WRT110 Signal Streng

I just installed the WRT 110 router on my network, but the signal to the devices of my son is too poor, 1 yellow bar, before I installed the router that I have updated to the latest firmware le.5. The router replaces a single antenna not expensive router Netgear he was causing disconnects. The problem is that the wireless signal is comapered too low for the netgear not expensive one, the router is located in the same place as the former. When I got the weak signal, I replaced all my cables for the new network. But what bothers me is really that this router that is underneath a single antenna at low prices from 2005, this 110 WRT has 2 built-in antennas. Reset you the router after the upgrade of the firmware on the router... If not then, reset the router for 1 minute, reset the router and reconfigure from scratch.

WRT110 Wireless - unable to detect the signal/connection.
Recently lost connectivity to an existing wireless connection I had set up over the past months. The two XP laptop with Dell Wireless WLAN Card and box of Wii is no longer connect or detect the signal. Curiously, WiFi stood momentarily after the reset of power on the router but then disappeared. I connect well with connection wired and mobile detects all my neighbors SSID. All the lights on the router are bed... but no wireless signal. I even joined a wireless USB device to my desktop pc to test. It detected all the SSID of the neighbors but not mine. Even with the laptop.
Troubleshooting steps I did:
-Router-
Power recycled.
Held reset button.
Linksys firmware to 1.0.5 update
Configuration is modified to enable the SSID Broadcast

Card driver WLAN Dell upgrade vA17 4.170.5 to 4.170.77.18 vA22
People with disabilities Dell Wireless utility and enabled Windows Wireless configuration. Either the Dell or Windows detected my wireless signal wireless utility. Both will detect AND connect to the open connection of the neighbor.

Readjust the settings of your router wireless...
Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...
For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.
Click on the Wireless tab
-Here, select manual configuration... Wireless network mode must be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the name box of the wireless network (SSID) in order to differentiate your network from your network of neighbors...
-Set the Standard - 20 MHz Radio band and change the Standard channel to 11-2, 462 GHz... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled and then click on save settings...
Please take note of the name of the wireless network (SSID) because it's the network identifier...For wireless security: -.
Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the mode of WEP wireless security, encryption must be 64-bit. Let the empty password, do not type in anything... Under type of WEP Key 1 in all 10 numbers please (numbers only and no mailbox for example: your 10-digit phone number) and click on save settings... Please note the 1 WEP key as it comes to the security key for the wireless network...Click the settings advanced wireless
Change the interval of tag to 75 > change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 > click 'save settings '...

WRT110 - effective range only 15-20 feet
Hello community,
I have a problem with my newly acquired Linksys by Cisco WRT110 running latest firmware 1.0.05 router. My configuration:
-iMac 24 in - wired
-2 x iphone 3G
The problem is few important parameters: the iPhone will connect within 15-20 feet from the router. I started with the default settings with WPA2 security. I finally turned down the parameters to G only, Channel 6, with security settings disabled.
At this point, I don't think that it's phones, because they both have the same exact behavior with all the settings. They will connect when close then drop down to 1-2 bars, then lower to 3 G connection.
I have the router mounted flat against the wall above the iMac, and the printer. Must be flat and level of size?
Any ideas? Help!
Here's a tip I learned from a friend that will boost the effectiveness of the connection of mobile devices, such as my 2 iphones:
Under wireless--> AdvancedWirelessSettings
Change the position of G to 6 Mbit/s transmission rate.
This will allow the router to negotiate with material at a high speed and will not drop their signal. My question works better, but not fantastic.

WRT110 wireless speed too slow
Wired connection from the computer to my new WRT110 Acer laptop to dual-core with 2 MB of RAM is really very fast. (G-band) wireless speed is slower than dial-up or slower. I can't use it yet! The signal is strong. How can I improve speed? My older work laptop Lenovo sitting right next to my Acer wireless connection is very fast.
No, not the firewall problem. I changed the MTU of 'auto' on 'manual' and changed default value of 1500 to 1300. I don't know what an MTU, but it is an improvement of the DRAMATIC speed on wireless.

WRT110 abandons the connection
Good day to all!
My WRT110 interrupts the connection from time to time, once or twice randomly per night + when one of my other PC starts.
I have a wired Synology DS209 NAS, Internet broadband (via modem) and several wireless computers. In this case, the problem is reproducible: I have a connection on 1 PC, and when I start one of the other PC, the connection drops for 5 minutes (both internet and to my NAS) on all connected systems. After these 5 minutes, each system will connect again. All systems have DHCP turned on and all systems have different IPs just before that happens. I did a "return to the default settings" and power cycles, but the problem remains.
When I look at with Vistumbler (or NetStumbler), I see 90% to 0% signal drop once by - say - 5 minutes and irregular.
Should I get a faulty router?

WRT110 disconnects when multiple PC access to the router
I am new to router technology and have had my router wireless of the WRT110 for almost a year. We normally have one (sometimes 2) hard laptop computers connected to the router, and a third computer laptop wireless connection. It seems that when my other child is home from College and connect wirelessly to the router all the connectivity for all PC gets declined. Connectivity behaves as if it is connect and then disconnect frequently. When my child goes back to school we have usually not problems more.
Am I overload the volume of traffic on the router with 1 2 wireless and 2 wired or wireless Wi - Fi and 2,? An electric bike helps sometimes, but should I always have to do that?
Any help will be appreciated as I learn best practices for this device.

I changed the settings you suggested and connectivity has been solid as a rock! I had several laptops and wired PC on and the signal remains solid. Hope that he holds at the time of my other child home from College. Thanks much for the advice.

Intermittent Internet connection with WPC100 and WRT110
I bought a router WRT110 wireless several weeks ago. Used with my WPC55AG without any problem at all. I liked the wireless-N, so I decided to upgrade to a Wireless N notebook card and bought a WPC100. I can still connect to the router with the signal strength of 100%. However, when you try to access the Internet, sometimes I can connect to Web sites, but I regularly get an Internet Explorer error message cannot connect to the internet, even if the signal is always 100%.
Tried to go back to my WPC55AG and not to make any connection error messages. Tried to connect to my router with my PSP and not to make any connection error messages. Connected to another router wireless that didn't have WPA or WEP using my WPC100 and did not have any connection error messages...

I changed my router settings as you suggested, with the exception of the security mode - I left it to WPA - 2 because I wanted the extra security. It worked fine for a day, until I restarted my laptop...
Then I tried to use your router suggested settings and set the WPA security mode and it works very well for 2 days and several reboots!

So I moved from s7 Edge for iPhone 7 more. Since the switch, I have signal problems. Where, normally, I LTE 3 bars on my edge of s7, I now get 4g and E even on my iPhone 7 more. What is going on!!! BTW, I'm on T-Mobile.

I have an iPhone 5s (model 1533) and after the update to iOS 10 I can't get a signal, I tried a full restore and update and also reset network as well as the obvious reboot. I had the same problem on Verizon. I fixed mine by going to settings, cell and disable roaming data and then on again. Its happened twice so far, as well as a few other bugs. iOS 10 is probably the worst launch of iOS.

The dual SSID Signal interference
I have the cable and Internet provided by AT & T. I mainly had Comcast when you live in different parts of the country. I am owner of an Airport Extreme and Time Capsule I used previously to set up the network internal in addition to the SSID broadcast material of the cable company. I never had a problem before using AT & T. I noticed that the Internet speeds both the provider of cable and speed on the internal network have been seriously degraded. I was unable to stream movies. After several attempts to solve the problems with AT & T and myself, I found the problem: it seems to be interference of signals between AT & T and Airport Extreme material each broadcasting separate SSID in very close to one another. I got the Apple hardware, and the problem was solved immediately. While I'm happy to have it fixed, I don't miss the advantage of having the internal network using Apple devices. What are my options? Is it correct that I can't use the Apple devices to extend the SSID signal emissions equipment AT & T? I think the problem might be solved, perhaps, if the two gateways were not close to one another, but I do not have another spot to plug the Airport Extreme.

Unfortunately correct.
Apple routers work that to extend another router from Apple... no other brand is invited to the party.
I think the problem might be solved, perhaps, if the two gateways were not close to one another, but I do not have another spot to plug the Airport Extreme.
Separate the two routers as much as you can... I always recommend 6feet or about 2 M. If they are closer than this really a wireless should be turned off. Only for this case deactivate the ATT router instead of your apple.
There are enough wireless channels to run 3 wireless routers close to each other.
Sometimes the automatic separation of channels does not work and you need to get and change physically.
Use wireless diagnostics (many versions available, but it is built into Mac OS since the Mountain Lion)
There are a bunch of tools... the actual diagnosis is not particularly useful in my experience.

Change the automatic 2.4 ghz regardless of the channel you want.
Save and update from the airport.
Especially for 5 GHz, I think that your stay on auto should be fine. It is more short-range and isn't usually a big problem.
Note also the signal strength really counts... things go wrong if you don't have enough separation and the signal strength is low.

Although Diagnostics of scanning you will offer between channels... do not be fooled that this corrects the problem.

I was able to find an iPhone 7 more black well, worked all day, slept and next morning no cell report real message was no Service. I tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, reset the phone. I tried same sim in another phone and it works. Seems to be a similar issue to those who have the problem of airplane mode. There is now no point on the phone that I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh. Any ideas?
I have a similar problem. I have an iPhone 7 Verizon and it also loses the signal while driving. It says no Service. Restart the phone temporarily solves the problem. I called Verizon and they have other reports and said that Apple is aware of the issue. I hope it's just a software fix!

The music does not open even when no signal.
I have a spotty cell service where I live. When at work and I am in one of these areas of service not, my music even will not open. I saved music to play offline, but the screen is not yet open. Another way to test is to make sure that the two devices are out of the case and test. It is very possible, the case that you use, and by your own admission, your phone was forced to, causes the degradation of the signal.
