Writer of default open instead of Player Adobe

Hi all

I recently installed a copy of Adobe Writer on my machine that already had an installation of Adobe Reader 9.0 on this. The reason for the old writer was to modify existing PDF and the last copy of the company's liscence to.

Now, I have a problem of all the links on the web trying to open automatically with Adobe Writer and as an older version does not open. I have to save a copy on your computer and then open with player here. Very frustrating.

I did that in my Windows Explorer options that Adobe reader is the default for all types of opening PDF files and have always perform this action checked but for some reason any Explorer keep trying to open links in the writer. This then leads to an error indicating that you must be opeing document in reader 8.0 or later.

Does anyone know of a difficulty, without an installation of the writer?

Thank you

Is there no other way?

Over the years I come in here, I did not somehow to set. I'm sorry.

The only thing that is guaranteed to work is to upgrade your version of Acrobat to newest and get rid of the drive or remove Adobe Reader and install third party reader (such as Foxit). Two things about this one, you can stop Acrobat when you uninstall Reader and need to reinstall and two, Foxit Reader may or may not have all the functions you need for your particular use (or it may be all you need).
