    @alexdemon

Router WRT1900ACS is a SOHO router. It doesn't have a feature of access rule where the web traffic can be managed and regulated. The tool of Parental control of your Linksys Smart Wi - Fi account is designed for local customers only.

    Note:

OpenVPN can create the tunnel from the remote host to the main network and thus web traffic cannot be routed through the router firewall.

  • Internet ip address is address internal modem

    Hello!

first that I apologize if I've neglected a simular position and ask again a question described previously, but I couldn't find a clear answer.

I tried to Setup dyndns on my wrt320n (fw: v1.0.03 build 010 24 July 2009). After that I created a POS to dyndns and configured on the router, I recognized that the ip address is the internal ip address of my modem. so my dyndns address is resolved to the internal ip address of my modem. How the router can get real external ip so dyndns address works correctly?

As I wrote before: the FritzBox works as a router. Why do you not use the FritzBox as your main router?

If you switch the FritzBox mode modem, you need to configure PPPoE settings of internet connection of the WRT. Then only the WRT connects directly to the internet. I suppose that if you don't do this the FritzBox will continue to work as a router.

  • How Internet IP address with the Linksys BEFSX41 router pings?

    Hello.

Does anyone know how to let my Internet IP address responding to pings from the outside with this model of router? I can't seem to find the option to set (the configurations of way more than my old Netgear RT311). I couldn't find it via Google search (all internal pings). I use the 1.52.15 firmware version.

    Thank you in advance.

See the demo of the UI here. Change the option "Block anonymous Internet requests" for people with reduced mobility. Then the router will respond to the pings on the ip address. If this does not work once you change it, check that the BEF was really a public IP address on the internet port. Check the status page it shows what IP address the router uses on the internet port.

  • Get a location without GPS sensor? Using internet ip address approximation?

    Hello

I'm doing a project with knots of sensors and using the cloud to assist in the management of the energy of the node. Basically, labview must be connected with the node and from time to time receive data. The data are stored in the cloud. Up to this point, all right.

The cloud should also receive GPS location, so if in the cloud, there are these latest data on this gps location, labview who would check and request data on the sensor node (using energy).

My problem is that I don't have a GPS sensor, but I know in the internet, Web sites such as google maps, can approach your location (I believe that through a technique of triangulation ip). So, the only thing I wish is to acquire this information with labview real-time. How can I do?

Of course, you can always try using the services of google API's location: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geolocation/intro#wifi_access_point_object

    Hi wjabdella,

    Thank you for your answer!

In the post I provided on the hard reset, he mentioned: sometimes, when plugged into a surge protector or battery backup, the quantity of electricity is not received by the printer.  Power problems can cause printing problems.  It is particularly important to be plugged directly into a wall outlet with wireless connectivity problems, "sleep mode" and other power problems.

So by unplugging the power and waiting, it resets the printer almost to its original state without making a complete factory reset and lose any other information.

WRT 1900 ACS router, switch SE 4008 WRT, of 6500 RE HG AC1200 extender

If possible I would like the 6500 RE HG as a WAP user, is it possible?  I know there's a 300N WAP browser, but I want to take advantage of the RE 6500 port speeds and speeds of speeds\simultaneous updated wireless band.  My thought is to have the WRT 1900 ACS in a place that will pass to the SE 4008 in another place that feed the RE 6500 Hg in another place like a WAP browser.  I would prefer hard line the RE HG 6500.

    Any help is appreciated!

Hi, DblDeuce. Linksys RE6500HG will only act as a signal Repeater wireless to your existing Wi - Fi router or Access Point, and it is not a feature must be configured as an access point. However, you can try to look at the LAN-to-LAN or LAN-to-WAN waterfall with the Linksys router on your network configuration of your choice. Check out this link as a guide.

You can also use a power adapter line for your network configuration. Check out this link.

  • EA6500 multiple IP addresses on the Internet interface

I have verizon fios business with 5 static IP addresses and am set up for ethernet wan. I can use EA6500 as the router instead of use the own router to Verizon, but I can't understand how to assign every 5 static IP on the internet interface addresses. I have already affected the first IP address in the Web interface, but don't see a way to add multiple IP addresses internet interface or NAT section where I can create static NAT.

Is it still possible with EA6500? If so, how?

I don't think it's possible, given that the router support 1 address static IP at a time.

  • WCG200 & WRT54GS together for internet configuration problems

OK I wil l provide as much information as I can here. First of all, the problem is that until the other day I've used DSL and now switched to comcast cable.  As such, I went and bought the wcg200 cable modem only to find out that there seems to be problem there with the firmware wireless.  Before buying the wcg200, I still have a wireles g Linksys WRT54GS.  Now, I just want to use the modem cable as an internet modem and continue to access everything I got via the 54gs wireless router and cannot find out how to configure the 54gs.

Here is the TRICK so far.  When I restart my computer my default gateway is 192.168.1.1, which is the 54gs and I don't get any INTERNET CONNECTION.

If I have enough IPCONFIG RENEW it switches to 192.168.1.2, and I get INTERNET & life is the way it has been.  Power down the pc and the re-boot and I'm back to 1.1.  Please don't tell me that I have create a .bat file to include in the boot to release and renew.  I'm sure it's a setting somewhere on the 54gs to have this work wireless, but use the wcg200 gateway.

    The cables are as follows:

    -patch cable cat5 wcg200 port 1 to port 1 on 54gs

-wire cable from my computer to port 1 of 54gs until I can get this to work.

    -I can ping 192.168.1.1 which is 54gs & 192.168.1.2 = wcg200

    Currently on the wcg200:

    -DHCP is on

    -IP address is 192.168.1.2

    -IP from de.1.100 for 50

    -Wireless is disabled

-Everything is disabled except for the firewall, multicast and porscans, these are the default values for security.

    -Everythign else is default

    -upnp disabled

    -firmware is 2.0.3.5.10 - 0425

    ON THE WRT54GS

    -J' deleted the PPPoe configuration.

    -IP address is 192.168.1.1

-DHCP is also on (it can not be good)

-wireless is on with - wep

-block the anonymouse applications internet is on

    -multicast filter is on

-filter idnet port 113 is on

    -upnp enabled

    THX

    Snowman777

Option 1: You still use the WCG200 gateway router and the WRT as simple access point. You almost have it. All you have to do is to disable the DHCP server on the WRT. Only the WCG is the gateway router and the DHCP server on the WCG gives correct gateway IP address. The WRT connects customers with wireless local area network. Internet settings on the WRT-related (e.g. the type of internet connection, filter, blocking, upnp, transfer/port triggering, etc.) are not all relevant because these functions have meaning only if the internet connection is connected to the internet port of the WRT. You probably want to disable the wireless in the WCG radio, if you don't want to use it.

Option 2: Transform the WCG in a modem, or disable routing all and NAT. disable the DHCP server on the WCG. Then, on the Administration - Advanced page there is the option to turn off 'Routing and NAT '. This disables the functions of routing and makes the WCG in a standard modem. So disable Routing & NAT. You will lose the connection to the WCG.

Now, you reconfigure the WRT: you open the web interface http://192.168.1.2/ enable the DHCP server (or better leave it turned on). Set the type of internet connection on automatic/DHCP. If you wish you can put the WRT default 192.168.1.1 IP address. Save the settings. Now, cable wires of the WCG in the internet port of the WRT. The WRT must now use the WCG as modem and gets his audience to the internet IP address of your ISP. You can check on the status of the WRT page. Now it should show an IP address instead of the 0.0.0.0 that you see if you connect the WRT by port 1 for the WCG. Make sure that your computers renewal DHCP IP address either by restarting or by entering "ipconfig / renew *" as an administrator in a command prompt window.

    That's all.

A note: according to the manual of the WCG will be internal IP address 192.168.100.1. If you need to make changes on the WCG once again, you must either set up a static IP address on a computer inside the 192.168.100. * with the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and connect the computer directly to the WCG or you simply press the reset of the WCG for 30 seconds to reset. Then the WCG is back to 192.168.0.1 with active DHCP server, i.e. you can connect a computer directly to the WCG, it gets a valid IP address to connect to the WCG and you can make changes again.

  • IP address? DHCP?

Here in the United Kingdom, I want to connect using as WRT WRT ngn350 via a Modem, AM200, a necessity has no modem phone line. Through the books several times and failed to connect seems to be due to my bad setting of the IPs, and even features DHCP if neither manual mentions these issues arising from two separate devices.

I don't understand that one device should use DHCP. Is this correct? If Yes, who is better to give this responsibility to? Further on this point, one of the devices wonder at the top of the page, if IP to be obtained automatically. I don't remember that Scripture which device. Get my addresses dynamically from the ISP, I wonder if the ref in the config of the said is internal within these two devices on my network.

Both devices have default IP 192.168.1.1 address and clearly, it will not work so what address should I change and what it takes? Unless you advise me otherwise, I would like the router, WRT350N, stay like that and cottages on IPs but the router will not be the first device that would be a problem on the LAN?

If you have other tips on configs for this arrangement say. I used to use combined devices and indeed bought the WRT by mistake because of the "vagueness" of the spots in this regard.

The AM200 is router with built-in modem. This is the main problem. I recommend only to use a single router.

    Two recommended alternatives:

    1. set the AM200 in Bridge mode and use the WRT for your internet connection. The problem is, however, maybe that's not possible if your ISP uses PPPoA Protocol to connect to the internet. The WRT doesn't support PPPoA, only the AM200. I think that some providers of access to the use of U.K. PPPoA. If this is the case with your ISP then this alternative is no option for you. With the AM200 filled internet WRT handles all related functions. The WRT also distributes IP addresses in the local network through its DHCP server.

    2. use the AM200 as internet gateway/router/modem and use the WRT as ethernet switch and single access point. In this case, all functions related to the internet are on the AM200 only. The DHCP server is on the AM200. You will need to change the address LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 WRT and disable the DHCP server on the WRT. Then one of the WRT LAN ports connect to your AM200. Do not use the internet port on the WRT.

There is a third alternative, but I recommend not to not use. Chaining routers is less then optimal and some experiences of people disconnects, instability and other probems with this type of installation:

    3. allow the AM200 as router on 192.168.1.1. Change the address LAN IP of the WRT from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1. Now connect the internet port of the WRT to the AM200. Now, you use two servers DHCP, one on the AM200 portion 192.168.1. * on the side of LAN of the AM200 which is also the side WAN/internet of the WRT (i.e. The WRT gets its internet IP address of the DHCP server on the AM200). The other DHCP server is the DHCP server on the WRT which now serves addresses 192.168.2 * to whatever it is connected wired or wireless to the WRT.

Still, I do not recommend no. 3. You have chained two routers. First of all, everything is routed on the WRT then on the AM200 (or vice versa). Both routers are running NAT.

I would recommend N1 if possible (that is, if you use PPPoA). If it is n ° 1 and n ° 2.

  • ACS Web Interface 5.1 does not

We have a Cisco Access Control Server (TACACS+ version 5.1) with an additional
2 port NIC card. This produces 4 ports on the ACS server(G0 through G3).

After initial setup of the ACS server with an IP address on G0, I connected a Windows 7
server with IE8 to G0. The ACS web interface appears (after accepting certificate) and I
entered some user accounts and NDGs.

I then connected the ACS server to a configured port with port-security on our 6500
switch. The port becomes err-disabled since the MAC address does not match up. It appears
that the onboard NIC on the ACS server is bonded thus producing the MAC address issue.

To fix this connection issue, on the ACS server, I cleared out G0 and setup G2 (additiional
NIC card) with the IP address. After connecting to the 6500 switch, the ACS server port
    works fine.

I removed the connection to the 6500 and connected the Windows server to the ACS.I can ping
the ACS server but the web interface is now unavailable unlike before. I do not get a
certificate warning on IE, it just states that internet not available.

On ACS, the 'show' status of acs shows all the processes are running and initialized.

Any help would be appreciated. It has got me stumped as all I did was change NIC configuration
    on the ACS server.

    Antonio

I wanted to check if the failed to load web interface could also be due to something on the 6500 switch.

    So far:

You have been able to see the Web interface with the ACS configured on G0 and directly connected to the PC Win 7.

With the G0 set to ACS, you saw some MAC problem and so no web interface.

With the ACS configured on G2, you can test the ACS server when it is directly connected and connected to the 6500, but in both cases do not display the web interface.

So, it seems that you have two options:

    (1) seek to solve your problem of port security 6500.  (You have access to set up the port-security 6500?)

    (2) fix the G2 interface configuration.  If you do not see the web interface with the Win 7 PC directly connected then there is something wrong with the config on GBA.

  • CRio inside the schools network, IP addresses change and causing problems

    Hello

We have about five CRio modules in our labs, and they are connected by ethernet to our school system. We use all these CRios for about 3-5 different computers.

We have a problem which, because of internet IP addresses security are changed for a certain period of time, i.e. every two months. We must always know from the measurement and Automation Explorer which is the IP and then change on demand (.VI) and then compile new .exe file, and then copy it to other computers.

Is there an easy way to keep the CRio IP to the same (can 'lock us'?) or is there an easy way to do it within the .VI, without doing each time again and again for all computers.

In your LabVIEW project, you can right-click on the controller, select Properties, and then change the IP address for the host name. If you use IP addresses in your screws, you should be able to simply replace the IP address with the host name in most cases.
