  It shouldn't matter what type of card you are using. Personally I use the type of legacy PCI slot, given that several of them.

  As it is a workstation HP Business class, I would suggest using the HP Enterprise Business Forum. The Forum of business people are much more familiar with the company's products.

• USB connected HDD not displayed in my computer

  An old sata HDD I temporarily connected via a usb adapter is registered as a usb storage device and a player in the hardware device manager.  But not entered as a drive in my computer, why?  I don't see how I can format it for use.

  I didn't want to take any chances, so I installed a new SATA 160 Gb HD and reinstalled Windows XP and Office 2003 on this drive. It works very well. Now I want to reinstall the hard drive as a slave and copy some files to a hard drive if possible.

  I have connected both hard drives to the motherboard with data cables, but the power cable is a little confusing.

  There is a P4 connector. This connector, there are THREE supply wires going to the following areas:

  P3 (end of the cable)

  P5 (end of the cable)

  P3 (middle of cable) connected to P5 (end of the cable) on the same cable

  The original HD was connected to the unique P3 (end).

  Now reconnect:

  the master at the same P3 (end) and the slave to the P5 (end) on SEPARATE cables

  or

  the master of the P3 (the middle one) and slave for the P5 (end) on the SAME cable

  It does not matter

  You will find the unique SATA driver .inf and dll files.

  By design, all the newest SATA standards are retro-compatible with older SATA standards and will return at low speed as they go to work. • VMware Workstation 7 - comments cannot connect to the host computer
