• Good writing software?

  I've been using LibreOffice, but due to accessibility issues, I'm looking for the best writing on the Mac tools. Does anyone know what would work?

Flashing what whatsoever, it is difficult for me to see, can be painful and can be confusing, so it makes it hard to check where I was before. LibreOffice relies on a system setting and OS X uses different settings; I can't disable some flashing cursors in OS X but not LibreOffice flashing cursors.
