Workstation 8.0.6 and Win10x64: audio crackles - timing problem?

I use WS 8.0.6 under Win7x64 on Clevo laptop P170EM (3610QM CPU, 16 GB of RAM).

XP, Vista (32/64), Win7 (32/64), Win8x64, Win8.1x64 invited works extremely well, no problem at all.

In all the Win10x64 invited (from 10586 last pre-release), the audio is very choppy, with or without VMware Tools installed.

Tested with the internal ' Test' button and popular players (WinAMP, Foobar2000) using MS, SD and WASAPI interface. Even with 2000 ms buffering, there is no clear sound. In all previous versions of Windows (up to 8.1), 200-300 ms of buffering is enough.

DPCLat shows 1200.15000 we 1100.1200 average latency.

I'm afraid that there are some problems of timing of comments.

What timing technique had been changed to relatively Win10 to Win8.1?

WS 8.0.6 can be adjusted to fix, or should I update my WS to a version more recent?

Would be - for upgrade, choose which version of WS? Here, I've seen a few complaints for WS 10 and 12 WS audio stability-related.

I discovered that Virtual 8 HPET Hardware is enabled by default:

hpet0. Present = 'TRUE '.

Disabling HPET eliminates audio crackles and timing problems in win 8.x and 10:

hpet0. Present = false

(or you can just comment this line on ' # ').

Most likely, Workstation 8 virtualizes not correctly HPET.

    Bought a new Satellite A500 last year and have had many problems, here's a quick run down:

    1 will play not with Win7 64-bit, compatible blue screens pointing to the graphics card driver. Tried every update in the Sun, nothing helps, also tried a full system restore with no luck... finally gave up and moved for Win 7 32 bit and stability seems reasonable.

    2. audio crackles with 64 and 32 bit versions of win 7, once again have tried every update under the Sun, including BIOS and full system restore with no luck. Audio is really shocking and it is worth noting that it is not just the speakers, when I use a headset (and joking around, I had plugged a top of the range $300 pair) it still crackles like nothing else.

    3. fell hardware WIFI switch...! ??? Also note that this laptop was not the biggest of any ill treatment and hase has spent most of it is time sitting on a desk at home and not be mobile (which incidentally is therefore what laptops are designed for should be able to handle)

    4. Webcam not centered, he did on my right shoulder looking into no. mans land making it quite impossible to use and type at the same time.

    Where I am now... Well I took it to Portacom (west Perth) under warranty that I do not advise anyone to do as disassembled for replacement of the webcam, they were pretty useless, and they were pretty rude about it too.

    They said they tested the audio with intensively music with headphones too and can't find anything wrong with that, but yet it still crackles away murdering all my favorite music.

    They said that the WIFI hardware switch was caused by abuse, but there is no sign of violence.

    They do not have check the blue screen with windows 64-bit issue because I had long since given up that at this time.

    I was always a fan of Toshi and that's why I insisted we do a when I upgraded, but it seems he build quality has suffered a little since I finally bought a. I don't think I'll go to another ever again, this machine is wound very badly and has a huge impression cheap on this subject. Even more if you need any technical support, warranty or not, don't bother with Portacom. As I said they are rude and not much help at all really.

    Hey, man

    You are right, the A500 series have problems and the most annoying is audio crackles. I bought my round 4 monts ago and hoped that Toshiba should fix bugs of cracking, but it is still exists. I tried all Bios upgrade, reinstalling the driver, registry settings, but still no solution. As I see it, Toshiba is not care we or am I wrong? They have placed the same driver display simply by changing date you output. As for me, I don't often listen to music on my knees, using a portable mp3 player which fortunately not crackling.
    But anyway, I love this model. He has a good design, assemblage of powerful and high quality. I hope they fix some bugs in the future

    Have you noticed this reading of an audio CD or play music from mp3 too?
    If this isn't the case, then the sound issue of Skype could be linked to slow down the internet connection.

    > TV dongle in the past that a registered/listened to the hassle 3 months ago. Now, the image is so pixelated registration is useless. The record also seems to "hang" for long periods and then resume with more pixelation and beige/gray color overall...

    This only happens using the TV dongle?
    How about watching videos from YouTube or DVD?

    > I went looking to see if I could change the BIOS to 'share' more memory with the graphics chip, but there is no option. (sigh!)

    This option is not available in the BIOS of the laptop. The graphics driver controls the graphics memory. Until it must be said that I don't know if this is related to your hardware problem or software of Mr. your system maybe simply confused upward? How about HARD drive recovery? It would be maybe good option to set the operating system configuration, and then test the functionality.

  • The PC HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15: Blurred and static Audio after update of Windows 10

    I was using Windows 10 quite a few months now with no problems. My sound has been clear until this morning when my computer automatically updated itself. After the update, I noticed that my sound (which worked perfectly fine before the update) was blurred and subdued, with a noise static when the music I listened to hit a higher mark. This had not happened before. Not until I've updated. So far, I checked to see if I need to update something new for my audio device in Device Manager, but I was told that everything is up to date.

    Previously, a few years ago I had a similar problem when updating from Windows 8, but rather my audio is completely out. Waiting to see if something like that happen again. I'm not sure what to do on my audio now, but I'm afraid to uninstall my sound card where I can bring him back despite says he's coming back. In addition, I don't know what to do for my specific product. I've read that many others have had similar problems, so if someone could help me I would be very grateful.

    Thank you in advance.

  • His jerky in Windows 7 and Realtek audio during playback of music - after the release of sleep

    Hello

    Lately I'm encounter problems playing music on my desktop PC and my house. My desktop PC is x 64 bit my home PC is x 86. What they have in common is a NVidia card (7300 on my PC at home while 9600 on my desktop PC) and MoBo integrated Realtek Sound Chip. The systems are up-to-date, the drivers are updated via the automatic updates. When I feel his jerky, I reboot the comptuer (s) and its good to happen for a few hours. I have no idea which can be triggered to become again a bit rough sound. Sound is at once during playback of movies using Windows Media Center (on my house cause of PC I don't watch movies at work lol: D), when you listen to music using media player or Winamp. Even when I'm not touching the PC so there's no great animation on the screen. If I turn off improvements in the sound Control Panel Applet, the sound is not so rough but will not solve this problem completely.

    Software that both computers have in common:

    • TeamViewer, Mikogo
    • Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger (rarely signed), Google Talk (still signed to)
    • NCP Secure entry Client (using actively at work, I already uninstall-ed on my PC at home, the sound still jerky)
    • VMWare Server ActiveX control installed through IE (already using actively at work, uninstall-ed at home, always choppy sound)
    • Last.FM, Windows Media Player, Winamp, VLC, Miro
    • Wuala
    • uTorrent
    • Daemon Tools
    • RDTabs
    • Picasa
    • FFDShow
    • 7-zip
    • SmartDefrag
    • Office 2007
    • Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server management tools
    • SpeedFan, HWInfo32

    Suggestions to better diagnose the problem? It's kindda boring.

    Thank you
    Levi

    For those who have this problem and want to see if this resolves for you too: Click on your start ORB, type "services", press on enter, find and restart the "Microsoft Antimalware Service.  Turn on real-time protection if it is always disabled and performed before.  Check your sound, and it should be fixed!

    Vincent,

    I thank very you much for the suggestions!  Finally, some useful tips!

    I used FADS latency Checker and received peaks of 27,000 when he started to be choppy, 50 000 when it was quite rough, and really bad it had reached its maximum about 75 000 - 80, 000.

    When not jump and everything seems fine, as after a restart, the spike is not even go above 500 (if so, rarely and much higher).

    I know that material resources was not my prescription, as I am running out of 8 logical cores of 3 GHz and have 6 GB memory triple channel high speed of at least 50% most of the time.  When the bad audio dropouts are produced, I confirmed this (0-3% cpu usage) and 3 + GB available physical memory, even with my page file off to improve performance.

    While the auditor of latency DCP everything was in the Red (high values), I started through my services running and restarts, one by one.  Then I got to 'Base filtering engine', which has a description of: "the filter Base (BFE) engine is a service that manages firewall and Internet Protocol (IP, IPsec) security policies and implements user mode filtering. Stopping or disabling the BFE service will significantly reduce the security of the system. It will also result in unpredictable behavior in IPsec management and firewall applications. "I proceeded to try to restart, which pops up a message saying that 3 other services will also have to restart to restart: IPsec Policy Agent, the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Malware Protection network pilot.  I clicked 'Yes' to restart all of them, and after a few seconds, windows tells me "Windows could not stop the engine service of filtering based on Local computer.  Error 1051: a stop command was sent to a service that depend on other services running on. "If I click Ok and I look in the STC audit program and my latencies are all still red way and reading too high.  At this point, the windows firewall is disabled, all other 3 services work well.  So I try to restart again, and he succeeds.  Instantly, my auditor DCP is back green and low numbers (<500) and="" all="" audio="" skipping="" has=""> I still don't know what Department it is, because it could be these 3):

    1. the base filtering engine of
    2. IPsec policy agent
    3 Microsoft Malware Protection network driver

    Update:   Now that my sound was turned off again, I have to debug more, but I can't even see the third listed throughout the services, either on or off the coast, but restart the Policy Agent IPsec has nothing.  I restarted Microsoft Antimalware Service since he was the only one that sounded related to #3 above, and that did the trick, DCP levels and without legs instantly fell more.  I always do the same thing every two days or so, or sometimes once a day (depending on how much I use my audio...? maybe?)

    So, does make sense that this service could cause problems?  This means that it is not a driver - correct problem?  If this isn't a Realtek driver problem then it is matter of microsoft and will be fixed - this is their service and software that appear to be the cause of the issue / conflict with the driver.  I guess it could be either a problem, but the realtek and microsoft can fix it if they want to!  It would be nice not having to do now almost every day just to use the sound

    Thanks again Vincent!

  • How to record and play Audio

    Hello

    I want a code example to learn how to record audio and play audio recorded

    Can anyone help me regarding this?

    Thank you

    Pounet

    Try this code, it works for me.

    To record the audio. Note that this code records audio in the device memory. Just change the url to save the code in the sd card.

    try {}
    Reader = Manager.createPlayer ("capture://audio?encoding=amr");
    Player.Realize ();

    RC = (RecordControl) player.getControl ("RecordControl");
    BT = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    rc.setRecordStream (bt);
    FC = (FileConnection)Connector.open("file:///store/home/user/RecordedFiles/audio1.amr");
    {if (!) FC. Exists())}
    FC. Create();
    }
    OT = fc.openDataOutputStream ();
    rc.setRecordStream (ot);
    rc.startRecord ();
    Player.Start ();

    } catch (Exception e) {}
    e.printStackTrace ();

    To stop and play the audio. Copy the following code,

    try {}
    RC.Commit ();

    data = bt.toByteArray ();
    BT. Close();
    Player.Close ();

  • I get an error code 10. DT High Definition Audio CODEC driver problem. Have uninstalled and re installed, still no progress. Any advice? I have

    I bought a new laptop, Dell Vostro 3550 and found pirated software. I installed Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

    There is no sound at all. Get a code 10 message, IDT High Definition Audio CODEC has a driver problem. I uninstalled and re installed the driver without result.
    If anyone can help?

    Hello Eugene,

    When you installed Windows 7 Pro, did you do a reformat and clean install, or have you just loaded Win 7? Part of the problem may be a residual of pirated software. I recommend a reformat and clean install if you can do it now.

    In the contrary case, the thing to look at is if there is a driver conflict between what driver is there now compared to what was there. Go to control panel | Device Manager and watch the video, sound, and game controllers section. What drivers are here for audio? And which audio driver your speakers are pointed to? The active audio driver suitable for your speakers.

    If you could answer my questions, I might be able to help you further.

    Kind regards
