  Hi everyone, I'm trying to export a table to excel and I am having trouble.

  First of all, I used 'Write to worksheet File.vi' to create a file .xls and has perfectly worked, but now I need to export a table to another sheet of the same xls file (whose name we should be able to choose), so I started to use ActiveX controls.

  I can create the new worksheet with the desired name and write the data into it, but the problem is that it does not show my table only, but also ALL the cells (65536 x VI) with the value # n/a.

  I can solve the problem in one of the dimensions, but not in both entities. This is the first time I use the ActiveX functions (I built this VI with the help of other examples I found in the forum), so I think I'm missing something important.

  What can I do to not show THAT my table?

  If you get a lot of formatting and garbage of Excel who causes an accident, you can first save your file as a delimited file and which allows to import into Dreamweaver using the same steps as import it tabular data.  These files are much cleaner and easier to import.

  Hi, I have problems when writing to Excel.

  I use the entry in table vi which is comma delimited.

  I can write numeric values in the worksheet. I want to put a string in the first row of the column followed by the data in the lines below, but I can't seem to get this string value.

  write the string (row) Firstly, and then write the numbers. Use two write functions and don't forget not to 'Add file' true...

  In your VI, you have two instances of "Easy Excel Table.vi" that will run in parallel. This is likely to cause a conflict, because as we open and written on the worksheet, the second will also try to open the same spreadsheet and write at the same time.   I am trying to wrap my head around a weird problem:

  I write a double 2D table (decimal separator is a comma, so 1/100 is 0.01) in an Excel workbook. I created this 'Test.xlsx' file by hand and not changed anything about the formatting of the cells.

  

  But what I get in Excel is the following:

  

  Why

  1. is the cell A1 different in the formatting of all the other cells (presentation and justification)

  2 the values in other cells bad? There seems to be a problem with the decimal separator.

  joptimus > the solution is to power through 'Number of fractional string' table with the parameter 'use decimal system' = false and then do go to Excel table easy.

  If I manually highlight the table on the front panel control, and rerun the VI data get exported. How we highlights the data in the table automatically?

  

  I thought that at first too, but after testing (before that I posted ) I see the order does not matter.  Only the selection is copied to.  If nothing is selected the journal will be empty.

  Note: you can select cells programmatically using a property node (selection start and size of the selection).

  So it doesn't seem to be a bug...

  I'm working on a program in Labview that should read the data, do it on a table and transfer in real time to an Excel file. I have already done that there is however a few problems I have week solve so I'm here to share with you and help fix them if possible:

  (1) the excel file that I use to write has some defined functions on it, used to make calculations with transferred values and whenever I run

  my program every thing on the file is overwritten even functions.

  (2) I have specify the rows/columns where I need to write (ex: begin with row 4 column C in line 20 C column and jump colum B and line 14 and 15)

  (3) the VI should be saved automatically, I did everytnig I found on the forum OR but still does not.

  I guess that's not easy to do, but I really need help so I can continue my work.

  display just the data on an array of table has no problem, BUT when I use the Index table and Replace the function subset of table, no data out.

  so, Table3 has the data I want but Table2 have no data at all.

  IM using the Index table and the function Replace subset of table to allow me to SELECT the LINE I want to be shown on

  I use the array function to remodel to change the extracted Excel from 2D to 1 d. Then you can replace all right in your table.

  I create a vi that store a lot of encoder pulse signals in a table, and I want to work with these terms as I in excel. Things like an average of a column, multiply the terms in the table, divide by constants.

  Quite possible, that is the question to have tables, that you can manipulate as you need. The possibilities are endless.

  your program is working well for version 11. I'm working on version 8. After much trying, I found that, in this document, add table adds in excel unlike in version 11 to give the coordinates (microsoft office settings) to locate the table.

• Speeding Up load table of Excel Subvi

  I have a Subvi, which charge a double table 2D from an Excel file. Currently, it takes about 500 ms between executions do not cause an error of type variant, something to do with everything opened and closed. I was wondering if someone could see something obvious is it slows down. If you could help me optimize it a little it would be great. Even if I could shave up to 200ms.

  Here is a small example of what I'm talking about.  Placing the reference App open/close outside the loop gets you down to about 300 ms.

  Currently, I am trying to write a 15 seconds of action in an excel file. The measure of 15 seconds is made by do-while function.

  But unfortunately, after 15 seconds, not all data can be written to the excel, single reading has been written successfully.

  Writing custom to the file is outside of the do-while loop.

  Could you please tell me how to solve this problem?
