Wrong key when installing OS on Satellite A20

Hello!

I need to reinstall Windows XP on Toshiba Satellite A20-S103? PSA20E model number. Notepad is for business, so I need with license.
Original OS laptop is lost... The key is for Windows XP Home Edition. I am tired SDO and variants of the operating system BOX, but then the facility tells this invalid key... Where can I download the Xp version for this laptop?
Thank you

The registration key that you see at the bottom belongs to the version of the OS that you have with your laptop and you can not use for installation with your installations of Windows XP Home edition CD.

Each laptop comes with the recovery image and may not be downloaded. To order the CD of original facility is also problematic because you old enough laptop model.
If you need an OS with license purchase the CD of installations of Microsoft with the appropriate key and use it for installing Windows XP Home edition.
All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support.

  • The time machine shaped my result of ssd unable to check my key when installing windows?

    Brief summary:

My machine: Macbook pro mid 2012
What I have: Samsung Evo SSD, optical Bay caddy, 8.1 windows bootable dvd with serial
I wanted to do: install windows in my second internal SSD (optical Bay)
What went wrong: Enter key I get: "we could not verify the product key. Please check your installation media. »

I suspect that the problem is: I have formatted by mistake the SSD mac front.

Question: Has been put in shape my SSD the cause of the problem? and if yes how can I do to reset?

    Detailed long version

I have a macbook mid 2012 retina not pro that I wanted to have the option to be able to boot from a windows and a mac. As a result, I bought a samsung EVO solid state drive for this purpose. I decided to try the drive and put it in instead of the optical drive caddy the day I got it. I was invited with the message that the mac was unable to acknowledge it and follow a few steps online to format. I would find it later when we look at a forum that I should have left the unformatted SSD. However, I tried to install windows on the EVO by placing the optical drive in the computer, put the EVO in the main Bay. I put the windows cd in and followed the installation. Everything was good until I had to put in the windows key. I put in and received the message "we could not verify the product key. Please check your installation media. "I double checked to see if it was right by voluntarily entering a wrong key he gave me a message that the key was invalid. Snooping around, I tried to reset the drive by using the offer of advanced tools and I was told that windows did not have access to the partition or something of the sort.

A format the drive of the source of the error and if so is it possible to return to the factory settings?

All the advice/help is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

The formatting SSD is not related to the issue with the product key. Windows Setup reformats the SSD in the main Bay NTFS still. If the SSD is less than 2 TB, you can format the MBR with attempts as well as FAT32 format.

Your model is compatible with the installation from DVD and USB, both. You can also download the ISO of Microsoft W8.1 to the https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO to ensure that your DVD is not a several bits (32-bit and 64-bit DVD).

  • error message saying that it is the wrong key when you use a sticker

    Product key

I have an OEM version of vista Home premium. I'm trying to load on an acer extensa 5420 using the product key on the bottom of the laptop. When I enter the key, I get an error message saying: it's the wrong key. How can I use this disc to reinstall windows?

    Hello

The OEM recovery disks are the brand and the specific model

You can't use a disc from another manufacturer

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • "Load driver" error when installing Win7 on Satellite C665

My hard drive in my laptop died on me, so I'm a new hard drive (Solid State) and installed Windows 7 top on my Toshiba (Satellite C665 model PSC55A)

I don't seem to be the only ones to encounter this error: "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. If you have a flash drive driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB, please insert it now. "However, everyone seems to get for different reasons and I have tried several things.

The first manifests itself: use the disk I got with the laptop. I moved homes since I bought the laptop. Looked through all the boxes in the House and and I think it can be lost in oblivion.
The next most obvious: load the drivers of Toshiba support. Tried that. Does not work. Don't know why, but I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba, extract them, put them on a USB key. Seen in "Install Windows" in a list of all the drivers. I try to install each one, it passes through all. The end of it still does not work.
Next: download Windows 7 USB/DVD tool. I read that this would work, so I tried it, and it didn't.
I also read BIOS, 'Disable AHCI mode for your drive in the BIOS OF THE system controller', I'm not the greatest, so I can't have gotten this right step, but the only time where I found the AHCI in the BIOS I couldn't change to IDE or ATA as suggested, I could just change it to "compatibility".

Thank you for your help, I hope I don't sound too desperate.

    > I found AHCI in the BIOS, I couldn't change it to IDE or ATA as was suggested, I could just change it to "compatibility".

It's a good... you can switch the SATA AHCI mode or in compatibility mode.
In AHCI mode laptop requires the SATA driver to see the SSD or HARD disk drive. In compatible mode HDD/SSD drive should be visible during installation of the system, but the HDD/SSD drive would operate in IDE mode means the player HDD/SSD would be slower.

But if I understand the detachment, ve you had problems with CD/DVD player. Is this correct?

It was really strange because installing Windows doesn t need drivers ODD (optical disc) the configuration of the installation contains common CD/DVD player that controls the disk drive.

I read in other forums that this problem could be related to faulty Windows installation disc. It would be interesting to know if you can use another drive to install the system

I also found this MS knowledge base article:
["Required the reader driver CD/DVD is missing" or "needs a driver your computer media is missing" appears when you install Windows | http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2755139]

    The reasons can be:
The installation DVD is removed during the installation process.
A bad quality DVD has been used to create the installation DVD.
The speed at which the installation DVD is burnt was too fast.
The DVD drive cannot read media.
    The ISO file is corrupted.

  • Floppy USB drive not recognized when installing WinXP on Satellite Pro L40

    History:

I bought a Satellite Pro L40, it came with windows vista. I can't stand vista windows for obvious reasons. so I formatted the HARD drive. I have a copy of windows XP.

IV ' e read on the internet that I need Intel storage driver manager...

IA´ve got the driver, he got on a floppy, and it does not, because when I start to install XP, it works (after pressing F6 & choose the driver to install). I come to the part of license agreement, press F8 accept...

I select the partition I want to use (in format completely on vista). It starts to load more stuff... so he said "PLEASE INSERT LABELD - INTEL MATRIX STORAGE MANAGER DRIVER - DISK IN DRIVE A:" "PRESS ENTER WHEN READY."

The disc that I used in the first place is always in. when I press on enter, nothing NOT to PAST (the USB floppy drive is not yet into action)

How can I make it work? It is that I can get.

I DON'T WANT BACK TO VISTA - HELP!

This could happen if the floppy USB doesn t drive supports the standards of law. Some people have reported on different websites many floppy drives are not recognized.

However, worry guy. I have a solution ;) (jeaaa: D)

Try to create a new XP CD using the software called nLite!
Then, you could include the SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) driver in this new CD and then you could boot from the XP CD again.

For details and how to use the nLite please Google because there are a lot of useful Web sites.

  • Unknown ACPI device when installing XP on Satellite L300

    Hello!

I had problems installing XP on my L300... I download all of the XP driver on the Toshiba site, prepare my installation CD with nLite and so on...
But now, I have 2 unknow device in the console devmgmt.msc: seems to be the ACPI device. (ACPI/GenuineIntel_family6_model15). HAL.inf is used as a driver for now.

But I did not find some drivers for them... Nothing in the pilot, I downloaded, nothing on the forum, I know, even 'my friend Google' has not helped me... :-(
I downloaded the Toshiba ACPI common driver I found on opendrivers.com but always as unknow devices...

So, I d like to know if anyone has never has this kind of problem and if he can solve it...

Or, if someone has a wonderful idea to solve...

    Thank you!
    K.

Could you please print on-screen device manager list somewhere? A picture can help.

For the moment, your data: ACPI/GenuineIntel_family6_model15..., I think you need to google for a Windows XP patch to fix the bug Dual-Core. (Dual-core Windows XP Fix) It will be better if you install SP3 on your computer now that this bug has been fixed.

    Good luck.

  • Problem of storage space satellite L305-S5962 HARD drive when installing XP

    Hello

Last week, I ordered two TOSHIBA Satellite L305-S5962 for my children and finally happened yesterday.
I was so glad that I found all drivers XP needed for it on Toshiba USA website, however something weird happened when I went to install XP over there.

It came with preloaded Vista and while under Vista, I checked the HARD drive space it is said about 250 GB (240 - ish), but during the installation blue screen boot XP it read C 131 GB only partition.
So, if you round up to about 130 GB, where the other 90 GB's?

This problem has happened to these two Toshibas, and read the two HDD substantially the same.
In Vista, it reads close to 250 GB, but when installing XP blue screen (once I turn off the AHCI setting in BIOS) it reads at 131 GB. Is this some kind of driver issue? or to issue OS with AHCI?

On the Toshiba site there are two HARD drive drivers, are a .exe and the other a .zip file.
I tried both in the XP installation CD of nLite, but it does not help.
It still reads GB 131, so now I have no idea what to do, or maybe I have something wrong during the splicing of nLite?

In any case, if anyone has some insight on this problem, please let me know.

    Thank you!

    -G.P.

P.S. Here is the link to site from USA, for XP SP2/SP3 drivers, HARD disk drivers.

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/modelContent.jsp?CT=DL&OS=&category=&MOID=2350214& rpn = PSLB8U & modelFilter = TOSHIBA + Satellite + L305-S5962 & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 1073768663

Even once, if someone has seen, thank YOU!

    > I checked disk space HARD it is said about 250 GB (240 - ish), but during the installation blue screen boot XP it read the partition C 131 GB only.

The HARD disk is partitioned into 3 partitions.
The first partition contains OS preinstalled; Vista
The second partition contains the image of Toshiba HDD and the last third partition is hidden. It s a small partition created by Vista and it contains the backup files. These files can be used if something goes wrong with Vista OS or if Vista needs to be repaired.

So I guess you've seen only the first partition that contains the operating system Vista

  • Re: Satellite L300-1AP BSOD when installing Windows XP

I have a new L300-1AP and would like to intall XP Pro but when I try it I get the stop message 0x0000007b.

Made a new installation disc integrated with all updated sata drivers, I still get the message. I'm not sure about how I would install drivers of third party on the F6 function because it has not a diskette and cany to find how to do the same thing in a CD anywere.

I appreciate that we should all try to use the vista OS that came with it, but it is a problem of compatibility with older software that I use.

    Can anyone help please?

In the Microsoft Knowledge Base is an article about it:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=17&y=8

I think that there is something wrong with the SATA drivers. My Satellite L300 works with XP without problems or BSOD when installing.

The SATA drivers are in this package, and the Intel Storage Manager you can download on the Toshiba site.
You can create your own installation with nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) disc.
If I have integrated the SATA drivers, you do not have to press F6. The HARD drive will be automatically recognized.

    Hello

Seems that the laptop can not find the bootable source.
This means that the HARD drive is malfunctioning or the boot sector is defective.

By the way; have you tried to change the boot order in the BIOS?

  • Try to install Windows 7 via USB, El Capitan, Macbook Pro 2011 but get this error "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.
