the demo space on the page of administration or the workspace request page.

    http://localhost:8080/apex/f? p = 4550 with newly created connection credntial

    Neither

    workspace: internal

    user: admin

password: your password admin apex (although the plant apex password)

    Try this url.

  • Export all tables, triggers, sequences, etc. of the APEX-hosted application.

    Hello

I'm sure this has been asked in several variations before, but the answers I keep seeing in the forums offer "alternatives" that are not applicable to what I need to accomplish. While I am an employee of Oracle for a long time, I am only recently entered APEX developing and meeting some annoyingly situations of "newbie". Namely:

I created a fairly complex application in the hosted APEX internal server. Now, I want to make a backup of all the objects of schema associated with my request. More important, I want to save the data in the tables that I will be performing manipulations of data on it prior to import into the new schema/database.

I have to assume that there is a smart way to save the data in an application without having to:
    (a) manually export each table in an Excel or XML file.
    (b) manually having to write the same todo script
    (c) having a direct access to the database to use data pump or exp (not possible in the hosted environment)
    (d) application to another schema located in the space as a substitute for the backup of the copy.

There MUST be a way to take a backup external/export data and objects related-databasebase APEX 4.0.2.00.07 which does not require the tedious manual methods or direct access to internal site hosted DB.

Can anyone suggest the best option to perform this task?

Guess it will do badly then. There is NO way unless you have access to the Sql developer or another product to download the data for all the tables and objects of database in one fatal shot.

What we have are the following:

You can have the apex generate a file of all your objects in database sql (sql workshop, utility, generate DDL) and this will build a sql file that will build all your Oracle database objects.

After that, I'd suggest the utility to download data: unload sql workshop, utilities, data, data workshop. This will allo wyou'llill to download your data to a local workstation to the file xml, csv or txt format.

    Thank you

I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce.

  • Locked workspace, can't unlock

    Hi all

I locked a workspace in apex-admin maintenance screens in the hope of finding a way to lock users out, while we are deploying new changes in demand. Unfortunately, this also turns off the developer accounts. I've unlocked all developer accounts but still get the message, contact your administrator. Is there another account which must be unlocked that I can't see?

    Thanks in advance

    Graham

    Run this script:

SQL > @apxxepwd. SQL new_password - this script fo Oracle XE

This script can be found in the APEX install directory (for the xe version not to run this apxchpwd.sql)

    After this:

    Connect to:
    workspace: INTERNAL
    user: ADMIN
    password: new_password

and here you can do all that

  • CSA and access to files

I wanted to know what the consensus is the rule I created. I want to enable users to download documents, internall to sharepoint without questioning that Internet Explorer attempts to read an MS Office document. I would however like to be questioned if they download to an external site. The dynamic application class that I created, approved TCP connections, include only the internal IP host to communicate with the internal IP host. My article that I created, I open myself up to major security holes? Thank you and I thank you all for your comments.

Hi Jason, sounds like you may have helped all the processes execution of untrusted content to read and write files, not only the connections approved logos.
